Meh... It was okay. Not somewhere we'll be going back. Food was alright, our waitress was decent but man was the bartender slow. We were there for an hour and only managed to get one drink. As soon as we sat down, we ordered drinks. By the time they came, we knew we'd need to go ahead and order another right then. Needless to say, we never saw them. The waitress had to cancel them when we decided to leave. I'd understand if it was slammed but we were 1 of maybe 7 tables in the whole place. read more

Been coming to Snuffer's for 20+ years. Back when Pat Snuffer owned and ran it, was a fantastic place. Not sure how this particular location stays in business. The food is good but the service is beyond terrible and has been since they opened. In fact, the service at all three places connected (El Fenix, Snuffers, Tacqueria La Ventana), and incidentally owned by the same company, is nothing to brag about. The wait to order food wasn't long, but it took forever to get it. And then we only saw the waitress twice more, once for a refill (the one and only) and then for the check. As we walked out she was sitting at a table playing on her phone. Saw people sitting at one other table and 2 guys at the bar. Sadly this has become the norm here. UPDATE 5/25: for whatever reason, seems my visits here are always on a Sunday. Adding on to my previous review, the service never seems to get any better. Rarely see more than a a few other tables occupied. On my last particular visit pretty sure the server took a few rips off a bong before serving my group. First sign was she took our drink order then came back 5 minutes later and told us she forgot what we wanted to drink. Order was wrong. Had to remind the server we needed utensils and plates. Attached are a couple of pictures. The first is what was supposed to be a medium cooked burger. The photo might be slightly deceiving but rest assured there was less than zero pink on the burger. Next picture is off a refill of tea. No ice, not even filled to the top. Someone other than the waitress brought our food out (she's identified herself as a manager in previous visits) and had plenty of attitude when it was pointed out the order was wrong. Maybe she was disappointed in the server or cook, but no need to act like that to your patrons. At this point my only options are to stop coming here or lower my expectations of service. The Snuffer's in Rockwall and the original on Greenville Ave are still great. If this place isn't careful it'll end up like it's sister restaurant that is no longer next door. We have lived here almost a year, but for some reason kept skipping over Snuffer's when choosing a restaurant. We finally tried it last night, and wished we had done so sooner! Service was fast and pleasant, food was great...we were impressed. My only complaints: 1: the menu could use a few more choices. But if you want a burger, this is the place to go. 2: If you have a headache or are wanting a nice quiet dinner, come back another time. Loud atmosphere with multiple TVs. I know the acoustics of a building isn't something that can be helped really, so I'm just saying to advise headache sufferers like myself, be prepared for a loud dining experience. Just outstanding service tonight. In this time where everyone is understaffed it was absolutely wonderful to experience this type of service. And the food was great too! There was a quarter inch layer of blue cheese on my burger. So good! And the "happytizers " were a great deal since we got there before 7. I was shocked the Queso was so good at a burger joint. Full disclosure, I am not a fan of "natural" cut fries so they were not my favorite but the onion rings were good. I would skip the fries next time, but that is a personal preference. read more

Shana's customer service is superior to anywhere else I've been. She's very articulate and aware of customers and their needs. The bar area is always very clean and sanitary. Everyone is always friendly and attentive to my needs. The food is always good and comes in a timely manor, and they always get my order correct. I've never had a complaint. All the servers that I've had are very relaxed and conversational. I recommend sitting at the bar! read more

I believe that this is probably in top ten of all time worst service I have had. Took 30 minutes to get the margarita then another 45 for food. Asked for extra dressing twice and never got it. It was in our hotel parking lot. So, after reading reviews we did decide to eat here but expected slow service. Well, we had great service. It was fast and they were very nice. Now to the food. My husband and our family have been to the Snuffers in Addison and Dallas and happened to be in Greenville and stopped in for dinner. With Covid last year, most places we've been to recently have had below average service and little customer service so we didn't have too high of expectations. We were WOWED by Mackenzie and her service and smiling face. She was so great, so nice and had the best customer service. The food was FANTASTIC and came out in what felt like 5 minutes from ordering and it was HOT! We will be coming back and May drive the extra 30 minutes to come to Greenville instead of richardson next time we have a hankering for cheese fries! I was in town tonight for business. I stayed at the hotel right behind this restaurant. Stopped in here because of the positive yelp reviews. I will tell you that this burger was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It had green chilies on it as well as cheese and a chipotle mayo. I sat at the bar with a colleague of mine to watch the game. The bartender Jessica did a great job of taking care of us and offering witty humor the entire time we were there. This is a cool place if you're looking for a nice atmosphere to eat some dinner take in a game and have some great cocktails. I would highly recommend stopping by in trying some of their burgers all of them looked phenomenal. read more

