This was our first time eating at Snooze. It was almost next door to our hotel so we gave it a try. We loved the vibe! Nice, open and bright, plus they were celebrating one of the managers who they call "Queen Bee" and the whole place was decorated with bees and all the staff were wearing antennas. The kids were loving it! I wanted something light, so I ordered the yogurt bowl and it was perfect. Yogurt, berries, nuts and granola with a side of toast. I really enjoyed that! I ordered a mocktail with light ice and was given a cup noticeably smaller than the regular one..... and it was still filled with ice. Also got Juan's breakfast tacos, but they came without eggs. When I asked, the eggs were brought out much later, not scrambled, and by then the tacos were cold. I had also added soy chorizo, which were completely burned. We also ordered the fried rice without pork belly and substituted tofu, but still found a piece of pork belly mixed in. Our server was kind and aware of everything and I know the issues weren't her fault, but nothing was comped or adjusted on the bill. We have always been a huge fan of Snooze but until they prioritize people at the tables over to go, we will not be back. We arrived at 8:30, with a spot on the waitlist (number 2) that said 10 minutes (two people were in front) , and did not get our food till 10:02 the server was so apologetic but there was nothing she could do. When the kitchen is backed up because of to go, the tables get backed up which then means you wait 45 minutes to get seated (after your reservation), then another 45 minutes for food to get to your table. This visit made me seriously question the value of eating out anymore. I ordered only sides: two eggs ($5.50) and two orders of Polidori sausage (six links total at $11.50). No bread, potatoes, fruit, or drinks. The bill was $17 before tax for eggs and sausage. Even being generous, the ingredient cost for the eggs is well under $0.50. That's about a 13x markup for plain eggs with no seasoning, no garnish, and no added preparation. The sausage is fine, but it's not house-made or special enough to justify the pricing. What really sealed it was the wait. This took 30 minutes to come out. Eggs and sausage should take 10-15 minutes, tops. If the kitchen is understaffed or prioritizing full entrées, that's understandable, but it still affects the customer experience. The food itself was bland and forgettable. No seasoning on the eggs, no standout flavor on the sausage. It felt like frozen or bulk ingredients sold at premium brunch prices. I get that à la carte ordering probably isn't what they want to encourage, but in today's economy, value and service matter more than ever. Headed into the office on Sunday and thought I'd try Snooze to ease a weekend workday. Ordered takeout habanero bacon bene with grits and some sausage gravy to mix in. The bene was disappointing. Almost no sauce and berry stuff. Taste was meh. Bacon was thick and tasted good, but where is the habanero? Is that in the teaspoon of sauce they dropped in the comtainer? I did my best to make it look ok, but it was just disheartening. Gravy has always been my barometer for a breakfast place's ability to nail flavor. However, a few things to point out that are lacking with the overall experience would be the speed of service and taste of the food. While the staff is very friendly and somewhat attentive, don't expect to have a quick meal from start to finish. I went with a group of people around noon and it is busy. I would recommend making a reservation if you're limited on time and are planning to go around lunch time hours. I saw that there were new summer drinks on the menu and decided to try out the Butterfly Lemonade, since I'm very keen on the lavender flavor. It was good, though I finished it long before the food arrived and sat with an empty glass in front of me for a while before flagging down a staff member for water. As for the food, the portions are decent and the flavors are just fine. The hollandaise for the Benedict's are heavier than your traditional sauce as it's made from cream cheese, so keep that in mind if you have more of a dairy intolerance. All in all, I think Snooze is a place to try if you're looking for a nicely decorated spot with decent food, but be careful not to go in expecting to have a quick or cheap meal. I wouldn't say it's the best breakfast food I've had and it's certainly not the worst. Went to Snooze on Labor Day morning! It was a busy morning, we did have to wait. However, M-F they do have happy hour all day! I would recommend ordering the out of the box items on the menu. My friends ordered Monte Cristo Brioche toast and the Duo Benny (Avocado smash and Barbocoa Green Chile) and both loved them! This location has some of the worst service I've ever experience anywhere. It took 15 min to get a coffee (and they weren't busy) and I had to get up from the table and walk to the bar. It took another 10 min to get half and half for that coffee. Do not go to this location. Whoever is running this restaurant should be fired immediately. It was a party in my mouth with buttermilk batter with rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips topped with sweet cream drizzle and whipped mascarpone. $0.25 of the proceeds are donated to the Trevor Project.
