    Creme brulee souffle pancake

Softbite is a causal restaurant with desserts and café food. The food is very aesthetically pleasing but overpriced. Very instagram-y restaurant. We had the soufflé pancakes which takes 20 minutes to come out. The pancakes are fluffy and eggy but needs a lot of the sauce to make it tasty. It comes with ice cream (vanilla, ube, or mixed). I didn't like the ice cream. Not very creamy and it was weak tasting. I liked the creme brulee one the best but it could use more of the sauce. The boba one was good too with tea flavor but at $18 each, it was not worth it.

I'm not sure about the bad reviews that Softbite has because personally I absolutely loved it & I had a takeout order- I can only imagine how great the dine-in soufflé pancakes would be as they would be fresh. I had the matcha mochi pancakes which were delicious. I look forward to trying other flavors/all the flavors from this place haha.

I thought this was quite delicious so surprised at the negative reviews? It's a bit more expensive than I expected given the casual setting of the environment but I thought portions were generous. Two dishes for two girls was more than plenty We also got the pancakes that I hadn't gotten a picture of which was fine! Quite sweet

My friends and I dined here for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The interior was cute, clean, with a variety of seating options. I went with the Prosciutto soufflé pancake, topped with whipped ricotta and hot honey. The pancake was wonderfully fluffy, light, airy, with a nice flavor. Savory, slightly salty prosciutto paired perfectly with the smooth ricotta and sweet honey with a kick. Also wanted to try something sweet, so ordered the Ube vanilla sundae with Yuzu topping. I wasn't sure how those unique flavors would mix, but it was quite tasty. The Ube was delightfully fragrant and delicate, while the Yuzu was satisfyingly citrusy and bright. Service was solid. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating, especially since we were a larger group. Prices were decent. I would like to return at some point for the Miso Salmon Clay Pot, Japanese Tonkatsu Curry Bowl or Gyudon.

Probably one of the worst dessert places lol.. everything tastes so artificial. The ice cream is suppose to be a mix of milk tea and vanilla but it seems like it is just milk tea. Drinks are standard, and so as fries.

This cafe is definitely more for the aesthetics. I would say all the food and drinks were average. Soufflé pancakes tastes too much like eggs for me. The strawberry matcha was nothing special. Decorations were cute, service was fine too. I went Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of tables open. Main reason I came was because there was no wait for a seat.

More like 3.5/5 stars, as the service was quick but the food was just okay. The drinks were decent and the servers gave us extra simple syrup to sweeten our drinks when requested. The soufflé pancakes were just slightly mushier than I would've liked, and weren't as thick as I would've wanted them to be so they just didn't really hit much. The omelette rice was not bad, but the rice also was a little bland and the cutlet felt a little overcooked inside.

The eggs Benedict was tasty! I even brought one home. The Hojicha Latte was absolutely delicious to drink. Service was great! The small is a bit small. There was a 90 minute time limit.

I came here for lunch and thought that it was a really cute spot! Located in LIC, this cafe is a cute brunch spot offering a variety of aesthetic Japanese fusion dishes and fun drinks. Service here is relatively quick and kind. I got the corn latte, tempura udon, and souffle pancakes here. The corn latte was a seasonal item and so good-- I loved the cream on it. The udon was light and a good portion. The tempura was so good. And, the souffle pancake was delicious, but I just wish it were a bit fluffier. Overall, not a bad spot and I liked it!

The dining experience was just a bit off... they have cute decorative pillows but when you look closer, they're a bit dirty and not washed. Service was slow, despite not many people around. The souffle pancake was good, yuzu flavor with soft service was special. The softbite latte (just a vanilla latte) was nothing special. They messed up my friend's drink order and it wasn't great. There was also a fly buzzing around by our table. I would not recommend coming here. The reason I am giving it a 3 was because the food was fine. I don't know if I would say the same about the dine-in experience.

Was really craving fluffy soufflé pancakes and was in the LIC and thought this would be a great find! The food was fine. We were a little disappointed with the soufflé pancake. It was not as fluffy or large amount as we were hoping, so it felt a bit flat - both physically and metaphorically. Taste wise it was fine. The curry was quite good - but would imagine this is very similar to block roux curry you can get from the store. The tornado egg is nice and overall we really liked this dish. Overall, would say this place is ok. If you really want soufflé pancakes to eat outside, there are not many around and this place is quite cute interiorly. There is a 1 order per person minimum, which wasn't an issue for us. But it just didn't hit the way we were hoping for the pancakes. I think will just make my own next time.

Tornado egg - slippery and savory. Added protein - pork katsu.

