He gave me the choice of removing the armrest and bringing it in on a Saturday morning or having them remove it. The latter would cost more (of course). Anyway, after doing some research, I removed it on my own and brought it to the shop on a Saturday morning (by the way, it opens at 8:30 on Saturdays). I was a devoted Classic Upholstery customer for years for personal use and my Clients. Their work…read morewas consistent, timely, and professional. Unfortunately, the last two 'projects' left me feeling totally screwed. The second to last occurred in late 2010 when I had two sofa's two wing back chairs, and dining room chairs and numerous toss pillows re-upholstered. The furniture was delivered at night and went from there van to the moving van headed to California. The furniture 'looked' decent and at that time did not realize what had occurred. When I returned to Philadelphia early Spring 2011 and was in Harry's shop I noticed one of my original down toss pillows covered in green damask. What had occurred was they kept my down toss pillows and replaced with smaller, fake down toss pillows. The second project occurred in 2012 when I had a E.J. Victor sofa, two E.J. Victor chairs and a Baked wing back chair and two ottomans re-upholstered. I noticed once I sat in one of the chairs that the down seat cushion had been replaced with a hard foam seat. A chair that was originally extremely comfortable was no longer. I also noticed the lose back cushions to the sofa are now hard as rocks, the same for the other E. J. Victor chairs lose back cushions, originally down, now hard as rocks. They ruined the furniture! Today, as I checked the sofa in California that once has a down seat cushion had also been replaced with a foam cushion. I inherited this piece of furniture form my god-mother's estate which she purchased circa 1950. I feel totally robbed buy Classic Upholstery. I gave them thousands and thousands of dollars in services and they repay by switching our high quality material for junk. Should you use them, watch them like a hawk! I was looking to have my wheels repaired and powder coated black. I found New Age Powder Coating…read morelocated just off Delsea Drive which was very convenient for me. I left my car so they could take off the wheels, remove the tires, repair some bad scratches, remount and balance. They said it would probably take 3 days, but asked for 5 just in case. The price was reasonable, and the matt black color option matched the other black parts from the factory. I believe the color was called "black Jack" and has 20% gloss if anyone is interested. They finished the car in 2 days. They kept me updated on the progress through text messages and phone calls, and they replaced the factory center badges with after market badges I left with them. It was a great experience and the wheels look fantastic. I have had lots of compliments.
