They tried on some clothes from La Raza and, being the only guy around, they asked for my opinion on the clothes available. Meh, wasn't a fan at all. Everything looked like it was an Ed Hardy knockoff. Yeah, there really are things worse than Ed Hardy, would you believe. Unless you don't mind looking like a Christian Audigier totem pole, I'd skip this store, ladies. If you DO want to look like a Christian Audigier totem pole then head on in! I guess the good thing about La Raza were the decent prices.

I'm just putting it out there to save others from potential grief. The stuff for sale is crud and…read morecrap, dirty, missing parts and broken. The coats are old, dirty, ripped and they shed. Wedding dresses are over priced and soiled at the hems from the filthy floors. The selection of furniture is really lousy. The staff is friendly but really pushy in getting people in the lineups to the checkouts when they are unsure about making a purchase. The store smells and security guards are always there to oversee that someone isn't shoplifting their junk there. I just bought a jacket there. Although it was warm it was a bit smelly and ripped at the cuffs. the fur was shedding and fluff would be flying in the air as I walked. I don't know why I bought it! But I feel really burned for the hard earned money I paid for it.

The tags were not altered or switched in any way. WHAT A SCAM! Also very illegal... I left over $200 worth of items in the cart and walked out.

In this day and age, I am shocked that the food court only has "one" bathroom, likely the only one…read morefor the entire mall. I used it today since I had a Doctors appointment, but as I left the bathroom, a very sweet geriatric women using a walker, and hunched over the walker, was waiting to use the bathroom. I held the door open for her, and realized how bloody heavy this door was. So I stood waiting in the hall, and as I heard her try to open the door, I gently opened it and held it open so she could exit while leaning on her walker. I told her it's ridiculous this door does not have a mechanical door assist for seniors. The Mall should be embarrassed in only having one bathroom stall for two genders. Also this single bathroom had "NO" Urinal, so if a make teenager from the school across the road used the toilet, there's a good chance he left behind a male teenagers signature mark of a wet toilet seat. It's GROSS, UNHEALTHY, and shy of INHUMAN. The Mall will probably not care, so I am taking this health complaint to the AHS.

Other than that my family calls it an old peoples mall. There is no clothing stores, and the food court which is only 4 places and gross food. Dots is a pretty decent liquidation store…read more There are two locations in Edmonton; the other one is a much larger location located just north of Oliver Square against the cemetery. All Dots are like a thrift store version of Winners so you need to have time to hunt for the Easter Eggs or hidden treasures. Currently they have some pretty wicked novelty clearance items from Urban Outfitters as well as jewellery/accessories from Urban Outfitters. They have clothing brands from all over the world and they get progressively marked down; sign up for their emails for advance notice of sales and e-mail exclusive coupons. This is a great place for discounted books (I seriously found Choose Your Own Adventures in reprint at the other location for $3!!!!). They consistently have Dex clothing liquidations and other random brands including boutique brands. Today they had Eddie Bauer feather filled mittens! Definitely try your clothing on here though they do have a short 2 week exchange policy. They carry swimsuit 2 piece items throughout the year and usually around the $4-$8 price point. They carry the most random assortments but from time to time you'll find vinyl records, holiday greeting cards with the F-bomb in them, and funky magnets/office supplies. I've found sassy note pads here, great books for presents, hats galore (and usually about $5), runners for my kids (prices vary but cheap, cheap), and dresses for my daughter for under $5. Basically, you need to come here to figure out if this store is for you but plan on having some time to wander around and not be in a rush.

You know how, listening to the radio all the time (it doesn't seem to matter which station, just…read moreanything FM), you always hear about the blowout sales at Dots? They go something like this: "Get down to Dots for the biggest blowout sale of the season! Mexx! Rock'n'Republic! Some other well-known brand name! Now a lesser-known brand name! Even lesser-known brand name! What is that, I've never even heard of that brand name! Jeans are $10! Shirts are $2! You can't miss this!" So, you can see why I was always a little bit skeptical. Why would I want jeans for $10? Those have to be knock-offs, or just terrible quality. Plus it never sounded like they carried a ton of brands I was super into. But I was having a girly day the other day (I know, that seems to be a theme in a lot of my reviews) and on my way back into the city from South Common I spotted Dots. Why not? I had half an hour to kill. Here's the thing about Dots. I can totally understand why someone would absolutely hate shopping here. It's like shopping at Winners, only more frustrating. The clothes are jam packed onto rack upon rack. And there are just so many racks. The items are helpfully organized by brand (and sometimes size as well), but that doesn't negate how completely overwhelming it is to walk in here. I would say that 95% of the clothes in Dots are things I would never wear. They're either off-trend, aimed at an older demographic, poor quality, or just plain ugly. But if you take your time, this place can be magic. I found the most beautiful dress I think I've ever seen. Regular $130 (and supposedly, would be more at other stores) marked down to $30. Bought it! Now, the zipper was broken, which cost me another $40 at the tailor's (I know, total rip-off, but that's a whole 'nother review), but that's still almost a 50% discount. Not too shabby. I also found two other very cute, age-appropriate modern working girl kind of tops. They were both really inexpensive and really pretty! I don't think I'll have the patience to shop here often, but it was definitely worth it to come by, and when the mood strikes me (and the sales are on), I'll be back.

The Mad Hatter's Superstore might seem like it's just a magic store from the outside, but they sell…read morea whole bunch of accessories. I stumbled across this store when I was looking for a new umbrella. I didn't think they had one, but to my surprise there were a bunch of umbrellas sitting right there...for only $5! These were pretty decent, although somewhat small umbrellas, so for $5 I wasn't complaining. They have a whole bunch of magic accessories if that's what your looking for. Juggling scarves, gags, that kind of thing. So if you're in South Edmonton and need a magic store, I guess this is your place. Everything was very cheap, too.

They sell such a random assortment of things like brooms, umbrellas, carpets, pictures, magic accessories. It really made no sense. The store is not a store you crave to go to but it is something you can browse around if you stumble onto it and then you might find something neat. As I was leaving I realized it must be called Mad Hatter's superstore because it is thrown together in a rather crazy way like the character.
