The welcome from the staff was friendly and we were shown to our table straight away and left with the wine list. Whilst not extensive, there are a number of Greek wines to choose from so we tried the Makedonikos, a medium dry white wine that went quite well with our food. Of course, being a Greek restaurant we had to start with a mezze, and there's certainly plenty to choose from here. We tried a small variety of dishes including the calimari, tzatziki and hummus, all of which were delicious. Next, the selection of main courses provides plenty of choice and we both decided to try the Stifado, a favourite of mine since I first tried it in Cyprus a few years ago. The beef is so well cooked here until it is really tender and just falls apart on your fork and the sauce is full of flavour. Highly recommended :) My only comment on the restaurant itself is that, although they've tried to capture the essence of Greece, it's not *quite* there yet. The lighting seemed just a bit too bright and behind the decor, the resturant seems just a bit too modern for a traditional Greek taverna. Hopefully this will change over time as the restaurant develops a bit more character - it is still quite new after all. Otherwise, the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be going back. :)

Those were also delicious (the serving sizes weren't large, although certaily sufficient) and the hummus was probably the best we've ever tasted. The pita bread was warm and very tasty. The two servers were *super*-nice young guys. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive, with lots of art and some photos on the walls. Also, the restroom was spotless. Note that the restaurant is located in Didsbury (just down the street from the entrance to the Old Parsonage Gardens).

Located in front of The Didsbury pub and a short walk away from my favourite Botanical garden (Fletcher Moss) this intimate Greek foodie haven is already a favourite with the locals. All the Tapas looked delicious so we decided (between the 4 of us) to go for the 8 for £40 deal and add more if necessary. Predictably My favourites included Lamb chops, Mussels and Funghi in blue cheese sauce. Admittedly this particular visit was more about catching up with friends rather than focusing on food. This meant that amidst flowing conversation the Tapas was gone before we knew it and our collective recollection of the food was hazy at best. (The Vino didn't help) Look out for a more detailed review after the next visit. All in all the vibe was fantastic though and I highly recommend this place for a quiet intimate dinner.
