Since June 2010 I have been a regular customer, over the years you have all served me with courtesy a smile and exceptional customer service. You have supplied me with bare root roses, compost, tinned food, top name cosmetics at discount prices, stationary, light bulbs, cards, dvds, pillows, and kitchenware which represents just a fraction of what is on offer. This wonderful buzzing place attracts just about everyone in the area, which reminds me of a miniature version of Morleys, without the beds! Well you provide something that this department store does not have, a Post Office! which opened in 2018 and is a godsend. Also since June 2019 I have managed to source number of items that have contributed to plastic reduction and saved money! For example 5 litres of washing up liquid at £3.99, I dispense into just one bottle, so far has lasted nine months! 5 litres of disinfectant at £3.99, and the Duzzit Greener Cleaner Cellulose Sponge, 100% environment friendly, made from wood pulp and recycled fibre, a pack of two for 99p is actually cheaper than on-line. The dedicated staff have all risen magnificently to the recent COVID19 crisis, working tirelessly to keep the shelves stocked, and I must add that some recent baseless accusations of 'profiteering' are completely without any foundation, and has hammered the morale. The staff should not be used as a verbal punch bag, the suppliers are to blame. Muslim Jaffa and his team who have run Kristal for nearly forty years, I know from conversation that everything stocked is sold at a very modest profit margin, the recent surge in prices for particular items - some as much as four times the pre Corona crisis is dictated by the supplier. Muslim who cares so much about the reputation of Kristal, has always been very transparent about pricing and on occasion has shown invoices to customers to prove he is not profiteering. I wish to acknowledge how wonderful the vast majority of customers are, and that so many have recently volunteered to make prescription deliveries while one of the drivers has self isolated. To everyone in our local community that has volunteered you are providing a vital potentially life-saving service.
