This review is well overdue they always have great selection and Prices are best in town. Not $40 bucks for a new bowl for your bubbler. Like $8 bucks. The one Guy Josh I think is there all the time. The old man is his dad I think and only works every once in awhile but he is old and doesn't understand everything give him a break! Most of us know what we want when we go there. So Cal Smoke Shop is a great place to stop for all of your smoking needs. Whenever I'm in the Valley, I swing by to pickup smokes, cigars and pipes. They have a great cigar section with an array of flavors and brands. The owners are very sweet and helpful. They have a little area outside the smoke shop for anyone to sit back and relax for a smoke or two. It's a very cozy atmosphere. I'll continue to shop there when I'm away from my home in Ventura. I wish there was a zero star rating. These guys are crooks. I bought an epipe that didn't work. They said I need to take it home and charge the batteries. After I added a fresh battery it still didn't work. And it was missing the charger. I called the store owner. He asked me to bring it in. After showing he verified the circuitry wiring is bad, then said tough. No store credit , refund or anything. He was very rude. I contacted the manufacturer and he said the product is counterfeit because they don't make it in that color. Last straw was I paid $65 for a epipe that I fund out sold on the Internet for $36. Counterfeit, overpaid, and TERRIBLE customer service. There's sooo many other smoke shops. Skip this one. read more

I've been here twice now and the customer service has always been outstanding! The gentleman who helped me today was on the spot! I told him exactly what I wanted--non processed smoking tobacco and paper, natural filters, and a manual roller--and he quickly gave perfect recommendations. I am so glad to be able to support a family business, especially when the customer service is consistently classy! Hence my urge to write this review and give them a huge thumbs up! Why I visited their shop today: Like many smokers, I almost cried when I learned that price of a pack of cigarettes will shoot up to almost $10.00 a pack on April 1st. Granted, I smoke American Spirit Organic, which are already pricey, but WTF?! Happy April Fools Day, LOL; yet not....Did they intentionally choose this day to increase the price, are they calling us fools? Jerks. I decided to switch to Roll Your Own because I knew it would be a lot cheaper. When he told me had American Spirit Roll Your Own, I was very happy because I smoke the same tobacco but in pre rolled pack of twenty. It actually has the USDA Organic label, the original packs of Organic American Spirits had the USDA Organic seal but it mysteriously disappeared over time. Hmmm Price per pack breaks down to $2.50, that's a lot cheaper than $10! Ordered an automatic rolling machine. Rolled one using a manual roller and it smokes exactly the same! I'm not a heavy smoker anymore these days, but I do enjoy good tobacco maybe once or twice a day. Not to mention a good cigar on occasion, they carry those too by the way. I've been a lazy person that I kept forgetting to comment about this place. This is my local shop I go to whenever I need hookah stuff since it's only few blocks away from my house. But rather than being close to my house, I love the owner who works here. Very friendly, honest, and upfront with everything. Also provides good discounts and few free stuff such as hookah tips when I buy things in bulk. I only smoke hookah, but I see LOTS of people coming in for cigs and cigars. This is the spot for many locals and I can clearly see why. Very diverse customers here too that puts smile on my face based on what they want because I feel that I see something new everytime I come here. LOL. read more

We called ahead to see if they carried American Spirit Unfiltered cigarettes (which almost nobody carries), and the owner was very friendly, and greeted us when we came in.
