My wife and I come here often to get some of their cookies. Man are they good! My favorite is their chocolate peppermint cookie. I love the added texture of chocolate chips in their chocolate cookie and the peppermint frosting really goes well with the chocolate! My wife loves their classic vanilla (sugar cookie). Well I've heard that this place has good cookies. Tried my first one (chocolate chip) at the Ship & Sip place in American Fork. It was a good cookie. Tonight I was craving for a semi sweet chocolate chip cookie, and since other places don't have semi sweet chocolate chip cookie as part of their regular menu, I decided to come to this location for the first time and try their semi sweet chocolate chip cookie. Maybe it was the time of night we showed up (7:30ish) but I was not impressed with this cookie at all. The dough/cookie part of the cookie looked like a light pale color, with big holes in the texture. It was more crunchy than I'd like, maybe because it's been sitting on the cookie sheet display for a while. There was no appearance or taste of any "gooey-ness" pin the cookie at all, which means it wasn't fresh. We also tried the lemon drop cookie - frosting was way too sweet and overpowering. The M&M cookie, well it was just alright. The milk chocolate toffee was just ok - had better. Yes, each cookie (without frosting topping) was just over a dollar (maybe $1.15 per cookie), which was a pretty good cost for a cookie. But then again, you get what you pay for. They got the counter was kind enough to give us an extra bag so we could wrap are delicious Red Velvet iced cookie up and stick in my pocket. It was tasty. Smart Cookie is a great place for dessert, especially if you're on campus at BYU. Go get it after eating at J Dawg's or Nina's. The ice cream and the cookies are fabulous, and prices are great. Just visiting Utah and got a recommendation to try Smart Cookie. Shop was cute and clean. I got 4 non-frosted cookies and 4 frosted cookies. Both were delicious. The chocolate chip walnut is my favorite. Only recommendation to Smart cookie is to make an 8 pack sampler pack where you can get 4 frosted and 4 Non-frosted. Place was empty and dark upon arrival I almost thought it was closed. Prices were fair for ice cream but a little pricey for cookies. Due to Covid there was not a place to sit in or outside. I've loved this place since my college days around 2005 (can't remember which year they opened). Having recently moved back to Utah, I had to take my young children so they could experience it as well. The service was great, portions of ice cream were HUGE, and overall it was a good experience. The one thing that would have really been nice, would have been an option for a smaller ice cream sandwich, one that a 3 or 5 year old could handle. Since my son and I were getting our own ice cream sandwiches, my two daughters wouldn't settle for JUST ice cream or JUST a cookie. They had to have both, too, and that seemed fair enough. I figured a sugar cookie and a kids ice cream would be perfect for them. Well, the cookies were roughly twice what they could eat in a sitting, and the ice cream was probably three times as much as they could eat. My son and I had an equally difficult time eating the ice cream sandwiches, and had to resort to eating just some of the ice cream and saving the entire cookies for later. I honestly don't think they made them that big at Smart Cookie 10-15 years ago. It's hard to complain about getting TOO much for your money, but I couldn't enjoy the ice cream sandwich the way I wanted to and had to deconstruct it, and we also ended up throwing a lot of ice cream away. It was a tasty treat, but also a little bit of a bummer. Edited to add (in response to the business owner's comment), I took the star away because I'd like to see a smaller portion item at a lower price. Sure, you get great value for what you're getting, but what if my 3 year old wants to choose her own flavors for an ice cream sandwich? She literally couldn't get her mouth around it. A kid size ice cream sandwich for a couple of dollars would be fantastic, and wouldn't leave my younger children feeling left out. Okay don't get me wrong I love smart cookie. the cookies are usually pretty impressive, but lately the last four or FIVE times I have stopped by they are bare for cookie choices from the day, leaving only maybe 3 or 4 kinds of cookies to pick from and it's only 6 or 7 PM! (This includes the Ice cream too) the ice cream choices are very limited and the last ice cream scoops we got were very freezer burnt. The last concert or complaint I have is the employees, I know that customer service can be stressful and difficult but the last few times the girls are very un-eager to serve the customers, they side eye each other as to see who's "turn" it is to help; when asking when there will be new cookies they just say they aren't baking them at the moment. I was shocked the first time I came to Smart Cookie. I expected to pay $5 for my ice-cream sandwich treat, but they only charged ~$3! Dryer's ice-cream between two, fresh cookies. Yum! I love the white-chocolate macademia cookies with strawberry ice-cream, and cookies-n-cream ice-cream with fudge-mint cookies. I also love just stopping by to pick up 3 cookies (chocolate fudge, peanut butter, and other) and a chocolate mile for ~$3. I consider it a great bargain for a fatty, pick-me-up. Just a note, these butter- and sugar-infused cookies don't keep for more than a day or two, so don't bother trying to stock up. They're terrible once they sugar and fat starts to separate. read more

I've only had these cookies brought in. So I haven't been to the shop, my disclaimer. I've had the vanilla and chocolate frosted sugar cookies. Both we equally delicious. The texture is exactly what I love in a sugar cookie, super soft and moist. The frosting was a little too sour cream flavored for my liking and a little thick. I've tried very few other cookies because I like the sugar cookie so much. The other cookies I have tried have been good also. I also love there frozen hot chocolate! So yummy! Young girls always working there, sometimes friendly at the counter when your paying but when you first walk in they just stare and no welcome to smart cookie or anything. If I was there manger I would be telling them to greet customers when they come in because looks better. Besides that there service doesn't take away from there excellent cookies! We have been wanting to try this place for a few months but haven't made our way here. We walked in on a Saturday at 8:30pm and they were low and out of most of their cookies. We were hoping to get ice cream sandwiches but they had empty cartons in the case and not a lot of selection.
