Just like a lot of others, Softrito's was extremely close to our hotel and after a long day at Disney we decided to try it out for a quick meal. We honestly didn't know what to expect because neither of us had ever eaten real Latin food before, but it was WELL worth it! We decided to get a variety of things just to try (and just in case we didn't like something). We got: Cachito ham, Venezuelan Empanada, Argentinian Empanada, and Mango juice. Every single thing we tried was amazing and we both were craving mango juice the second we got home - which we still can't find juice as fresh as that was. All in all, if you need a quick place to eat and have delicious food - I recommend it! If we lived in Orlando I know we'd definitely return. We tell all of our friends who head down to Florida to check it out if they have a chance!! PS we had to try the Cuban coffee too, and it didn't disappoint :) read more

Great value for good food. We were a party of 7. Most of us ordered churasco (grilled skirt steak) with shrimp. The chimichurri sauce was really good. Steak and shrimp were cooked well. This restaurant is amazing! It does not disappoint in any way. The food is to die for starting from the cuban & Colombian empanadas to the camarones al ajillo. I wish that the empanadas would have come in pairs but it was only 1 per plate. Do not leave the restaurant without trying the coconut flan!! You will thank me later. Bummed it didn't live up to 4.5 rating! We were hungry and craving Latin food! Food - Mediocre at best. They had limited things available when we came in (out of empanadas, churrasco) at 7pm. Rice (which is the easiest thing to make) was not fresh and the meat needed more seasoning... Not authentic to the dishes they were serving. Service - while the waiters who brought our food originally were very pleasant, no one came back to check on us after. Not even to see if we needed more water. Venue - the restaurant is very cute. The tables a bit small which became evident once the food came and you couldn't fit most of it on there. read more

The vegetarian dish was squash, peppers and onions seasoned and sauteed, was decent though not mind blowing. The roast pork was good. For sides we had the fried yucca, papas criollas (roasted new potatoes, lightly seasoned) and plantains, all very good. We ended with Cuban coffee, a must. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean. Delicious! My hotel is not currently serving food because of limited staff so I figured I would have to order delivery from a chain restaurant. I saw Sofrito on the Ubereats options and was super excited to have authentic food. I will probably be ordering from here every day! Some of the best pork I have ever eaten. Very good, authentic Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich is spot on if you are from Tampa like me. The pork on the sandwich is soooo flavorful and really makes the sandwich. I also got the roast pork meal with yellow rice and black beans and sweet plantains. The pork on its own we to die for, and the rest of the food was really good as well. A little extra beans would be good, but I'm a big eater, so probably just me. It is just really nice to eat here. There is plenty of parking. It feels nice to walk in. It is clean and a great place to take family for affordable eats on a Disney Vacation (if you have a car). If you don't have a car, they participate in UberEats. Check out the app. The design of the restaurant is nice and open. There are lots of Edison style bulbs. The main bar top is nice. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have a wide variety of Latin American foods. Before I became vegetarian I used to get the Cuban Sandwiches, Half Chicken (Pollo ala brasa - Peruvian), empanadas, roast pork. Now that I am vegetarian leaning Vegan, I go with the vegetarian plate which comes with three sides. Yellow rice - more savory but cooked in Chicken stock. Red Beans - cooked in meat, unctuous (may have bones at times). Their appetizer breads they feature have a nice variety including regular flour empanadas, corn empanadas (gluten free), pan de bono (gluten free). They also have a frequent flyer bonus where if you check in (right next to the register) you get a free 8.95 meal for every 10 visits. read more

Hello , so I have stopped into this restaurant and gotten 2 go about 3 times a week. For the past couple months. Always try to support local places instead of chains. Skip the tostones. But otherwise Food was fast to Come out. Food was ok. Close to Disney. But I do have a couple gripes. There is a brick (real brick, not decoration ) ledge inside the front of the waiting area. Where people are waiting. Some people are sitting on it. Which is now apparently not allowed. There is even a sign on it to not sit. Or even touch the brick. Lol. Roads are made out of bricks. Yet you can't touch a brick ledge? Very strange. Also. The men's bathroom has signs not to throw tissue paper in the toilet. So now there are dirty tissues with fecal matter in the main trash can close to the sinks. Very Unsanitary This is America. Not a 3rd world country. We can flush toilet paper here. I probably won't be going back to eat or take To-go anymore. Too many other options to spend my money at rather then employees telling customers to not sit on a brick ledge. Great food PERIOD! We ordered our food to go but the restaurant looked nice. You order your food at the counter and the staff brings it to you. There is a bar where sangria, wine and beer are available. My husband had the Roast Pork main meal with white rice and black beans. The beans were very good and the meat was very tender. Perfect. WHAT A GREAT RESTAURANT!! I work and live nearby. Drove by Sofrito for many many times but never thought about going in (did not know it is a very highly restaurant on yelp ). I got to learn more about the restaurant and the food at the Yelp event last month and got a $5 off coupon. Friday night we were looking for dinner choices; I was soooo hungry so decided why not try out Sofrito. I got the roast pork and was blown away when the plate was served. It was A LOT OF FOOD. If you get an entrée, it comes with a salad and you get to pick three more sides. For my roast pork, I got some boiled yucca, tostones, and yellow rice. They also gave me a dip/sauce that looks like thousand island on the side. Not quite sure what that was for but I assumed it's for the salad or tostones? Anyway the roast pork was SO FLAVORFUL. I read from some previous comments that it's roasted for about 36 hours. No wonder it's so tender and flavorful. Amazing. What makes it even more wonderful is the price. The entire plate of yumminess was only $9! Bf got the pancake dish with braised beef. I can't remember the Spanish name. It was pretty good but too cheesy and oily for me. When you walk in, they have their menu's hanging on a rack and it's two sided no fuss menu. Although the font is a little small, it's still possible to read. There are board games in the front that you can take to your table. We had a young child with us, so this a game of Jinga before dinner was perfect to entertain him as we waited to be served. There is also a large map on the wall, where you can mark the location from which you hail. Fun and educational for kids! I went with 3 friends and two of us got the Pollo La Brascas. It came with 3 sides. I got a side salad, white rice, fries and black beans. My friend got fried plantains (delicious!) and red beans. You can get a quarter or 1/2 chicken, which was nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection! You have a choice of dark or white meat. I chose white, which was moist, and flavorful. The fries were a little soggy and the salad was very basic. The whole meal was very large and enough to share among two people. I also tasted their vanilla flan, which was very sweet! We were full and satisfied. The whole dinner was very affordable considering the quality and quantity. I'd highly recommend it! read more

LOVED this hidden gem! Being that I'm from Miami I've tasted some really good Spanish food. The menu doesn't have much options, but that's not a bad thing. I was craving sandwich so I ordered a croqueta preparada, which was tasty. My fiancé ordered the lomo saltado which was very tasteful and flavorful and my sister ordered the churrasco which I deeply regretted not ordering that for myself. It came with chimichurri, probably one of the top tasting chimichurri sauce I've had in my chimichurri tasting life... And that's a lot! Although this place is set up as a restaurant, you order your food and pay for it first. You get a number, and when your food is ready someone brings it to you. The drink are all self service. Ordering our food took a long time. After ordering it took 35 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich, the vegetables were raw inside. I paid for quesitos, afterwards they told me they didn't have any so brought me something else instead. We ordered an arepa de jamón y queso and the cheese was cold and not melted. The Argentinian empanada was salty and reheated. We also had to wait a long time for tables to be cleaned and there is lots of food on the floor from previous patrons.
