First off, this is my second review. The other one was on Google. I received a response that what we experienced is "never ok," which I see is how they respond to bad reviews. They gave me an email address to which I sent more particulars, and guess what? No one responded. So apparently they think it's ok to keep allowing their cooks to not cover their heads or wear gloves while scratching their scalps and then preparing food. That's what we saw while dealing with their front clerk. So like others have said here, she isn't pleasant. We ordered our to-go burgers medium with a little pink. She said no one orders burgers that way. And wasn't pleasant about it. Hello! We have ordered burgers that way forever. My husband's came out right, mine was well done. I usually love this place. I was trying to order the spicy jalapeño smash and the lady at the front could not understand that I wanted to sub the burger for a "crispy chicken". I've ordered this countless times with no issue. The lady at the register kept asking if I wanted a single or double chicken. I said, I only want one breaded/crispy chicken. She got kind of rude and kept repeating "single or double". I continued to say just a single. Even held up a finger. I wasn't sure what to do with the interaction. Never go to this location. Girl, I think her name is Taek, she has braces if that was not her name. I was the only customer at around 5:15pm on 6/30. She was annoyed I was there. Did not know the menu and had no clue what was in the smash sauce. I asked for a burger that I saw online. Her response was I have no idea about the online menu. So I showed it to her, she was even more annoyed. Then, I asked for ranch, she rudely said "we give that to u". This was my first visit to smash burger and will b my last. I have loved being able to get a grilled chicken sandwich at Smashburger but I was so disappointed. The chicken has changed from being a decent sized piece of chicken to a flat layer of what looked like a ground chicken part. It was maybe 1/4 inch thick. I ordered the smash grilled chicken and really ended up with a thin layer of chicken and overpaid greatly for a meal that was mostly bun with a piece of lettuce and tomato. The sweet potato fries were the only good thing. The staff were pleasant and nice enough but paying over $20 for a bun will keep me away. read more

We visit here only a few times a year and tonight reminded me why. First off, I'll give credit to where it was earned. The food was great . Burgers cooked well, fries were hot, tots were crispy. That is about it. The girl who was working front of house seemed to have other priorities. She never greeted us, didn't bother to ask how could she help. She sighed and rolled her eyes while distracted by her phone and both AirPods in her ears. My husband ordered a large tot, and we were confused when only a hand full was on his tray. There were two containers on the counter labeled regular and large. Curious as to why didn't she clarify that apparently tots only come in one side. Oh, yeah phone, and whatever was playing in her ears. As far as the ambience, it is also is less than desirable. The kitchen was playing their own music, which is so loud it drowns out the different music in the dining area. It was very overstimulating to have all the music playing at the same time. The floors were messy, tables were dirty, booths are torn, drink station was sticky. So if you want a decent burger and don't mind being treated like a nuisance, go ahead. While I can appreciate that it's hard to differentiate in the hamburger space that's full of competition, salt and grease (fat) aren't the ways to do it- flavorful ingredients are. 2 signature burgers and onion rings plus tax and tip was $21, which is good these days, so stars for pricing. I had been to this Smashburger in Longmont once, several years ago, but apparently never reviewed it. I was leaving an event in the area today and thought it would be a great spot to grab a bite before heading back to Boulder. I used to love Smashburger but for more than a year I have refused to go to the Boulder location because my last few visits had been very disappointing, in food quality, service and cleanliness. Having the opportunity to try this location again turned out well. It's recent Yelp reviews told the story, much more in line for a good experience. I am so glad I went. My fave Colorado burger was just right. Fresh, hot, just right loaded to be a bit messy and yummy. No complaint. Service seemed a little slow but maybe that's what it takes these days to get it right, when even if the place is fairly empty mid afternoon, there are Smash and Dash orders still being cooked and packed. The place was clean, everyone was polite and had a smile. I would come back again when in Longmont. Boulder Smashburger, get in shape and provide the experience that this location does! read more

