She came to the table and said "Are you ready to order?" We put in a drink order and queso. She seems annoyed we didn't put in our entrees. When the queso was delivered I said we're ready to order. I ordered, my husband ordered and then she just turned around and started to walk away. I had to stop her so I could order for my toddler. Food comes, we ask for more napkins. Never got napkins, no drink refills, no checking on us. Took our plates and didn't return with the check. She was more interested in chatting up the bartenders then taking care of her tables. Have always had great service here whether it's busy or not. The fish or shrimp tacos are one of my favorites but can never go wrong with most items on the menu. The best about this location is it's more of a laid back casual atmosphere to enjoy the food and hang out. Very nice outdoor area to eat and Casual Pint across from them has their people outside as well. Dogs welcome to the area and great place to people watch. This is the second time I've been served a salad with moldy produce--not just wilted or questionable, but actual mold. That's not an accident; that's negligence. When I brought it to the manager's attention, instead of taking responsibility, he repeatedly blamed the supplier--as if that excuses serving moldy food to customers. I made it clear that it never should have left the kitchen in that state, yet he kept deflecting. Eventually, the head chef was brought over and offered an apology, but by then, the damage was done. As for how they "made it right"? They simply removed the inedible salad from the bill. No additional apology, no effort to regain my trust as a customer--just a shrug and a deleted charge for something I couldn't eat. That kind of attitude tells me everything I need to know about how this place operates. If a restaurant is willing to serve visibly molded food, what does that say about the rest of their kitchen standards? This isn't just bad service; it's a health hazard. This was my first time at this location, it has a nice patio area with plenty of parking. Something to note is they do not take reservations and they will not seat you until majority of your party arrives. I ordered the chicken and chorizo street tacos. The chicken was a bit bland, but the chorizo was really good. The street tacos come pretty stuffed with a side container of onion and cilantro, limes, and a side of homemade habanero salsa. If you don't read the menu carefully, you'll miss that tidbit of information on the salsa. It is pretty spicy, so I recommend not dousing your tacos in it first until you try a little bit to make sure you like that level of heat. The first basket of chips and salsa are complementary, this and the two street tacos was about $8 which I felt was pretty good for what I got. read more

I also had the lunch special, pork burrito with rice and Charro beans. I like the option of Charro beans vs refried beans (which I don't like). However, the burrito isn't all that well-seasoned to be truly tasty. They also provide chips and salsa before your meal, which is very tasty. This was my first time going to a Soccer Taco and I can't believe it because it was so yummy! The chips and salsa were some of the best I've had at any Mexican or Tex Mex restaurant. I got the taco salad and it was huge so I couldn't even finish it. So the portions sizes are great too! Our waitress Maddy was fast and always ready with a new beverage when needed. I enjoy Soccer Taco a lot. This location is close to our neighborhood, so it's often a convenient dinner spot. Food is reliably good, but service at this particular restaurant needs a serious overhaul. The last two times we've visited, it's taken an extended time to even be greeted, then just as long to get drinks and place our food order. There seems to be a high turnover in servers, so that's part of the problem. However, I can't tell that there's a manager who's actively involved. Had the buche and lengua tacos tonight 4/22. Buche was dowsed in warm pig lard before they were served. Couldn't finish the buche but the lengua was alright.
