Unfortunately, the "friendly" customer service people were too busy to even bother taking an interest in unlocking the door for the bathroom. I'm sorry that you have homeless people or some other garbage happening in your store that you feel you can't trust a normal customer like me to leave the restroom the way I found it. Honestly though, Smith's really has gone downhill as a chain in the last few years. Not really impressed by them anymore. Went there today to pick up a few things. The lady with purple hair, who I think is a manager, was checking. Good lord, she was in NO hurry whatsoever! Almost all the lanes were open, and long. Hers was NOT moving. We soon figured out why. She was scanning everything in slo-mo checking her texts, leaving the line to go 'get' stuff. Last Wednesday, I place a phone order for two full size sheet cakes for pick up on Saturday April 6, White cake. The bakery manager Kelly took the order. I asked her if I could bring edible images to be put on both cakes , she said yes. On Friday 4/05, I brought the images to the store and gave them to the decorator. On Saturday, I received a call saying they still had not received white cake from the warehouse and they had been waiting for them all week. They could've told me that on Wednesday when I placed the order but they never mentioned they didn't have white cake, I would've place an order somewhere else. She told me they had chocolate or marble , so, since I needed the cakes for that afternoon I didn't really have a choice because no other bakery could fulfill the order on such short notice. When I picked up the cake the store manager Tammy was rude and unprofessional. Once I got the cakes home, the images started to buckle and the cakes looked horrible. I returned on Tuesday and spoke with Shawn and he says to me " how about you don't order cakes from us because there's always an issue with you" . My response, that if something isn't right I'm going to say something. Kelly does not know how to decorate. She is never pleasant. They give you cakes with icing stuck to the side of the box or stale cake. I'm not going to accept that. You're right Shawn, I'll go somewhere else!! Tinsha is a rude cashier. Steer clear when she has her friends being rung up. They will intentionally take their time and try to override the system multiple times to get discounts from what it seemed to me. As a cashier, you should be able to see what was charged and what amount is left over. She couldn't even tell what amount needed to be tendered from the EBT, forcing the system to discount and override four times. And also in the mean time discuss their favorite way and decide last minute to get swishers. Maybe she shouldn't be smoking because she complained about the $5 that EBT didn't accept. Tinsha had to leave the cashier four times, maybe she doesn't know how to really do her job and should be somewhere that doesn't require so much brain power. She refused to ring us up so we had a manager step in and take action quick. She rang our cart up so quick by the time i got to the register it was done. When we started to walk out, we saw that the customer before us and the cashier Tinsha standing around her car parked in the handicap (which is very suiting seeing she cant even pay for her cart correctly). Obviously they're friends if she went straight to her car to talk to her. They started to call me racial slurs that were not appropriate, because im not hispanic. They cant even be racist correctly, how sad. Then they yell out, your lucky i don't shoot you. Wow, so this is how your employees react when they have their ignorant friends around. I have been a Krogers customer since 1978 and I have always excellent customer service UNTIL today I will never shop at this Smith's again. I ordered online groceries I didn't receive two items which didn't total up to $4.00, I called to see how I could receive and paid for my interaction with Karl Karla instead of being suspected of having received these items the bottom line Karla made statements that out of line. I related this incident to Bridget (store manager), Karla indicated to me to shop somewhere else. I've been a loyal customer and I'll continue to shop at Smith's but not at this Smith's. Ran in at 6:30am because I forget to get a tablecloth to decorate for my daughter's birthday. I was also stressing because Party City didn't open until 8:30a and I still needed to get balloons. Imagine my surprise when I saw that they had a balloon center. Awesome! The nice lady blew up 10 latex balloons at $1 each and a unicorn balloon for $3.49. She cracked a joke about never running out of helium. Apparently that's a big problem with Party City. My balloon bouquet looked great. I'll be using them when I need balloons from now on. read more

I'm standing here in the Guest Services line & it hasn't moved in 20 minutes! There are 2 people ahead of me & the couple that are currently being waited on for the past 20 minutes. I understand that the couple being waited on my have some difficult issues or something that is keeping the lady busy, but you would think that she would call her manager or something to come and assist her, to take care of other people in the line. They used to be really good. We have had such terrible experiences lately, we have decided to shop elsewhere. Most items are not able to be substituted and are out of stock. The ones in stock, half our order is missing when we come home and unpack the groceries. The ClicKList manager, Traniece, was so condescending and rude during our last interaction, I question how she still has a job after speaking to customers the way she spoke to my husband. We have spoken to the regional manager and was assured things would get better. It did for two visits and then turned sour again. It's a shame we need to take our business ($200 weekly) elsewhere because they used to be really good. We endured months of missing items, going back to the store several times, and speaking with the ClickList manager who made tons of empty promises before we decided to take our business to another grocery store where we feel more valued. read more

