What a joke this place is. I called from down town Brawley to ask if they accepted walk-ins. The lady said that they do and come on in. About 8 minutes later I arrived and saw two hair stylist working with nobody at the counter. I stood at the counter for about 20 minutes before anyone would acknowledge my presence. Finally one of the hair stylist asked if I needed help. I said yes I'm a walk in I just called. She had a bewildered look on her face and said "uh I dunno prolly gonna be awhile" and continued cutting her customers hair. After about another 5 minutes another hair stylist actually came to the counter to speak with me. I told her the same thing that I told the first lady. Here for a walk in just called. She had a look on her face that screamed OMG IM OVERWHELMED. She rolled her eyes for a few seconds and made weird sounds with her mouth and you could tell she perplexed by this situation. Finally she says "well it'll be 45 minutes to an hour before anyone can help you. I said you have got to be kidding I just called you and you said come on in. She claimed that when I called there was nobody in the salon. So these folks have two stylist to handle that business, in a Walmart store where there immense foot traffic? Ok. I'll never go back and it's u fortunate cuz I tip like 10-12 bucks for a damn military type haircut and doesn't require a talented barber to cut my hair. If you own this salon and happen to read this review, I urge you to speak with your people about properly dealing with customers. After all, they pay your damn bills. Update. So I get a response from this company. They give me an email to contact them so they can "make things right" and immediately my email client says it's an invalid email address. I went ahead and sent off the message anyway and as yet have received no reply to that email. I don't know. At this point I don't think I'd trust these people to cut my hair. Bad Service. I have been going in for 4 days with appointments for a quick trim, they never call me that they are ready for me. Instead, they start taking in walk ins. I called that I had been waiting for an excessive amount of time and when she says I can go in they ignore me and keep me waiting. I don't recommend going here especially with an appointment which seems there is no use for. They do not prioritize appointments! read more

I have no idea why the stars are so low... Tonya if it was bad service for 2 years..why did you come back!!! We have been coming to this smart style for cuts and waxing for several years and it has always been the same staff...and they always do a great job. The staff always asks if this is how I want it or if I am happy... a few times I have asked for a shorter style or more of a fade ect.... they are always happy to make it exactly how I want. You really cant beat the prices here and the service is great. I like that they have kept my 3 favorite ladies the whole time weve been coming here. Ludy, Mindy and Marisol are my favorite. They are great with my 5 kids also! read more

I just recently got ny hair done yesterday to be nice and ready for going back to school. I never thought this would ever happen throughout all my yrs of having my hair done. It was the cr*ppiest job. I previously had someone named Sondra do it absolutely perfect yet she moved away. The one who recently did my hair named Mindy did quite a terrible job. She added all these products to my hair that was unnecessary, didn't flat my hair up to the roots, and did an uneven cut. Then when we were going to pay were going to be charged an additional $10 just because they used the flat iron. Idk who's running this place but someone needs to get these people to clean up their act or at least hire professionals. Because they need to be taught to work with a bunch of varieties of hair. read more

I was pretty disappointed when I heard that a customer was disrespected in front of other people when she had a appointment to go fix her hair due to a previous mishap on her hair with one of the stylist. Another stylist was nice enough to redo her hair and fix it but as soon as she explain to the stylist what she wanted fixed she was confronted by another stylist and disrespected. The lack of customer service that was shown at this salon was un called for. Basically they are saying if you the "customer" is not satisfied with your hair then you better not come back and fix it wow! Some of these stylists really need a class in customer service they had no right to speak to a customer in that manner to the point the customer left upset in tears. You have no business working in that environment if you cannot handle yourself and be professional. Also I wonder if their 5 star is accurate on their Facebook page since it seems that any bad review they erase it & block you.. hmmm something to think about. read more
