I was hired as the New Shop Welder at the Brigham City shop, a position that they could not fill for 8 plus months, i found out just after my second day their that they had a management issue like most companies do, This individual is a Micro Manager King!! but doesn't say anything to you but to other people and then you find out later!! After I took the OSHA 10 course I assumed that all safety issues would be non existent, but after seeing that lack of safety in the mechanic shop and not one safety meeting I knew that something was off. Multiple times other coworkers would come into my Weld Bay without any of the required PPE's!! After telling these concerns to my supervisor he said " oh you wanna play it like that huh....okay!" Four days later i was fired! Be careful going to this company , if they see you as a threat or a problem you will not be working for them long.

During that time they had placed construction signs along the roadway. The signs were not secure and as a result the wind blew a sign apart and into my truck causing damage. I called and spoke with Nicole and she requested a statement and repair estimates. I initially got the feeling that I would be taken care of. I complied with her requests and in return I received a letter from the company's attorney informing me that they deemed my claims to be false and would not be taking care of the damages that I claimed were caused by them. I have pictures and a witness to validate my claims. I served this state and county for ten years in the Utah National Guard and I would not compromise my integrity with a false claim. I plan to place this experience on as many review forums as I can and will be writing a letter to the Salt Lake Public Works office, and the offices of all neighboring cities to make sure that their poor business practices are known by the people who would hire them.

I hired Sias W. Parsons IV, Derek Parker, and Ryan Riggs from Big Yeti Builders LLC in Ogden, Utah,…read moreto demolish an existing deck, construct a new deck, and install a Renaissance Classico cover over a portion of it. The cover has leaked since shortly after installation, causing water to pool on the deck and creating a slipping hazard from ice buildup. I first contacted the company for warranty support after the initial leak in the fall of 2025. Derek Parker came out and retaped the seams on the awning, stating that this was the repair method recommended by the manufacturer, Renaissance. After the first snow in early December and then thaw, the awning began leaking severely. On December 4, 2025, I reached out again and left multiple voicemail messages and emails requesting assistance but received no return communication. On December 18, 2025, after I sent an email, the company finally acknowledged my concerns via email, took responsibility for the lack of communication, and promised to schedule warranty work. However, as of January 19, 2026, no further action nor communication has taken place. Because the office phone is not answered and voicemail messages are not returned, I requested via email that someone come out between January 9 and January 16, 2026, to at least document the situation including written notes, photos, and a detailed description of the problem and to confirm next steps for repair since we understand it may be a challenge to repair in the winter time. That request has gone unanswered. In my experience, Big Yeti Builders and its representatives have not followed through on their stated commitments regarding warranty service. Communication with the office manager, Kim Crandall, when she does answer the phone, has also not resulted in any confirmed action or resolution. As of January 19, 2026, their contractor license (#10687874-5501) expired. This review is based solely on my personal experience with this company. I recommend that prospective customers ensure they receive clear written documentation of warranty terms, follow-up procedures, and payment schedules before hiring.

When we decided to use these guys he came back on a Saturday to do our contract. He stuck to the estimate he gave us and gave us exactly what we wanted. He even took the time to discuss how the deck should be rebuilt so that it will last longer. They came out on a Tuesday and started in. Torn down the old deck, cleaned up the area, then stared in on the new deck. By the end of the day most of the new deck was done. The next day was finishing up the trim and installing the railing. Again, once it was done they did a great job cleaning up the area. Saving this company's business card for other work I need done in the future. They are worth it.
