The place is a little farm, caravan park, campsite, with rabbits, cattle, poultry, alpacas, goats you can feed, sheep, allsorts, and a little chalet where you can have your lunch, or buy farm shop type goodies. Lunch is pretty basic, a few choices of soups, sandwiches, salads, and the beauties that are Staffordshire oatcakes. But hell, I know that's not what you're after. You guys want the icecream don't you? Well, it's awesome, get yourself a big fat banana split, a sundae, cones, tube, to eat in, or you can purchase little cinema style single serving tubs, or treat yourself to varying litres, yes, litres. I'm personally always a fan of a banana split, as I can pretend I'm not being completely awful to my waistline, and you get to pick three flavours. My current absolute favourite is the Jaffa cake icecream, I described it to my other half, and he said its description was more unnecessarily arousing than the old marks and Spencer's ads. This isn't just any icecream, this is: tiramisu, Turkish delight, vanilla, blackcurrant, tutti fruity, bubblegum, chocolate, blackcurrant and licorice, ginger and lime, cappuccino, strawberry, dulce de leche, banana, banoffee, mint n choc, cherry, honeycomb, and so so much more thick, creamy, jersey cow deliciousness. They do have the standard flavours like vanilla, mint choc chip, etc, but to mix things up a little bit, they have some genius ideas, such and ice-cream mixed with sweets, biscuits and other delicious sauces. This time I opted for the Jammie Dodger ice-cream - it was perfectly creamy and had little chunks of biscuit in it. I'm not a massive fan of the ice-cream cones so I opted to have mine in a tub. There are however a few different options when it comes to the cones, there's the standard plain one, a chocolate one and one with sprinkles. This is a cute little café, so there are seats so that you can sit down and enjoy your ice-cream. Alternatively you can walk around with it and watch people ski / snowboard through the viewing area. The prices are marvellous for the quality of the products served. I cannot fault this place at all.

Rich's is primarily a nice little café at the quieter end of Lord Street which offers its customers a pleasant atmosphere in a reasonably-sized area that gives shoppers the chance to take the weight of their feet and have a hot drink and a sandwich or light snack. However, where Rich's really excels is in its range of desserts. As their sign says, Rich's sells ice cream in a variety of flavours and colours, meaning even the fussiest person could find a flavour to suit their tastes (I usually play safe and stick to chocolate myself, but each to their own). Their dessert menu also features a selection of homemade delicacies such as sundaes and huge chocolate éclairs which at three quid are pretty expensive but are definitely worth it, as my éclair-loving friend will testify.

I thought the setting was wonderful it was possible to see for miles around. I was pleasently surprised how much this place had to offer as if all that icecream and cakes wasn't enough for you there is also animals which includes donkeys, rabbits, goats, geese, and of course cows and a playground and mini golf. Yes there is mini golf with the most amazing views of West Yorkshire The icecream was simply delicious I have to admit it was difficult to decide from all the yummy flavours 24 in total lucky that it is possible to have scoops of different ones together in one tub. Also they sell large tubs to take away and store in your freezer. It is possible to eat inside the cafe or the is seating outside which is lovely on a nice day. There was a lot of excitement locally, awaiting the opening of Moochie B's and they have not dissapointed us. As a big fan of all things sugary, I knew this was somewhere I would have to visit, particularly as it's a 5 minute walk from where I work and the fact the interior is pink! Inside there's a kind of American Diner feel, which I love. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone who knows me knows that customer service is VERY important to me and again I was not dissapointed here. I also love the fact that this is a family run business. I heard on the grapevine that the manager/owner went to Italy to train to make gelato! Talking to him, it's clear he has a passion for it and was happy to discuss how the gelato was made and new flavours he was exploring. I asked about whether he would be doing diary free ice cream and was told that he was experimenting with this, but would also be offering sorbet at some point too. This made me VERY happy. The milkshakes seem particularly popular, but on my most recent visit, I had a fresh made waffle and gelato. Strawberries and cream come as standard, although I did not partake. The customer service has always been 5* in my experience, can't fault the guys that work here. The actual shop is a fairly small unit with about 5 seats inside and a few outside when the weathers nice. To be honest I'm surprised they've got 5 seats in there but they have, and it's comfortable. Want to know a secret? I actually prefer frozen yogurt to ice cream. It's true. It cannot be touched in terms of light, delicious brilliance. So how excited was I when I saw the bright, inviting colours of Frurt on Whitworth Street West, just off Oxford Road round the corner from Cornerhouse? All kinds of. Shortly after spying that I joined my flat-hunting amigo in an estate agents' office two Saturdays ago and picked up a copy of Urban Life to flick through. What did I see but a Frurt advert, noting their opening weekend at the end of July? Oh, now I was even happier. While I didn't make it to their grand sample give-out due to weekend commitments, the hideously cloying weather had me making a beeline for their enticing, clean and fun-looking shop. I couldn't resist. Instantly I was intrigued by the Fruit Parfait, which at £3.50 is one of the best value things on the menu (and they're all great value, believe me). You get your generously scooped and whipped fro-yo, with a choice of four flavours - au naturel, chocolate, strawberry or green tea. As soon as the last one was mentioned I was decided. Then it's topped with granola, a delightful drizzle of honey and your choice of two fruits - for me it had to be strawberry and mango. Off I wandered... and I stopped. I'm so silly for thinking I could eat this on the go. It demands your attention. You have to savour and enjoy it, and I found myself a peaceful spot of street and gave my treat the focus it deserved. And I didn't want it to end. It was almost breakfasty with the granola, fruit and honey, and there are plentiful topping choices if you want to feel a little naughtier. Just know that the base fro-yo is stupendously healthy. Isn't that just awesome? Going to a movie at the Cornerhouse? Grab yourself a cheeky takeaway treat beforehand. They're open until 10pm each day and it's our duty as independent business-loving Mancunians not to let them down.
