We went to The Snitterfield Arms for a family meal and had a wonderful time. The staff were exceptionally helpful and extremely knowledgeable especially when I was asking if certain dishes contained gluten. The waitress ensured she checked with the chef and when I asked if the chips were cooked in the same fryer as the onion rings, she was quick to mention that they had separate fryers.
The food itself was lovely. I had the dressed crab to start which was delicious and my partner had the black pudding and poached egg starter which he said was like breakfast in a bowl! I hope he's not getting any ideas of breakfasts he wants at home! Next up was the main and I had a steak and himself had the steak and ale pie with mash and vegetables. Himself told me the pie was delicious and he had a generous helping of vegetables. The steak was nice but a little overdone for my taste, I asked for rare and it was more like medium. That being said we were a reasonably large table and the chef did a wonderful job of getting all the meals out on time.
Overall, a really nice occasion made all the better from the wonderful and friendly service we received from The Snitterfield Arms. If you are in the area, worth popping in for a pint, some lunch or some dinner. read more
