My experience with Dr. Smith and the entire surgical, clinical, and office staff far exceeded all of my expectations! As a plus-size woman, I expected only modest results, which I would have been happy with. But Dr. Smith completely proved me wrong! From my very first consultation, everything was explained thoroughly, and I felt informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. The pricing was very fair, especially considering I had an extended abdominoplasty, liposuction, and a fat transfer to my buttocks (BBL). Scheduling my surgery was simple, and before my procedure I had another appointment where every detail was reviewed, including what to expect during recovery and everything I needed to do beforehand. I was especially impressed by how proactive the team was. They arranged my cardiac clearance, blood work, started me on antibiotics, and made sure I had all of my medications before surgery, which made the entire experience much less stressful. My surgical package also included an overnight nurse, my compression garment (faja), and all follow-up appointments, which added tremendous value. The on-site surgical center is beautiful, modern, and state of the art. When I saw my results on the very first day after surgery, I was absolutely stunned. Even while wearing my compression garment, my lower hanging belly was completely gone. The emotions and joy I felt are impossible to put into words. During the first two weeks of recovery, I had several follow-up appointments, and every member of the staff was caring, patient, and accommodating. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I could email or call, and Natasja always responded quickly with reassurance and support. We had one small scheduling mix-up, but the staff resolved it immediately and made the situation completely stress-free. I also had lymphatic massages with Lindsey, and she was absolutely amazing. After my first cosmetic surgery I was so happy with the Dr. Smith I have had multiply surgeries going foreword. I did a rhino plasty along with a lip lift that turned out amazing, then more recently had Vaser Liposuction and following that a face lift. I had to go in for multiple procedures, lymphatic massages, which they did take care of because they knew they had made a mistake. After eight months I went back in like I said I was not happy and I was told to wait a few weeks and the doctor would look at the pictures that were just taken of me and get back to me well after a few months and going in twice, the doctor said $2500 and we can take care of what you're not happy with. I'm like wow how unprofessional I paid you a lot of money for the work to be done and now you wanna charge me $2500 to fix what you did wrong, I would definitely not recommend Dr. Smith for any procedures. I had a breast augmentation done here in June 2025. It was my second BA; I was going from over the muscle to under the muscle. The results themselves look great. I think they look very natural and recovery was easy. The reasons for the 3 star review is because I do not like my scarring. My first BA the scarring was minima and in a straight small line. This scarring has like circles at the end and it looks like my stitches pokes out from my skin. I spent 2 months in Las Vegas (traveling from Idaho) under the care of Dr. Lane Smith for a potential reconstructive facial surgery. Dr. Smiths's initial requirements following his consultation was to undergo 8 weeks of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments (HBOT) in order to clear any possible infection that may be lingering due to my situation. My statements about Lane Smith's persona are my opinion, but events stated in this review are fact. EDIT: The office mgr responded to this review within seconds of leaving it. This guy is obsessed with his image, and it shows. Learn to accept criticism and do better. Females, this man is demeaning and disrespectful. If you read no further, that is all you need to know. Find a different surgeon. I was a patient in 2014 and 2015. I have previously left a review of my bad experience with Lane Smith, which was met with a snarky response by the office manager threatening to upload before and after photos - nude photos! - to Yelp. I immediately deleted the review because that is a disgusting threat from a medical provider. I don't even have social media or post my own photos let alone having a surgeon threatening posting them. I happened across his page again, and I still feel that my experience needs to be heard. I had a BBL done by Lane Smith in 2015. I was told I needed to gain 15 lbs in order to complete the procedure. This should have been the first red flag. Fast forward to after the surgery, I was in extreme pain and had trouble breathing. He ordered a chest x-ray to rule out pulmonary embolism. I wish he would have further investigated -- I ended up with heart failure, and I could have died on his operating room table. However, that isn't the point of this review. At my follow up appointment for the BBL, I told Lane Smith that I was unhappy with the results as I felt my stomach looked a bit deformed. He responded to me that I had body dysmorphia. I insulted his work, so he was quick to insult me. After leaving that appointment, I knew I would never go back to this guy for anything, even if I had already paid $20k and I wasn't happy with the results. 