The do have a wash room with shower if your pitching a tent with no RV. There is a Dollar General across the street which had food, liquor, supplies etc. which is very convenient and I think I went over about 4 times. There is a few restaurants near by and outdoor recreation is plentiful.

Lots of roller coaster hills. Plenty of camping sites and a ranger station on site. There is a small store before you get to lake and a very small park store at lake in case you forgot drinks ice etc. I did 4 , because bathrooms were horrible! Had not been attended to in I don't know when. Toilet was bearable but there was friends like lizard and mouse and spider in there literally. Best to go outside if you are afraid of guests. And paint peeling off doors etc. They needed love for sure. No reason for that condition at all. But other than this .... Lake was beautiful and park was lovely. We have been on a cross-county two week trip with another couple. We plotted out our route, and…read morepicked Landing Point on our way home to Kentucky. We loved our pull-through site. The hookups were perfect. We bought firewood and asked for the pit to be cleaned out (we didn't have a shovel). When the fella came to deliver wood, he cleaned out the pit. We told him we we're making s'mores. He actually scrounged up a couple pieces of scrap wood and ran it back over to us. Great guy!!! The girl in the office said they didn't have fire-starter, but said we could walk around by the woods and pick up kindling.

Three private full bathrooms with showers for when you just want a nice long shower. No stalls here. Miles and miles of graveled trails. Super cute cabins if that's your thing. She was very knowledgeable about the trails here as well as local history. She obviously loves her job and that is a wonderful thing to see. The center itself was very nice with a large number of taxidermy birds and mammals. The history of Indians and the forced march they had to endure is focal point of this park. The park offers some good views out over the mighty Mississippi River. We will return to hike the trails on another day!

The RV spots are immediately adjacent to a train track. 50 yards away at most…read more Trains run multiple times through the night. We have a baby and couldn't stay the night. The first thing the camp host told us was "no refunds." It was tacky. We left after being there a few hours. There's no way we could handle being so close to a train track.
