On the bright side, my eyebrow wax came out great! As for the rest of it, I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure, french tip on both. The lines on toes are crooked, and the gel manicure cracked on nearly all my nails within 24 hours. I went back and they were nice and redid the manicure, but the same thing happened. 24 hours later the gel has cracked and caused my long natural nails to break completely off. They only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because one lady that worked there was really nice but this place is terrible compared to other places that I've been in the area very basic pedicure for $40 save your time and money and go to Riley's nails will get way more for your money and they do a great job. Heals still crusty after paying extra for callus removal and my polish is bad and I didn't even bother to have her fix again because she already had to fix first lady's work once. As you can see in pick that paint is bumpy and piling at cuticle my 11 year old can paint better than this. It looked as if other customers were getting better treatment. I needed to remove an SNS gel manicure that was very grown out, so I squeezed a Walk-In after my night shift and Becca removed the gel for only $10. She was very cautious to not over-dry my nails with acetone or over-buffer them because she wanted to make sure I was left with a healthy nail (and I was!). Excellent, professional service. The salon is very pretty and welcoming, and they provide many services other than nails. I think I'll be back soon for a pedicure! read more

I had my first visit to Smiley Nails this afternoon. I was VERY impressed and happy with their service. Lucy did my pedicure and was wonderful! She was so gentle and sweet. My nails are a little "funky" but she made them look beautiful! She massaged my feet and calves and really made me feel pampered. Amy, who did my manicure, was great and my nails look beautiful. I am thoroughly pleased with them. The sparking color she suggested is perfect! She knows her stuff! The beer for my hubby and the wine for me were wonderful surprises and very refreshing on a hot afternoon. When I go back again -- which I will! -- I will definitely request Lucy and Amy! If I could...I would give them 0 stars. I went to this place off and on for 3 years. I visited them right before my trip on Thursday and I had to wait 25 minutes for a guy to do my nails. He rushed and did not do a great job on my nails. The paint chipped, cracked and is very uneven. His work space was filthy and so were the floors and walls. I only came in for a manicure. I walked in and let him know I was unhappy a couple days later and all I got was attitude and him saying hr will redo and it might be free if i kept the same color. Poor customer service. Do not waste your money. This place has gone completely down hill. read more

Ok, Ahwatukee...this is now my go-to nail salon every single time. I recently moved back to Ahwatukee after three years away and am very impressed with the changes at Smiley Nails now that it is under new ownership. The staff there are very good at what they do and they want their customers to be completely satisfied. I've been rough on my nails the past few months, as I have taken on some major house projects, and my nails have taken a beating. Whenever I break a nail, Kim always takes care of it for me and does not give me any hassle. Smiley Nails can do it all, including the power dip nails, which is my current preference. They can usually handle walk-ins but it is best to call ahead if you are on a tight schedule. read more

Although the staff was very nice I was rushed through both my pedicure and manicure despite there being no wait (but it was a full house). I was done with both the pedicure and manicure by the time my mom was done with her pedicure. My feet were left rough and polish was sloppy. Becca is the BOMB! I have been going to her for almost 10 years. She is SUPER friendly, and more importantly VERY good at what she does! Anything from Mani/Pedi to Acrylics.. or even freehand art design on your lil piggies.. Becca will make you look fabulous. I like to call ahead of time and ask if Becca is available. If I'm in a rush for a pedi and she can't fit me in (RARE OCCASION because Becca can ALWAYS squeeze you in somewhere) Go to her brother Henry! He is hilarious! And handles you with just as much care. Any time I pay extra for Becca to freehand something artsy over my nails, I tell her to do whatever she wants to do.. and Voila! It comes out GORGEOUS! I get compliments even when I'm WAY overdue. When I used to religiously get Acrylics, I had a hard time being available for fills every 2 weeks. Most nail salons will make you take them off if you've waited longer than 2-3weeks and start all over again with an expensive new set.. But not Becca. Extremely rude staff, poor quality job. The pedicure was fine $20 plus $5 for callus removal, paint job is sloppy. Manicure was $12 and absolutely awful- the paint was bubbling and peeling while I was still there. One finger was particularly bad so I asked her to fix it, which she tried to do with nail polish removal but this finger just obviously needed to be redone. When I expressed this to her she took the end of her tool and hit it down on my finger and scrapped right through the polish- just removed it. No need for the rude attitude. She continued to slip 6 thick coats on one after another which of course didn't dry and just slid off my nail. I said okay I have to go can I just have my money back and be done with this. I have come here on and off for the past five years. Becca is great, but is always booked with regulars. I have seen Cindy/Nhi and she is really good. A few weeks ago I went in for a gel manicure and got an older woman I hadn't seen before. She tried to up-sell me the polish powder for $8 more. I told her the gel polish was fine, She kept insisting (4 times!) saying that the gel would peel. I told her that I hadn't had trouble with peeling gel before. Then I noticed (too late) that before she polished my nails, she didn't spray/wipe my nails with alcohol nor did she use the gel primer. After about three days they did start to peel. Getting a manicure a few times a year is one of the only nice things I do for myself. I don't like feeling cheated or that someone did a half-assed job because I didn't opt for the more expensive service. I will probably never go back to this nail salon. read more
