My purchase of a vaporizer was made September 7th 2018.
It simply stopped working on September 22nd 2018 (this was during
the recent power outage in Ottawa following 2 tornado's).
All to most establishments in the West end of Ottawa were shut down with no power. To even consider driving over to Smoke Fx with the traffic lights not working, for a refund, seemed silly. We definitely had "other" issues to deal with at that time.
My husband and I went in promptly, yesterday, Monday September 24th and were REFUSED an exchange or refund, as it was over the 2 week return policy, by what? A couple of days?!
This not being the only reason we were refused a refund or exchange. Apparently, it was on the "clearance table" when we purchased it. So Absolutely no refunds or exchanges. This table is unmarked as clearance. It appears identical to the other table in the room. Same coloured stickers with prices. And furthermore, we were told at the time of purchase to "keep the receipt if anything goes wrong".
But hey...I'll receive 20% of my next purchase item! They have lost me, my husband, and our friends as customers. Greedy owner, and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Smoke FX: Hi Sharon, I am not certain of the exact details regarding this return, however you can give me a call at 613-851-3971 to discuss it further. The Clearance table has substantially price reduced products- 60% or more on some items and our staff should have explained that due to the huge discounts - the items are final sale. However, please call me to go over the details. Thanks.Laura
Sharon Hogan:
No need for me to call. You were called on the day we tried to return the defective item, as the 2 workers there were not sure what to do. They said they would call Laura, after about 3 minutes, It was your orders to refuse an exchange or refund. Doesn't quite matter how much the item is discounted, I am still out of pocket $60.00 plus tax. And the guys at the cash register did NOT say final sale, but rather to keep the receipt when I purchased it. These are the details. read more
