I was lucky enough to score a pair of tickets to SOBEWFF Midnight Eats @ Espanola Way. I love the block at Espanola Way and last night was a blast. There's nothing I enjoy more than delish food and drink flowing endlessly from all directions. Top it off with Rev Run performing on stage with old school classics and new school beats and it's definitely a night to remember.
Got there early and waited in line for almost an hour. It actually started at midnight and ended around 2am. Several types of wines were featured including Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Rioja, and some white wines. The Rioja was my favorite by far. A type of mezcal drink was also served at another drink station and it was super good.
As far as the food, the tastiest and most memorable ones for me were the torta, paella, ceviche, pizza, burger, burrata, gelato, and all of the sushi bites which was basically almost all of them. It was hard to keep up with everything that was put out there. Several food stations rotated their samples. As soon as their small bites ran out, we would return to check on what was new that they were sampling. All night these stations put their food out there and we went to get it. No questions asked. It was simply awesome.
The real cost of a ticket for this event was $95. Even that would be worth paying for! read more
