Ahhhhh such horrible memories of snake pit!! Pre season soccer training is dreaded because of hot sweaty visits to the sandy hills of snake pit. Snake pit is a public sand hill running track across the road from the beach in Largs, and it is very frequently used by army, police, sports teams and fitness fanatics for training. We usually do 5 laps of the course which goes up and down, left and right winding through bushes etc on a man made soft sand path. On weekends its very busy, especially with groups. There is plenty of parking on the street and also a large sand hill in the middle, separate, for sprints etc. read more
