My son has been asking to go to a pawn shop for quite some time as he has never been to one. I took him to Solar Loan and Sales for his first experience. The store is tidy with a lot of stuff! After looking around for a few minutes, my son had his eye on a handheld gaming system. The owner came to assist us once he was done with his other customers. He was extremely friendly and got a kick out of the fact that it was my son's fort time in a pawn shop. After deciding on the game system he wanted, the owner then took the time to teach my son how to negotiate on items, even though my son was ready to just throw his money at him. It was a very kind thing the owner did for my son. He saved him money even though he didn't have to. I highly recommend Solar Loan and Sales to anyone for their selection, but especially for the way they treat people. For what it's worth, I overheard a few customer interactions, so treating people kind and fair was just not limited to my son. read more

I liked nothing about my experience with this pawn broker; not only did I get a look of disdain when I walked into the shop with my item, he also did not honor the price that he quoted me in writing, saying that it "was obviously used more" than I had said it was... I simply could not believe how rude he was to me, or the look on his face, as if I was trying to pass off a piece of poop for a diamond..!! He appeared as though irritated, as if I interrupted him, and seemed straight pissed off that I dare bring this item to him (it was a high dollar brand new Bosch tool)... I will never come here again, and I highly recommend that you do not either - I will sing my un-praise to the mountain tops!!! read more
