We negotiated a price, which he increased due to the work involved and I agreed to the new price. I paid in cash, but he didn't finish the work. He returned to complete the project, but left after an hour, as he didn't finish a deadbolt installation and installed the second dead bolt and door handles, then left early because a tornado warning was issued that afternoon and evening. Kris said he'd return to finish the job Saturday or Sunday, but didn't. So, Kris walked off with my money and left without finishing the work he was paid to do. He offered to return the following weekend. I text: Will you be able to finish the work? No reply ... and the blinds, the deadbolt nor the door knobs are still sitting on my table. He took my cash, said he'd be back - and didn't. A hard lesson. Do not to trust this guy! He'll take your money and leave his work unfinished.

Talked to a guy named Ben about wiring a generator outlet for my home one day. He told me that he could come out the next day at 9am and if I give him the job they will cut the estimate in half. We discussed what I was looking for, which was a whole house generator hookup, not a six circuit transfer box and hookup. He said ok, I'll be there tomorrow at 9am. So, I told my wife that there wouldn't be power for about 4hrs. So, she planned to be gone running errands during that time. 9am came no show. At 10am I called his number and I immediately got a text from him saying I'll call you right back. Now, it's 3pm and no call, no tex, no nothing. I stated to him I needed to get this done today January 22, 2026. I could have hire someone else to do the job if I had known he was going to not show up and not call. It was very unprofessional and just disrespectful. Even if he couldn't because he had an emergency job or something, a text saying I couldn't make it would have made all of the difference. It would have given me the option to get someone out her to do it. I just believe if you give someone your word, you keep it. If you can't you own up to it. All a people have today are their reputations. The impression you give is the impression you are judged by. It's unfortunate.

I recently purchased a house in Springfield which was built in 1965. The wiring was ummm, creative…read moreto say the least as the fuse box was built into the rock fireplace wall, right next to the fireplace itself. It was a 100 amp coming off the street to a 60 watt fuse panel, so I needed a 200 amp upgrade, with the fuse box upgraded to a breaker panel and relocated to the far side of the house. A fan and new can lighting needed to be installed throughout. A new circuit also needed to be dropped into the kitchen and every single switch and all the plugs needed to be checked with the majority of them needing to be changed out. New smoke detectors had to be installed and tied together. Oh, and the original fuse box had a dead mouse wedged between the fuse panels just for good measure. Let's just say it was just a super bad scene overall. Fortunately I knew in advance of buying the house that this would need to be done, so I was aware going into it that it was going to cost some coin, but even I was surprised at how bad the electrical issues were. Levi Bonnivier came to the rescue without a minute to spare. He reviewed the situation, went through the costs and requirements of fixing the situation, and then spent the next four days straight rewiring the house and installing the lights. He explained what was required by code, what the inspection process with the city would be. The cost of doing all of this was considerable, but not nearly as significant as I thought it would be, and certainly less than the cost of replacing my house due to an electrical fire. While I was chasing down my painter and other contractors, begging, pleading and using the whip to get them to do what a I paid them for, Levi just kept trucking on, arriving each morning at eight and working through the day until he went home. He never blew off showing up. He never needed checking up on. He was professional, polite, and cleaned up after himself AND my painter who just left debris laying about. I am telling you this guy is a total rock star. Check out his Facebook page, as he documented the work on my house there and he has multiple other videos showing his work. I just can't recommend Levi enough. Best contractor I have ever had bar none!

It's either because he is not knowledgeable or plain lazy…read more Yesterday, the painter I hired explained to me that Levi cut the holes for my recess light halfway to the rafters which is why my lights are not sitting flush with the ceiling. I then went to my shed to show him some more work I needed done in the shed and one of the lights that Levi fixed in the shed is no longer working. The work was done mid April of 2023. It hasn't even been a year. He also was not successful in installing the Ring Camera/Transformer at my home. He had to come back several times to re-do the work that he said he completed in April after I arrived home in July. $21,000 I paid Mr. Bonnivier was not well spent.
