Robert here, a year and a half ago. My wife Imelda and I moved to the area just NW of Moberly Mo. We have been using Smile dental since we got here. I am sorry to say, and have had nothing but trouble with their service thus far. Today I had one of my simple two cleanings a year scheduled with Dr. LieBart I believe. When I went back the dental assistant wanted to take X-rays. I told her that I was not a fan of any unnecessary ionizing radiation. To which she was adamant that I get an X-ray. She had me go sit in the dental chair and speak to the Dr. Liebhart. I told him my radiation concerns, and he said it was "against the law" for him to do a simple cleaning on my teeth without an X-ray. To that I say please give me the case number of that law, as I allege that to be not true. He said that they needed it to discern what level of cleaning I may need. I told him just the basic one, and he would not do it without the X-ray. I told him that I had been to several Dentists in the past (which I have) that had no problem cleaning my teeth without an X-ray. Then Dr. arrogant told me that maybe I should go to one that does that, because he would not do it. So I gladly obliged by calling the office and having my wife's and my dental records transferred to O'Laughlin Dental. Who when I called said they understood my concerns and would clean our teeth without an X-ray. A year or so ago my wife went to Smile who extracted several teeth. They also told her she had like bad gum disease and needed some high dollar cleaning per quadrant. We opted to go back to our old Dentist in Bethany Mo. Who after inspecting her teeth, told us that she just needed a simple cleaning and her gums looked great! The tooth that Smile Dental wanted to extract, our old Dentist gave her some antibiotics and was able to save it. Also Smile Dental's prices were over twice of our old Dentist office, so it always pays to shop around. There have also been scheduling problems as well. In summation if you like high prices, and an arrogant Dentist that could care less about your needs. Smile Dental may just be for you. read more

I love Smile Dental! The first time I went to Smile Dental, I called and made an emergency appointment. I was really happy they were able to fit me in because my wisdom tooth was coming in abscessed. I was foolish and waited until I couldn't even eat food to call and go. I was really happy they gave me a same day appointment. My first impression of Smile Dental was how beautiful it was. The inside was really fancy. The staff greeted me kindly and they used a tablet to get my information instead of pen and paper. This was the first place I had to do this, which was kind of neat. They had a nice flat screen TV with looping videos of landscapes and it helped relax me before I met the dentist. I got my X-Ray done and I sat in a chair waiting for the dentist. The assistant was really nice and kept me company, we chatted and I was able to relax. The dentist came in and he looked at my mouth and decided to pull the tooth. He told me how much it would cost, waited for me to call my dad, and he even gave me a full explanation while showing me my X-ray as to why he had to pull the tooth. We went along with the tooth pulling, which included a few numbing shots into my gums and a little wiggling. I didn't feel a thing. After he was done, he gave me a information sheet on what I should and shouldn't do, as well with some prescriptions to pick up to stop pain and ward off infection. He also gave me plenty of gauze. The lady at the front desk helped me with my payment. I don't think there was a single person here with a bad attitude! They were all so sweet and helpful. The assistant even let me keep my tooth as a trophy. I went again a few months later when another one of my wisdom teeth was growing into my cheek. I had the same wonderful experience and I wasn't the least bit nervous. They had to do surgery in order to remove the tooth and again, I had no pain. I even went to school and work the next day. Overall, this is a great place to get dental work done. The staff is really friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, and it is very clean and professional. There is also plenty of parking so you don't have to worry about not having a spot when you get there. read more

I've been going to Smile Dental in Moberly for the past 8 years. It's always been an incredibly good experience. Dr. Johnson and his team are top of the line...as good as it gets. Everything is done with extreme care and I never have to go back because something wasn't done right the first time. I've had some serious work done by Dr. Johnson and the recovery time is always quicker and easier than originally anticipated.
