I've been to Soho Sushi twice so far, once for lunch and once for dinner. The sashimi was not bad but not the best. The 3 pc sake sashimi that came in the bento was not that good...thin, lame cuts. Unimpressive. So the second time, I ordered the large 15 piece sashimi bowl for dinner. It came with 4 pieces of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and 3 pieces of albacore. The cuts were much better...larger, thicker, and better parts of the fish. The type of tuna was ordinary and to me, not that enjoyable. I liked the salmon and yellowtail much more. The albacore was okay. The large 15 pc sashimi bowl came with miso soup and salad, which were good. It would be better with a small bowl of rice. I also tried the deluxe bento with Korean BBQ ribs. I enjoyed the ribs and felt their cooked food might be better than raw. The staff were really nice and polite. They brought out items we requested, and never rushed us. Great customer service. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating for big and small groups. They had some weekly specials and a happy hour menu (4-6pm), but nothing on the happy hour menu appealed to me. I visited SoHo Sushi with friends from work for lunch. We enjoyed the food, the staff, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I ordered a Crab sushi roll which came with a verity of sauces and it was delicious. The size was perfect as I was hungry! Took a B52 to go at 1:30pm. The "Scallops" were cut to transparency on the top, the spicy tuna paste mostly tasted of cumin, and the lemon slices inside the roll were cut thick enough that I had to pull them out and re-tuck the roll as they were simply too stiff for sushi. I could make peace with that for an $8 to $14 roll, but they were asking $18.75 and delivering the quality of a grocery store sushi. I might return in the future to give them another shot at dinner time, but it wouldn't be with family or friends. read more

I've ordered food from soho sushi both in person and online a handful of times. I have never had a bad meal here. My favorite appetizer is the stuffed jalapeños! They're always prepared the same and never fail to be delicious. I wish I had pictures of the food but it's gone already!! Today I was ordering myself a birthday sushi dinner and wrote a note on the receipt asking for extra ginger for the occasion. They wrote me a birthday note back and gave me plenty of ginger!!!