As my go to store I was very disappointed with my visit today. I wanted to pick up sushi but the sushi tray I wanted all had the spicy sauce on it. I kindly asked if they could make one without the sauce but was told no. The 2 men making the sushi replied the sauce isn't very spicy. I replied that I just had surgery and have a strict diet to follow one of which is no sauces or spice. Still I was told they can't make it. As a former managers for another retail chain, customer service was a big deal. We'd bend over backwards to satisfy the customer as much as we could. I had a pick up order schedule for today between 1-2pm and associate calls to tell me the order will not be ready and to come back around 3pm . So I did, I came to see that more than half of my order was not filled and instead of calling to tell me that I had to call the number given and had to ask instead of the associate loading the pick up ordering informing me of what was not included . The associate hands a list to me and I'm assuming it's a receipt, no it was a list of items not filled from my list . The misinformation and the fact that I had to come an hour after my scheduled time for pick up is all in all a disappointment. Please work on your communication to customers and your interactions while picking up items ordered. The customer service is a joke. I use the ClickList service where you go online and fill a cart with the things you want then schedule a time to pick it up. I am so happy this service is available. Grant is the name of the representative that brings the groceries to your car. This young man exemplifies customer service. His kind,patient, and genuine disposition is priceless! WORST GROCERY STORE I'VE EVER BEEN TO! I just moved down the street on Aliante from Centennial Hills. I was a regular shopper at the new Smith's off of Sky Point. LOVE THAT STORE... My husband and I went together to check out our new Smiths. The first thing we noticed was the produce look old and dug through. As we walked towards the deli section we started to notice flys so we skipped grabbing anything from the deli. We headed to the seafood area next to the deli, it smelled. WE left. I decided today to run to the market sense it's is just down the street and give it a second chance. The deli clerk was very nice. I took a chance and got some deli meats. Next to the deli was a cold case that had some tilapia on sale so I grabbed that also. While I was in the checkout line I started to smell something odd. When I was putting my food on the conveyor belt I couldn't help but notice the smell got stronger. I began to try to smell the deli meat that I purchased and I wasn't sure if it was coming from that or not. I went ahead and purchased all the food. I pulled in my driveway and called my son to come out and help me carry in the groceries. The moment he opened the car door he asked me what the horrible smell was. We brought the groceries in the house and noticed the smell was coming from the deli meats that I bought,,, not only that,,, when I opened up the tilapia that was on sale The smell was so awful it stunk up my whole house. I threw away almost everything I bought from the store. $90 in the trash. I can not risk my family getting ill. Food integrity and quality is something this store is lacking!! I love this Smith's, and I have never even been inside! There is a Smith's just a couple minutes away from my house, but as a mom of two... sometimes I drive out here just for their ClickList service! With ClickList, you can order your groceries online, and then pick them up curbside! The ClickList parking lot is behind the store (there are signs directing you there). Once you park, you call the number posted in front of your parking lot and let the Smith's employee know what parking space you are in. They used to ask me if I had any children, and then bring a juice to the car. But lately they haven't done this. Oh well - but it was a nice touch. It usually takes about 10 minutes for them to come out with the groceries. Make sure your trunk is clear, because they will unload it for you. I love this because I don't have to step foot in the store. And this is fantastic when you have two young ones with you! The staff is always very nice. This service is $4.95, but worth every penny! Plus, if you have their rewards program, there are coupons just for ClickList orders that pay off the fee. I've seen $2-$3 coupons on every day items (toilet paper, milk), so it's definitely worth it. I am especially impressed with the deli service here! I like my deli thinly cut, and every time I request this, it is done no problem. Plus they layer the deli with wax paper so it doesn't stick together. Not all places do this surprisingly! Also, I receive personalized coupons in the mail every so often, so that's a plus. And since I shop here so often, I always have fuel rewards. Loyal Smith's shopper right here! read more

