Extreme heat in the area and our AC is not functioning properly - it is over 80 degrees and not cooling. Nikki answers the phone and says they are swamped, but will try to get to us later that day. In the afternoon, Ben shows up, gets up on the roof to look at the unit, tells us it is frozen up and low on coolant. He unfreezes it, adds the coolant, and it is starting to bring the temp down straight away. Second time using Knobel in a month, one personal and one business, and could not be any happier with either visit. Our review of Select Abbey is not based on the service at the store. We ordered a pretty expensive…read moreflooring for the kitchen and baths. But its the contractors that they have that are very poor and the one we had had never installed this expensive flooring before. But we thought that he would be able to install this particular flooring. He was poor in measurements, and cutting of this flooring. He had two apprentices, who were young, and weren't experienced enough to cut this flooring. There was substantial waste from wrong measurements. Nothing was offered to make up the wasted tiles. To make a long story short, tiles were cut way off, so when baseboards were installed, sometimes a 3/4 to 7/8's gap was visable way past into the kitchen, past the baseboards. But, the installer made sure he got paid, immediately... We have one more bath to finish, and unfortunately, it will not be with Abbey Carpets and tile. We will seek another installer, even if it means finding and paying for an out of town contractor.
