No wait on a Wednesday morning. Outdoor seating fairly full, but lots open inside Greeted immediately upon entering and I sat at the counter. Orders the ham Benedict III instead of one of the more adventurous versions. Coffee was good, but would not have been hot enough for my late father, who liked to have his lips burned off. Benedict was served in under 5 minutes. It was great and really hit the spot. Note there is no free parking in this area, which is basically on the ASU campus. I paid $2 for 2 hours in a meter half a block away. There is also a parking garage a few doors down. If I had a student to visit here, I would eat here every time. If I had no on campus business, I would pick a breakfast spot with free parking. I really like the Snooze brand, but I'm still it sure who drinks all that booze before 2pm every day. read more

While staying in Wrigleyville West, my wife and I checked this place out for breakfast early Saturday morning. Located smack dab in the middle of ASU's spread out campus, finding free parking could be a challenge. Fortunately, metered street parking along 7th Street didn't start until 11:00 AM on a Saturday. Even though we arrived just after 7:30 AM on a Saturday, we had to wait a few minutes before we were seated. Our server provided the menus and she took our drink orders, coffee ($3.75 each) and water for each of us. We perused the menu and my wife ordered the Snooze Classic ($11.95) and I tried their 3-egg Scramble with bacon, onion and jack cheese ($13.50). Both breakfast items came with hash browns, shaped like a hockey puck, and toast. Portions were generous. The bacon looked house made and had a good smoky flavor. Eggs were fluffy and the hash browns were tasty. Coffee was a bit strong for our tastes but good. Speaking of coffee, we put away our share of coffee during breakfast and had to flag down our server for refill. I firmly believe that one of the marks of good service is never having to flag somebody down to get coffee or water refilled. Another is for a server to be genuine in asking how the food was. We didn't get either from our server Maniii. I was tempted to dock a star for less than stellar service, but the food, decor and vibe kept my review to 5 stars. We were in town for 3 days doing tours of ASU and UofA, and stopped here after our ASU tour. It definitely exceeded our expectations. It was such a cute modern classic diner vibe. But the food was beautifully presented and everything tasted excellent! We are from California so for us the prices were super reasonable too. Not only our server was amazing but the other staff were so nice and welcoming. We just loved the whole vibe here and highly recommend it. Snooze is our favorite breakfast place in Arizona due to the great food and outstanding service. This particular location in the ASU campus was quite wonderful due to the warmth and friendliness of the staff and the cozy decor. Although the patio was under renovation, it looked fantastic with all the bright orange umbrellas and sails and we will definitely be back to experience it. The food, as always, was exceptional (got to love those chocolate chip pancakes!) and the service was perfect. The manager, Frankie, and our waitress Leila (Layla?) were warm and friendly and made us feel incredibly relaxed and welcome. Whenever we want a consistently well-prepared breakfast in a fun location--we stop at Snooze. I love everything about this place. I make my way to one no matter the city I visit. So far I have been to three location and never have I ever been disappointed. The one that grabbed my heart forever was the location in San Antonio Texas. I think I ate there 4 times on my trip. The service was on point but the FOOD was wonderful. I love that I wasn't rushed . I adored the options and the attention to detail. My server made sure I was good without being annoying and she helped me figure out the parts of the city I wanted to visit. I have been to Snooze many times, mostly with colleagues. I love their benny duo because I get to try two different flavors at the same time. I love having a Benedict egg for brunch, but it usually comes with two of the same flavor. Being able to select from a list of choices and having two flavors in the same dish is like a dream come true for me. I also love their breakfast potato, which is shaped like a crispy potato cake. It is still great the next day. The only downside of this place is parking and the wait time. I once got a ticket for parking in the wrong spot nearby. Remember, always need to pay if you park in downtown Tempe. The wait time has always been super long whenever I go. I'm not sure if they do reservations, I'd recommend doing that if possible. read more

Solid brunch place! My friend and I came on a Sunday for brunch. Of course it was packed but we added ourselves on the yelp waitlist around 25 minutes before getting here so there ended up being like a 5 minute wait once we got here. Snooze is in the ASU area so finding free parking is a bit tricky, and I ended up just parking in the lot next to it which was like $3-4 for the hour. I don't think I've been to Snooze in AZ before but have been in San Antonio & Houston in Texas and had good experiences there. My friend and I were both STARVING so we each got the three egg omelette-I got mine with spinach, mushrooms, bacon and wheat toast on the side. Everything was delicious. The omelette was fluffy, seasoned well, and had a generous amount of the add-ins. At some brunch places I've been, their omelettes are sometimes drier and on the blander side so I feel like Snooze did a great job! Also, the jam with the toast is sooo good, I wish I could have a jar of it to take home! My only complaint is that I wish the hash browns were crispier as they were a bit soggy (also the ketchup they gave was kinda a weird texture like kind of grainy almost?). I had the Habanero Pork Belly Breakfast Fried Rice with a side of the Abso-Bacon-Lutely and Pineapple Upside Down Pancake. My girlfriend got the Spuds Deluxe. Can't express how dam good this food was. The texture of the pork belly was ridiculously tender. The shocker of the meal was the pancake. I've never in my life have a pancake this light. Didn't even have to chew it. It was like cotton candy and melted in my mouth. I also had the Morning Marg with jalapeño tequila and no complaints. Always a good choice for breakfast. As an indecisive person, I'm so happy they offer the signature pancake flight. This allows me to sample three different pancakes, or two pancakes and a French toast. I tried the Blueberry Danish Pancake, Pineapple Upside Down Pancake, and French Toast Neat. The blueberry pancake was awesome- best of the bunch, followed by the excellent French toast. The blackberries, blueberries and strawberries on it were top quality in freshness and flavor - a rare occurrence here in AZ. While the pineapple pancake was adequate, I didn't think it was anything special and expected more. The beauty of the sampler is I now know my preferences.