Really surprised at Snuffer's, and not in a good way. Took the wife and kiddo there this evening (4:30 on a Sunday afternoon) looking to enjoy a nice dinner. Now, maybe my expectations were set a little high, I don't know. But, here's my experience: We walked in and we're seated by the hostess, who asked us if we needed a kids menu. We replied yes, to which she returned to her hostess station and stood there. Five minutes later my wife had to go up there and ask for the kids menu. She said, "oh I'm sorry, I forgot." Mind you, the hostess station was literally 10 feet away from where they seated us. During that time, and for at least an additional 8 to 10 minutes, several waitresses walked back-and-forth past our booth, but never once did anyone offer to take our drink or see how we were doing. At the time that we walked in there, there were maybe only five or six families in the restaurant and at least 6 to 10 waitresses either walking around or all gathered in the back in the corner doing nothing. Several times, one or two of them made eye contact with my wife, but never once did anybody bother coming to our table to see if they could help us or take our order. Unfortunately, I can't critique the food, because after a total of 15 minutes of sitting there without even being acknowledged, we got up and walked next-door to El Fenix. Very strong four star establishment. We were greeted quickly upon entering by friendly waitresses. After we were seated, it wasn't long for our food to arrive. Some of the best fries you will ever have! Burgers had good flavor and for the price were definitely worth having. Ordered the Patty Melt and the Mini Cheeseburgers. For a burger joint, the food and price are worthy enough for a return trip. read more

I ordered a bacon guacamole burger with jalapeños on it. when I looked at my burger I noticed it had no guacamole on it. not a big deal I told her and she brought it on the side. the thing that really bothered me though was when I started eating my burger the bottom bun was completely soggy causing it to fall apart. which was why I gave it 4 stars out of 5. read more

The food is usually spot on, the reason for the three stars is the service. Specifically at the tables. It is extremely slow. Doesn't matter is they are busy or not. Each time we've come it has taken 15+ minutes for a server to even come to the table to greet us. We've started sitting at the bar, the service is great there! I called in a to go order. The manager said she was not at a computer but wrote down my order on a piece of paper and would enter it as soon as she finished what she was doing. My order was supposed to take 30 minutes. I ran a couple of errands during that time. When I got there to pick it up after 35 minutes, I was told it would be right out. After a couple of minutes, the manager came out & confessed that she had forgot to put in the order but would make my order the priority, she brought me the ticket (3 different kind burgers with fries) and had comped part of the order. After a while they brought the order & I headed home. Just as I pulled in the driveway, they called to tell me they had give me the wrong order. I hade to drive back to the restaurant to exchange the order. They gave me 2 coupons for a free appetizer. Big whoop. Was here this past Sunday. We stopped in on our way back to Dallas. The cheese fries are always very very good, nice and hot, lots of cheese and bacon. However, the bun to my chicken sandwich seemed "old". It fell apart very easy, not fresh tasting. Also the chicken that was to be grilled was so dry, no moisture to it at all. And it came out cold. Not too many people in the restaurant and we noticed three parties were either turned away or walked out on their own. Not sure what was going on there but at noon on a Sunday, you would expect the house to be full. Hopefully they will step it up a bit. But from experience in Greenville, not too many young people in that town seem to really want to put in too much effort. read more

We have eaten at Snuffers frequently over the years. Always enjoyed a good burger and cheddar fries, but WOW have they gone down hill. Two groups were seated after us and had their orders placed before we saw a server. Finally got to order a Mushroom burger and Dr. Pepper burger medium well, with a side of medium cheddar fries. Other tables served still no food, server said it was backed up in the kitchen. Finally the order arrives, single order of Cheddar fries, my burger was rare delivered with blood running around the plate even after the bun had soaked most of it up. Burger was raw and middle cold, wife's was a little more cooked but still rare at best. Server took the single Cheddar fries and left us with lousy burgers and no fries. She then returned with the original order of single fries that are now cold. Finally got the medium fries after my wife ate 1/2 of her burger, I refused to eat my burger and chose not to order something else, why would you with food prepared like this. Manager comped my burger but didn't take into count the bad experience. Sorry will be a long time before we go back! read more
