Boyfriend used to have long, shaggy hair that he was a little nervous to have cut out of distrust... until Lori. It's hard to explain how much she's better, but I think it has something to do with her teaching ... hair... in KC years ago and moving back to small town Nevada. She doesn't just get a feel for what will look good on your face, she uses some magical powers to quickly get an impeccable read of your personality. I didn't know her that well the first time she cut my hair, but she pulled out the character she found and convinced me to never cut my own hair again. She just moved from Galerie 307 to Spalon, on the square of Nevada, and the new decor is just adorable. You walk in and can't believe you're still in Nevada, Missouri. Everything is very modern yet comfortable, the music is always just barely noticeable so you can enjoy some conversation while you get your beauty on, and they're always busy. In Nevada. It's so fun to see! Randy is hilarious, and though he's only been in once when I have, was just an added bonus to the ambiance. They do massages, facials, manicures... I can't keep up with everything they do, but this place is THE place. In fact, the boyfriend and I have already made the two hour drive from Kansas City to Nevada just to have our hair cut by Lori. You just can't go to anyone else after Lori... you just can't.
