After such a long journey, all they wanted was a safe, comfortable place to rest -- instead, they were given a room with a broken door lock. Maintenance came to "fix" it, and it broke again within three minutes. When she went to the front desk for help, Tyler told her there were "no other units available" in a huge resort with hundreds of rooms. He even said, "It's on the second floor -- it's not like someone will walk in." That is absolutely unacceptable. A woman traveling with her young child should never be told to "just deal with" an unlocked door -- especially after flying halfway across the world. And the lock wasn't the only problem. The room was in terrible condition: A fist-sized hole in the bedframe A dishwasher hanging out of the cabinet A filthy, disgusting balcony that clearly hadn't been cleaned And generally rundown, unsafe conditions throughout When she pointed these issues out, staff claimed these were "not reasons" to move her. She ended up having to pay for another hotel (SpringHill Suites) that same night, just so her family could feel safe. This is not just bad service -- it's a complete failure of basic safety and hospitality standards. Refusing to relocate a family because they "booked through a third party" is an excuse, not a justification. If you value your safety or even basic respect, do not stay here.

The 3 bedroom unit that we had was beautiful for the most part with two deep soak tubs in it. However, Out of all 3 TV's in the house only 1 worked for our entire stay. The shower drained cover was broken and the ice maker didn't work. I reached out to the front desk and was just told to play around with the remote as If I had not already done that initially. The location is pretty deserted so I do recommend having a vehicle or renting one for your stay. We were placed in a third floor unit which can be a bit cumbersome with luggage so if you have any mobility limitations definitely be sure to voice that at the time of check in. The mattress in our unit desperately needs to be replaced it was like sleeping on box springs its was so thin and squeeky. When I go on vacay and am anxious to get back home before the vacay is even over that's definitely a red flag. This property has potential but I don't see myself referring them to anyone time soon.

After leaving voicemail. We never received not even one call back. The WhatsApp replies back in Spanish and stopped replying after I asked for someone who can speak English. * I had to call Marriott Homes & Villas to be able to get transferred to a live person that speaks English and can help. * We made the deposit via Zelle after we got on a call with the property manager and got the instructions but, we kept receiving texts and emails that the deposit was not made. * We were not provided a code to access the property, and we had to call to get it but we were told that we needed to make a deposit. We spent some time on the phone and on the street in front of the property waiting for the code. * The Door lock with the touch keypad was out of battery we had to get the code for a box with the 2 physical key. * Only one key worked the other key did not work so we couldn't leave the property as 2 or more groups to do different things. We all had to be together with the one working key. * The entrance was filthy. I informed the lady (Property manager) on the phone and send her photos with via Text messages to prove it. We were promised that someone will come clean it but no one showed up. * Upon accessing the Property, it was in an acceptable condition not super clean * The internet service (Wi-Fi in this case) was very, very slow and unusable (I tested and got 0.7 Mbps.) * The cellular signal inside the property was super weak (That is not under the properties control but with the Wi-Fi not being reliable our communications had to be done by stepping outside the house rather that inside (using WhatsApp or other Internet based apps) * We agreed to pay $90 for pool heating (we agreed to it late in the day and had to be activated on the 2nd day) we were told it takes up to 8 hours to heat the pool. In fact, it took almost a day and a half to become slightly worm. * The box next to the front door for Garbage collection will only fit one bag. There was no place for Empty boxes and other stuff. We end up having to take them with us and through them away in a dumpster. * We left on the 16th but on the 24th they said that 2 of the sheets has a spot and they need to send it to professional cleaning I did not agree to it as I have no way of telling that they are not just trying to take more money. We booked a vacation and they did not check their pricing so they canceled. They said that it was airbnb fault but they can check airbnb all the time to see their pricing. I am a host and I often check my listing and update it even if it over a year out. When Julie messaged me and told me the price was incorrect and she should have honored the price and she did not.

If zero stars were an option i would have given a zero!…read moreThree years in a row we booked a home here (10 months in advance) for an extended weekend for the half Ironman triathlon race at Haines city. The location to the race is perfect and the homes are exactly the size we needed. The issue is with the new management company that took over, Tropical Escape Vacation Homes. Since they have taken over our reservation has yet to be honored. Last year they tried to cancelled our reservation 1-2 weeks to our arrival date and then after many complaints they tried to push us in a significantly smaller house than what we reserved. Eventually manamagent found us a house at the last minute. Th is year they called us Wednesday night before Thanksgiving to tell us the home we were reserved in had plumbing issues and they needed to cancel. We requested a call back from a supervisor or manager and never heard back. They simply outright cancelled us. They claim the home has plumbing issues but it was available for rent the week before and the week after. Amazing how the predicted plumbing issues are just the weekend we are scheduled to be there. We think they overbooked and the fact that we reserved ten months in advance or are a repeat customer doesn't matter to them. We had to scramble to find a home in another community. Next year we will not even bother trying this one and I suggest others do the same. They are untrustworthy, liars, don't hold to their own contracts, and unreliable.
