Interesting menu with some nice seafood choices. I had the mango shrimp tacos which were very good, and my wife enjoyed the clam chowder also very good. We also had mahi served at the table which was very good. We tried the lobster stuffed avocado appetizer, but were disappointed with this especially after the server raved about it. Nice presentation, but it was so overly spicy that we didn't even finish it. Note to server...when you rave about a dish, you might also warn your customers that it's fiery hot So, overall good experience, but one star deducted for the raving server. read more

I just love the laidback atmosphere, while still being at a nicer place with a full bar and plenty of food to choose from. I've been going for 10 years and I've never had a bad meal -- from sushi to naps to burgers or seafood, it's all great! Great food and beverages! We went for brunch on Sunday and had a good experience overall. The food is delicious and worth the prices we paid! The few draw backs were that the billionaires bacon was a tad burnt, but the less crispy pieces had great flavor and that they didn't have a all the ingredients needed for their signature drinks. For example, they could not make the buzz brew and then we ordered the "smoking gun" but they could not light the rosemary because it was too dried out. The lack of smoke in the drink changed the flavor and made it really sweet, also when you order a smoking cocktail you hope for the flair. Had a great dinner there and our server, Jonathan (receipt said Jonathan, but I think he goes by John), was also wonderful. We had the spicy tuna crispy rice, mango shrimp tacos, scratch chowder, dragon roll and hot honey roll. Almost too many options to pick from. Everything was delicious. This place is great . It's low key but rather eloquent inside. There's a nice ambience and it's a spot you can dine solo, take your significant other , or even a friends night out! Update from most recent visit. Aside from service, which was pretty good, the food was not impressive. Cali Club fried chicken was a good. Hamburger came out raw and had to be sent back. Carne Asada Tacos - not good Mango Shrimp Tacos - Sauce is just nasty. Order without sauce if possible. The sushi on the other hand was better than last time and priced fairly to local competition. Vegas roll was good and the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was a favorite. A bit of a surprise was the Dragon, which at EVERY sushi restaurant is an eel roll, but here its eel sauce. They actually have no rolls with eel, which is a favorite of the Mrs. Would I drive all the way to Chandler for sushi, probably not. If the area again, would consider stopping in. read more

