Sadly, my assumption that the customer service and professionalism I experienced with Cuccia Accounting would be comparable was a mistake on my part. Knowing we had to file an extension was understood. However, what my husband and I can't understand is the office's inability to provide an estimated timeline for when our taxes would be reviewed. After calling at the end of April to confirm if all appropriate tax documents were received I was informed it would be May until any customer's paperwork who filed an extension would be reviewed. Now at the beginning of May, I called again to learn the same things. First, had all the appropriated documents been reviewed, and second, was there an estimated time of review and or completion? I was informed again that due to the fact, we needed to file an extension, our paperwork is yet to be reviewed and then, it would be reviewed on a first-in basis. I was also informed that if Mr. Stropes would need to take the time to only review the documents, he then might as well complete them, which is why those answering calls would not be able to provide an estimated time of review or completion. From what I am left to understand, Mr. Stropes is too busy to speak to clients personally, and because we needed to file an extension, we were left to wait an undetermined period for our papers to be even reviewed and or filed due to extensions being valid until October. In all fairness, I was not left to believe we would need to wait until October, however, there was still no adequate ability to provide any timeline at all. Due to the ambiguity of completion of our taxes, and the inability to learn helpful facts, I have realized that the office of Stropes Accounting is nothing like its predecessor Cuccia Accounting. My experience with Cuccia Accounting was all but friendly, informative, helpful, efficient, and professional. I am unable to say the same for Stropes Accounting. Perhaps Mr. Stropes is efficient in processing past/current clients, however, as a new client, my experience has not been any of this. The inability to communicate a timeline of any sort is not acceptable in my professional role, and if I told a client that I could not do so, I would be looking to update my resume and look for a new job. I caution those who are a new customer of Stropes Accounting to use the services of this office based on this experience. For those who disagree with my review, I am happy that your experience has been better than mine. We have requested our paperwork to be returned to us so we may find an office that can provide an overall comprehensive customer experience.