10 years later, I have noticed other issues that arose from my surgeries with this guy. I went to SPS for a consult, which the $100 fee goes toward your procedure, lots of surgeons call it "their time" and don't deduct if you do move forward. I chose Dr. Lane Smith for a breast augmentation and lift in August 2024. I believed I had done the proper research, and selected a skilled professional who would handle my case with compassion, care, and respect for his patients. In the beginning, Dr. Smith and his team were responsive, supportive, and clear in their communication --up until the moment I paid. From the day of surgery onward, the experience became completely disorganized and stressful. Communication between the physician, staff, and patients was severely lacking, which led to confusion and delays, especially when it came to mandatory post-op appointments. I voiced concerns about my results early on, but Dr. Smith and his team were dismissive and offered little explanation or reassurance. I showed up to appointments only to wait for hours, or be rescheduled weeks later with no notice, because he got held up in a pervious operation. My implants were clearly out of place, my chest was filled with fluids, and yet I was repeatedly told to "just wait another month" for them to settle. After three months, I took the time to meet with Dr. Smith again to discuss my results. It was clear and evident they did not sit correctly. At that point, he told me he couldn't have predicted the elasticity of my skin and that I would now need to pay another $8,000 for a lift revision surgery. What was most upsetting wasn't just the cost--it was the complete lack of care, during my consultation I was very clear about what I wanted, and asked him to tell me exactly what needs to be done to achieve those results, and that's what I paid for. It wasn't just a minor mishap, my breast augmentation looked terrible. Honestly. No one ever contacted me afterward to check on how I was doing, what I had decided, or how I was feeling. Dr Lane Smith performed a breast augmentation on me around Sept/Oct 2019. 4 years later and they're still good. No health issues. It is harder to do upper body workouts after surgery though. Staff was friendly, although I do remember they were ok with emailing and would receive a response few days later at most. I did not hire anyone, my mother helped me & we stayed at a hotel on the strip. There are a few minor things I don't like, but most surgeries are like that. (Hence the 4/5 stars) I had some keloid scars around my incision that can be remedied with steroid injections. (Didn't know what to do at first & reception never let me know what to do or follow up). How I heard about this doctor: I was referred to him by numerous industry friends from modeling & nightlife. I would like to say 10 girls I personally knew went to this doctor and had good results. I have a friend who also went to Lane Smith for bbl, lipo, fillers etc & boy does she look great. Her whole closet was only designer and she invested heavily into her body. The teardrop implants were used and put in crooked and you used two different sizes and it's obvious. The implants did not stay in place. You refused to fix his surgery that has caused him a lot of pain- but avoiding his calls for a year. You can play dumb, that's fine. But this is my experience. I selected the hyperbaric oxygen therapy offered by the Smith Plastic Surgery Center after visiting several others in Las Vegas. I wanted a center that had medical supervision as several others did not. I needed multiple preop & postop treatments due to impending oral surgery & a history of radiation therapy. I selected the Smith Center as they had a hard-shell chamber permitting two atmospheres of pressure as well as 100% oxygen. Some local centers offered only soft chambers & no oxygen which would not be adequate for the prescribed treatment. The technology was up to date & the chamber was spotless. I had my surgery done June 2024. I got capsular contracture to my right breast 3 weeks after my surgery. The follow up care was great in the beginning. But then they kept on having to reschedule me. I'm supposed to get ultrasound treatments to my right breast every week to help soften the capsule and hopefully save my right breast. Their ultrasound machine was broken for about two to three weeks but they offered no other alternatives. They had to reschedule my 3 month follow up appt on 9/13. I wasn't able to get an ultrasound treatment until 9/26. I was supposed to have an ultrasound appt today but then they had to reschedule me AGAIN until next week. I'm supposed to finally have my 3 month appt with Dr Smith tomorrow but that's an on call appt. Getting capsular contracture is already a very frustrating experience. I feel like my follow up has been poor and the constant rescheduling feels like I'm not getting the adequate care and attention I need. I'm really trying to prevent doing this surgery again.