I do enjoy the food & atmosphere but sometimes the service can be hit or miss & that can set the tone for the experience. On this last trip, we were quickly seated which was nice as there were a lot of people there, but clearly we came during the transition as it took somewhere between 5-10 mins before anyone greeted us. Understandable due to the crowd, but they quickly cleared out and the place was empty, and here we were just looking at one another. THat's when I realized, we may be just an afterthought for the rest of the night. Had the kickin shrimp to start. Things went somewhat smoothly but there was an error with our food order as we requested the mango tacos but instead, the mango tango sushi showed up. That was OK as we ate that while waiting for the taco dish to arrive. The mango tango tacos were good however, the cilantro rice was very odd. I think the cream used just didnt sit well and it wasn't served very hot. I had the dragon roll which was good along with the side of mac & cheese. The mac & cheese is made in-house but it definitely lacked salt, pepper. It needed some seasoning to really give it some pop. The other item we ordered was the noodle bowl but also similar to a few other things, it was lacking a good flavor profile. Stopped in to Smokin Fins for an early dinner since it's been quite some time since our last visit. We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly host followed by a nice waiter. The restaurant is quite spacious although it is a bit dark considering how many windows surrounded our booth seat. We're told the menu may have changed a bit since our last visit which we think was right. We thought there was a little more sushi on the menu but that's ok too. We got a beer and Lavender Haze and opted to skip appetizers and instead went straight to ordering dinner. The Fins Platter shrimp was tasty but he wasn't a fan of the dips. Remember to eat the cod right away next time as it might have gotten a little soggy. Not true coleslaw fans so no comments. The cedar planked salmon was tasty although a little more done than I prefer. The asparagus and mashed potato were good. Service was fast and our orders were accurate. Glad we finished our meals when we did as we were perfectly content and not overly stuffed. It just started to get crowded as we left. We had a party of Nine and were seated promptly at our denoted reservation time. Our Waitress, Gillian did an amazing job of greeting us, explaining specials while making a couple of "right on" suggestions. Our food came out with nice presentation and proper temperatures and great flavors. A couple of us had the special; Elote(street corn)with cilantro rice over Grilled Halibut. It was delicious! Went for lunch on a Friday. The ambiance was great. They have a decent sized menu. We started with edamame which was a large portion and really tasty. We both had the cedar plank salmon. It was interesting because it had bbq sauce on it. I was not a fan of the bbq sauce so I removed it with my fork. Once I removed it, and added a little salt, I really liked the salmon. I swapped the potatoes for broccoli which I asked to be extra well done. They came out al dente but fixed it when I brought it up. The asparagus was the star of the plate. I loved it and I was sad there wasn't more. Next time I will swap out side just for extra asparagus. It's a place I would go back to for sure. Our server was Troy and he was great. I've been coming here several times a year since they opened several years ago. Tonight I brought my wife and mother in for the Prime Rib Wednesday special. Our service was very good overall. The food was not bad, but it's changed. We started with our favorite appetizer, which is the brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Tonight the taste was different, and part of it was because they left out the two most expensive ingredients, the blue cheese and the bacon. The other taste that was off is that the balsamic reduction was much sweeter than normal. I did find one tiny piece of bacon at the bottom when I was scraping out the last few bites. The flavor of the prime rib was good, but it was over cooked. My mom and I both ordered medium rare, and mine was medium, and my mother's was almost medium well. We both ordered the 14oz cut, and I know that I got a 16+ oz cut. I think this was due to the issues with the appetizer, which I did appreciate. The meal came with asparagus which they placed on top of the mashed potatoes, and then squirted a sweet teriyaki sauce all over it. Who wants sweet mashed potatoes, or asparagus for that matter? The other issue I had was the beef au jus tasted like it came from a powder. I've had the au jus here many times with the prime sandwich, and this wasn't the same at all. Again there was a subtle sweet taste in it. In my several years of coming here I'd say that the service was excellent 80% of the time, and the food was excellent 90% of the time, so overall they're still one of the best places I visit. I saw that they're doing all you can eat crab on Monday and Tuesday, so we'll be back again soon. read more

Included small dried cranberries, the perfect amount of mayo, and sweet shredded Fuji Apples. Too bad they only give you about two fork fulls. The Bad: They claim their Fish & Chips is famous, so I was expecting something "special". The Cod was moist but covered with a barely seasoned, thin batter coating. Sorry, it was not unique or special. Drink: 20 oz Stella Artois ($7) Service: I sat at the Bar. I received my drink fast, but he didn't check on me again until I was finishing my meal. It was 2:30 in the afternoon, on a Monday, with only 4 other people in the Bar. So, it was not busy. Ambiance: Nice place, clean, with dark trim and booths. Overall: My meal was nothing special--in fact, it's pretty forgettable. Maybe other dishes are better, but a place that specializes in seafood should hit all the marks. Really delicious food and friendly service. The lobster stuffed deep fried avocado and kicken shrimp were very tasty to start off with. Two of us had the Fin's platter with fried cod, coconut shrimp and breaded shrimp with amazing coleslaw and French fries. Just enough batter, crisp and fresh tasting. The plank salmon was given two thumbs up along with poke bowl. Only negative was the darkness of the place. We had to use our phone lights to read the menu. I can tell you that we both had empty water cups & empty beer/sangria cups for way too long. It took awhile to get our first & second round of drinks. Had he been more on top of things he would have gotten another round out of us. The drinks were good, and we were there awhile. We ordered the calamari. It was okay until I got a piece overcooked and it was like trying to chew rubber. I was done with it after that. Hubby ordered the Vampire tacos. I ordered the lobster Mac & cheese. Hubby liked his tacos, and I liked the Mac & cheese. It just took a long time to get our meals. I was surprised my Mac & cheese wasn't hot for as long as it took to get it. We were there for over & hour & it doesn't take us long to eat. The bill was $100.15 before the tip. Way too pricey for what we got, and how long it took to get it.