They are short staffed, so I am willing to give the staff the benefit of the doubt. But that being said, I'd rate 0/5 if possible: 1st: The girl behind the counter entered my order incorrect. I ordered the Double Bacon Smash Burger with no tomato. She entered it as a single, and brought me a regular smash burger with everything. Yes, I could have paid a little closer attention to the order screen to correct her, and if it was just the Single Bacon Smash she entered I'd be fine and eat it anyway. But that's not what happened. 2nd: The wait for our food was long, about 30 minutes before she brought out the food. But once again, they were short staffed so I was willing to be patient. However, when we finally got the food they forgot my partners pickles and I was brought out the wrong burger entirely. When I requested the correct burger, I heard the girl tell the cook to make my burger and with no acknowledgment from her at all, I waited a moment and then headed back to my seat. I then proceeded to wait 45 minutes before I noticed people who came in and ordered after us finishing their meals and leaving. That's when we had enough and my partner approached the register to ask for a refund so we could just leave. 3rd: My partner received horrendous attitude from both the girl at the register and the manager. When she asked for a refund she was asked "What burger?" Implying we were waiting for no reason and had been waiting for nothing. Then was met with doubt and mistrust from the manager when trying to simply get a refund for a burger we never got. After some back and forth, we eventually got our refund and promptly left. Have ordered many times through Uber eats, have not been disappointed until now. We got the Cobb salad with crispy chicken, bacon burger, and Oreo milkshake. It arrives and the milkshake is missing. The salad is in this tiny bowl not even full, the lettuce is brown and slimy and there is no dressing. The burger was wrapped up super tight and felt like a rock and it was a measly looking burger. Ok, now I'm done. This is the third or fourth time recently that I've been here, ordered to go, and it's taken way too long. This time, place was almost empty except for a few others waiting too long for their to go orders. Mine took 24 minutes, for a burger and fries. For this particular location: This being my main Smashburger, I stop in at least once a week and the staff here is pretty amazing. Usually its a younger gentleman at the register and he greets everyone immediately on entering and is over and above polite and friendly. Everyone here seems to know what smashburger has to offer and how the coupons work. We almost always order an eccentric amount of pickles because we love them and they happily give us what is fair when you ask for a bucket of pickles. The inside is always clean, and my orders are always correct regardless of how unique and customized I make them. We are always offered water cups if we are getting ToGo and the atmosphere always feels welcoming. During a busy time or when short staffed you can find tables left dirty, but it's been a few rare times I have had that an issue or even noticed it. For a fast food style burger chain, the burgers here are very above average. They are always made fresh and the toppings are always fresh in texture and flavor. I have tried a few of the specialty burgers and dozens of the create your own burgers and I have yet to get a burger that I would consider to be subpar. The portion sizes of the patties are just right for what I would expect and the prices for them are superior to nearly everything else. Alongside having good burgers, they also have great sides such as the grilled brussel sprouts, which I have only and will only eat from here. They taste kind of like they are cooked in bacon, and don't have any of the sharp burned flavors I have found at other places. The fried pickles be it kind of on the salty side are perfect to put on top of burgers and add a nice crunch. My favorite thing about Smashburger is they not only have goat cheese as an option, but also a fried egg, which to me is kind of mandatory for a burger. I have never seen another fast food type of chain offer fried egg on their burgers, only sit down restaurants. Also if you are a member of the club you get frequent coupons and discounts that are pretty worth making this a regular burger stop. read more

When people complain about how long it takes, they aren't kidding. Over 30 minutes for 6 wings, a burger, 1 smashfries, 1 reg fry, and fried onions. Wings were cold since we watched them sit in the window for 15 minutes. Received two smashfries instead of one regular. The front worker had to ask for the fried onions 4 times. We warmed up the wings at home. When we called the manager said she knows the wings weren't sitting for 15 minutes. I get it. They were busy. But don't lie. When we ordered we were told it would take 12-15 minutes. Maybe give real times next time and the expectation will be set. Then we, as the customer, can't complain when a realistic time is given. A manger has to get a handle on timing of food. Putting the onions out that get cold before the wings. Then forgetting the redone onions once the wings are made. Not sure what is going on with this location but my wife and I just had double Bacon Avacado Club smash burgers but it seems like they have forgotten how to smash and cook the burgers. The burgers were over cooked and my wife's second patty was half the size of the first. There may have been bacon on the sandwich's but if so they used bacon bits. If we hadn't picked up the sandwich's we would have had them both remade. We won't be returning to this location ever. Something has gone very badly wrong with the 965 S Hover St. Longmont location. Can't remember ever giving a one or two star before but this location has gone above and beyond. I used to eat at this location regularly before they closed for renovations a few years ago for renovation but it seems like they've failed to maintain any kind of standards. read more