I have been shopping at this location on a regular basis. The staff are consistently very friendly and some are super eager to help you save even more money giving shoppers friendly couponing/advertisement tips. I have on several occasions received extra coupons in store from a variety of managers, to point out employees that exemplify friendly customer service or they see my daughter in the cart and say "you look like you could use some extra freebies", and depending on the product - won't refuse. Produce for whatever reason seems to be better at this location compared to others in the north part of town. I tend to shop during the less crowded hours (daytime, and during the weekday) as the staff tend to be more relaxed and eager to help you out. If coming during the crowded times (weekends/after 5pm), you feel the tension from the employees as they rush to meet everyone's needs. Can't ding them on that - especially when it's busy, just a fact of what happens when you have more people to deal with, happens everywhere. Something you have to watch out for. If using your own bags, you have to watch and sometimes remind employees regarding your bag points, or they can forget to include them before you swipe your credit card. It's happened quite a few times to me, but they do say next time you come in, ask the cashier to give you the bag points. And cashiers will honor that! Something I wish Kroger/Smith's would do would be to encourage and offer price matching services as Von's and Walmart will do. It's not a deal breaker for me to not shop there, but would be nice especially when noticing can't beat prices from competitors for the same products. read more

Every time I come here which is at least twice a week lol it's great staff alway friendly. Today I was specifically looking for vanilla almond breeze milk , the rack was completely empty but I asked this young boy named Cody if he could come here please. He was working in the last frozen isle. Now he could've called for someone to check this but yet he followed me like I asked and I told him my son had Autism and he only drinks almond breeze vanilla almond milk. Not this so Silk brand. I pointed to the back of the empty rack and said umm I see some boxed up almond breeze, is there anyway you can check one of the boxes for me please. I just need one vanilla please please. He nicely said yes sure let me see , he literally went in the back into the freezer and moved 4 boxes down and found the vanilla almond breeze for meee!!! I was overjoyed because he really went out his way to check instead of saying "whatever we have out is all that we have ". But nope he went above and beyond. I order pick up for convenience. The ladies that usually bring out my order always have all my items in the trunk. The last 2 times I've had a younger guy give me my order, he's very pleasant. I just don't understand why he never puts all my items in the trunk. I wasted almost $9 on a pack of gatorades that he did not put in my trunk the last time it was a 12 pack and I had to walk in the store, after I had already gotten home to grab my missing item. Probably won't use this service again, rather smaller orders, but if it's under $35 you're charged a $4.95 fee. No problem. I would just like the same consistency. After ordering online went the next day to pick up order at scheduled time and order delivery guy said they were backed up and order was not ready to come back the next day. When I arrived the next day they said order had been picked up already. I explained what happened the day before and they said they probably gave order to wrong person! That it had been happening all morning!! She said she would have manager process refund and give extra credit for next order. This happened Sept. 14 and refund has not been credited. Walking by the deli, I was able to get a sushi sample, (which I have never seen at my store in old henderson) before the sample man was distracted by another employee, talking about another employee crying because she has to do her job. Yay! I'm a fan. Your friendly, neighborhood grocer (and Spider-Man) seems to have become a lost art -- at least in the areas I have lived in. Emphasis now seems like lie in the get in, get out as quickly as possible. Nothing is horribly wrong with that, and in fact, it seems to be quite necessary in our social climate. Yet if that is the only mentality, then people start not to care about what they're getting, where it came from, or what it's made of. Instead, create an environment revolving around courtesy, cleanliness, and quality where even people in a rush will appreciate it. This Smith's gives a shot at that. From the customer service desk to the meat monger...from the cashier to the manager...and even the bagger are all friendly folk. Service with a smile is an awesome thing. Just getting my Smith's card was already an amiable experience. Also one time, I grabbed a wrong item, but I wasn't about to make a fuss about it. The cashier, who I think was also a manager (big fan of those who lead by example), insisted that it would be no trouble at all and sent the bagger to make the exchange. Now that's the kind of customer satisfaction that can brighten anyone's day. The whole store is clean, well laid-out, well stocked, and organized. The prices are nothing special -- neither high nor low. Their selection of quality items is definitely above the average grocery. Even the store's own brand (Kroger) is pretty decent; for example, the buffalo sauce is quite tastey, and if you read the ingredients, better than most others out there too. Also, they have a little gambling area for those interested. I'm really glad that out of all the possibilities, this grocery is my neighborhood option. read more