Always excellent service and the menu is just so satisfying - breakfast all day which includes their super slippery eggs and souffle pancakes of a few varieties. I also love their hot lattes, ube and the osmanthus Matcha ones. Served in a wide mouth mug with a neat wooden rounded handle, easy to pick up and sip. So I've ventured here three times already just to try a rotation of menu items. Breakfast for dinner - the best. Souffle pancakes as dessert - why yes. The cafe style menu is simple, they offer light bites like Takoyaki and fries (several options to boot). You can order lighter fare entrees like the tornado egg (so good) or something to share like a gyudon, baked salmon or udon. With the right dining companions, you can try multiple desserts like the creme brulee souffle pancakes or the Ube ones. We totally went overboard and did all that, doggie bagged what we couldn't finish. The souffle pancakes were light and fluffy. The toppings is what makes each one unique. Think texture like popcorn, Pocky sticks, sprinkles, ie. Helps to elevate the taste as well as appearance. That's why that creme brulee or Ube pancakes were well received by my companions - the fun toppings! Equally sweet and fun to eat. The souffle pancakes come with a side of ice cream (you can choose the flavors). For my Ube pancakes, we ordered a two flavor twist, vanilla and Ube ice cream. This satisfied the sweet tooth lovers. Now the pancakes themselves are the draw but the cozy atmosphere, simple yet pretty decor, with a large cafe dining area or the more intimate plush seating, this place is great for hanging out, a quick bite or a great date spot.

They have a giant menu posted on the wall to peruse. When we approached the counter to order, the person manning the register basically ignored us. When she finally acknowledged us to place our order, the interaction was taciturn and curt - no niceties. I ordered the single order pan-fried pancake ($8, but closer to $11 after tax). The menu states a choice between beef, pork, and chicken, but we were only given the choice between beef and chicken. The cashier also gave us a choice between spicy potato or pork floss (I opted for the pork floss), which was not denoted in the menu description. The menu does say it comes with veg, but what they really mean is lettuce/salad. The menu picture online is also misleading because it says it comes with an egg, and displays both a soft-boiled egg and beautiful runny egg cascading over the pancake. Instead, the only egg that was served was one overcooked fried egg (not runny at all!), and it was cold (but more on that later). The quoted wait time for the food was 20 minutes. There's a little station near the counter to grab napkins, silverware, and water. Around 9:30am on a Friday, several tables were filled, but no one had any food (the cafe opened at 9am, so I suppose the kitchen was still ramping up). My friends and I ordered variations of the same dish (the pan-fried pancake), but the dishes were served in reverse order - the person who ordered last got their dish first and vice versa. When one order is more complex than another, it's understandable when the easier/quicker one is served first. Since we all ordered nearly the same dish, this was not the case. The way things were being expedited was not efficient. When they finally called my name, I was excited to dig in, but the dish was cold! The beef was cold, the pancake was cold, the egg was cold and overcooked... I had half a mind to send it back. I'm guessing my order was ready earlier, but it must've sat there because someone forgot about it. Now technically, there are cold elements in the dish, if you count the lettuce and dressing, but there's no reason why the pancake, egg, and beef were all cold... they weren't warm, they didn't retain any heat, they were cold. They were also skimpy on the beef. The only redeeming qualities of the dish were that, fortunately, the pancake was still crispy, albeit cold and greasy, and the pork floss is a delicacy that gave the pancake a little extra oomph of flavor and texture. My friend ordered the Wake Up Combo ($14), which is the pan-fried pancake served with a soy milk and tea egg. Similar to my own egg experience, the tea egg was disappointingly overcooked (think hard-boiled) and not jammy like the picture at all. We all have bad days, so maybe Morning Brunch & Cafe was having one... but this is a skip for me.

The prices were bad here but the service and the food weren't great. When we arrived, we were scoping out the menu, they had it posted in a lot of places but it was kind of confusing. I did like how you could scan a QR code and when you clicked on an item, it was more descriptive of the add-on options or potential meat options. There are approximately 10-13 seats, so not great for a massive party, but good for a small outing or for take out. I saw a decent amount of delivery people come in to do pick ups. My friends and I were ordering and were curtly treated by one of the employees. I ordered the fried vegetable pancake with them since you couldn't order the QR code on the tables. She told me the options of only beef and chicken. I thought pork would've been an option and then she mumbled about the options for the additional topping. I couldn't understand her when she said pork floss, so I ordered spicy potatoes. The food also came out kind of sad and was slow to come out. The order was all wrong as I ordered last and then was delivered my dish first. It was kind of sad because I didn't even realize you should be able to pick up the pancake. It was hard to eat because it kept crumbling apart due to the pan fried falky pancake was a thin layer what just felt like crust. I was imagining more like a scallion pancake with vegetables infused or stuffed in. It also came out cold, and could have used a bit more flavor like a sauce or soy sauce. The spicy potatoe tasted a little undercooked as well. My friend ordered hers with pork floss instead and that tasted a little better. The dish also came with a supposed to be overeasy egg that is supposed to be runny, but was a bit overcooked.
