    Orange, apple, ginger smoothie.

While exploring Place Massena, we stumbled upon So Green. Whenever I have the opportunity to grab a juice, I go for it. Luckily they spoke English. I ordered an orange/apple juice and it cost under 5 euro. It had more of a "blended juice" texture, but I love those so it didn't bother me too much. If juices aren't your thing, they have salads, sandwiches, and other smoothies, and drinks on the menu. We enjoyed the free wifi and drank our beverages in their main (air conditioned) dining area. I loved the ambience of this cafe; reminded me of the typical health juice bars that you would see in NYC. Definitely would return if I was in this area again.

Great meal in France!…read more This was a fantastic first dinner in Nice right off the main drag. We had reservation for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect. All the dishes were served with plenty of accompaniment. Great meal for a great French experience. Would highly recommend.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

The highlight was the local figs, feta and heirloom tomato appetizer. All 3 were amazing, and he covered them in a delicious black-olive olive oil that really came through in a fantastic way. We also got a delicious pesto pasta with homemade pasta and (you guessed it) high end olive oil. This was quite good as well. The owner was extremely kind, the service was fast and pleasant, and he truly looked to enjoy sharing his craft. It's a small homey restaurant on a crowded part of old town, but don't let that scare you away, definitely worth stopping by when you're in Nice!

Pesto spaghetti was cooked perfectly and had a mild flavor. Tiramisu was probably one of the best I have ever had, even better with the olive oil. The olive oil itself was a standout addition. Very small menu and you must make reservations in advance as the place only sits around 10 people. Open for lunch. Euro only.

5 stars: my favorite place for lunch/brunch in the city…read more 【In Short】 This place is busy for a reason: they have the best pastries in the area, and they serve a small yet diverse lunch menu, but every single option is delicious. You might wait a bit but it is so worth it. 【Atmosphere and Service】 Nice is my hometown and everyone knows this spot for brunch and lunches. It is located in a lovely and very trendy area with a lot of restaurants around. Deli Bo is a pretty small place but you end up with a decent amount of privacy as the table are well separated and the staff is respecting the Covid social distancing rules. We got lucky enough to be served by the owner himself who told us that he used to be a pastry chef as well. Indeed, the dessert are to die for so keep some space for a small tasting. 【Club Sandwich】 This is a classic dish all over the world and I have seen quite a few of them, from disappointing, to over the top. This one is simply excellent, the portion is perfect, and it has all ingredients you could expect from this classic sandwich: some fresh chicken and bacon, eggs, crispy lettuce, tomatoes, and a generous amount of mayonnaise and mustard, all between perfectly toasted white bread. Simply delicious for a quick lunch. 【Sticky Ribs with Asian Slaw】 This was a surprise. In such a short menu, they manage to offer you some bagels, seared tuna, ceasar salad, truffle pasta, and also some sticky ribs. There is literally a choice for every desire. Those ribs were falling off the bone tender, the glaze was incredible and the asian slaw next to it did not need any seasoning from us. A great original dish. Special mention for the dessert, we did not have time for them this time, but I really recommend the lemon tart, it is to die for. Just stop reading this review and go check it out, you won t regret it

I was sooo looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, I was left with cheese on my face (sorry no eggs here, only cheese, cheese, and more cheese). We arrived a bit early for our reservation (15-20 minutes), but we were seated immediately, which was nice; the table was stuffed into a corner, but at least we were seated. Unfortunately, that was about where the niceness ended. The restaurant is supposed to be housed in a former cheese cave, which I thought would be exciting and romantic, instead it was just hot and cramped. This is one of those restaurants that tries to accommodate as many diners as possible, so we were basically eating right on top of another couple (who were incredibly displeased, even stating, "this service is abysmal"). We could literally hear every word spoken up to two tables away, so don't expect to have any privacy, except from the servers that is. Service was unpleasant and extremely minimal. Our server took our food and drink order, delivered our drinks, another server apologized for the delay in receiving our meal, and our original server delivered our meal...and that was it. They didn't refill our water bottle, ask if I wanted another glass of wine, stop by to see if we liked our meal -or needed else (which we did), or even bring a check. After waiting too long for our check, table full of finished plates and empty cups, we eventually just got up and headed upstairs. Apparently you're supposed to head upstairs to pay, but we'd have never known since our server was doing they're best David Copperfield impression. Now for the food. The kitchen was tiny tiny, so it's no wonder the menu consists of cheese for the starter, cheese for the entree, and cheese for dessert. Sprinkled in-between the assortment of cheeses was a steak masquerading on the menu as "Aubrac Bib", whatever that means, and the Tartiflette, think pork belly scalloped potatoes and the only thing you should order here. The Tartiflette was microwave-lunch small, but it was hot, rich, and pretty meaty for the size. I got the Camembert (takes 30 minutes) and it was pretty awful as a meal. It's not even really a dish. They literally opened up the wooden wheel of cheese, peeled back the paper, sprinkled a few things on top, then baked for 30 minutes, so it was more of just a cheese dish. It arrived-paper still covering the top, and was served with some under-seasoned fingerling potatoes and a salad. The salad was good and potatoes were okay, but the cheese was so one-note, it needed meat or veggies to dip in it. Unfortunately, I only had the few potatoes and two small bits of baguette to dunk, so my only option was to eat it like soup, which I did not-so half remained wasted and uneaten. We would have liked to have eaten dessert, but after the poor meal, and lack of even offering dessert, "How could we?". I'm giving 2 stars for the Tartiflette because it was delicious. I would not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.