SMASH!!! Yes, I gave another Smash a horrible rating while this location just took my heart with 5 solid stars. My first experience was far from perfect but after giving them a second chance here in Longmont... I was honestly hooked! When I crave a juicy burger, this place comes to mind. They can make a mean meal! Not only is the food tasty & fresh but the service has always been friendly & helpful. Pricing is a little higher then your $1.19 +tax McDouble or any $1 menu classic from other fast food joints but premium burgers at these same places can cost the same, if not more then the great burgers here. They pride themselves in quality and want to stand out from the other speedy eateries out there. It's a step above "fast food" and a tiny notch below casual dining. I'm totally a fan of smashes style! They aren't your generic "get in & get out" type of restaurant and they're fairly hassle free in comparison to being waited on elsewhere. Smash is accommodating with the extras (sauces, free toppings, etc) and always eager to make any changes if they goofed up. The staff and management is there to help you.. make sure your heard if you are truly upset. My favorite sauce is the truffle mayo to dip my fries in and the sin city burger (off their "secret menu") is always a winner for me. I absolutely recommend Smashburger to anyone that wants to indulge in a good-fairly priced burger. I'd be more then happy to offer up any personal advice to those curious about this burger joint :) LOVE IT! read more

I came here with my mom after church on Sunday around noon because she said her co-workers kept talking about it. Buffalo Burger- not too overwhelming with the Frank's hot sauce/blue cheese- so good! Smash fries- I don't usually like skinny fries much but the seasoning on these were really good! For a large fry, two burgers, and one fountain drink it was under $20. I recently attended an event at this location and was blown away by the service (General Manager Brian did an excellent job teaching us about the burger smashing method), food, and cleanliness of the restaurant. The restaurant's franchise owner as well as his marketing director were also present and I was very pleased that they were not only very approachable but also willing to answer any questions we had. At this event I had the pleasure of not only trying all of the sides (even those on their "secret menu") but also all the burgers (up to that time I had only been indulging in the spicy baja black bean burger and spicy baja chicken burger). There is something quite spectacular that happens to the beef burgers during the "smashing" process (Brian referred to this as "meat candy") because I rarely eat beef and have already found myself craving these sumptuous burgers. I will definitely be returning for not only the fried pickles, truffle mushroom swiss, and veggie frites but also their spectacular service. read more

Sloppy , cleanliness, food baggers don't even wash their hands after changing trash bags. the employee with hair all over the place and dirty shirt on, was upset with me because I asked her to please take those gloves and wash your hands. I struggle with this - 3.5 stars really for this particular visit. 1. It is quite expensive, which is hard for my finances right now, although the food is good. 2. They didn't get my order quite right - tomatoes were left off the burger. Not worth complaining though. 3. Made it a bit difficult to match up and if we had wanted it earlier to eat with the burgers, that would have been worse. We decided to go back and give Smashburger in Longmont another try. I forgot to take pictures but we were definitely pleased with this experience. We both really liked our burgers. They were hot and cooked right - the toppings were perfection. We shared a side of the Smashfries - they were a bit greasy but they were hot, crispy and flavorful. YUM! The real test for me was going to be our shake. I was so disappointed by the shake last time (see previous review) - I was anxious to see if that had been fixed. And?! I'm happy to report that it was perfection. It was expertly made and this time it was served in the tall glass with the extra on the side. Excellent. We were both very pleased this time around. They were closed due to short staffing said the sign on the door at about 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 9th. I had to drive through Longmont CO so I went to that one. Walked in, dirty tables was the first impression. Woman named Kerri took my order. I ordered one item, a regular old hamburger, no cheese, plain with pickles only. Over ten bucks. No fries, no drink. Ten bucks. I insert my debit card. She prints out a receipt and hands me a pen that was on the counter (dirty) and asks me to sign. Really? Sign? The usual place for a tip. The burger was awful. They forgot the pickles. Just an overall bad experience for a very simple burger order at a place that specializes in burger orders.
