Peter and the crew are absolutely ALL of the hype previously stated! I have 6 skylights installed over the course of 2 yrs. 5 out of the 6 were installed with absolutely no issues however there 6th... YIKES!! Long story summarized, turns out a previous roof job (thanks to the ice storm of the century) done by another company a few weeks prior to this installation was done horribly rushed and incorrect (sloppy is more accurate). Given leaks appeared immediately after this install I naturally assumed it was Daylight Rangers fault. After calling Peter and informing him of the leak he immediately showed up to assess. Peter immediately identifying the issue was NOT one he had created and willingly offered to fix the job correctly (*insert mind blown emoji here!!). Super Peter ACTIVATE! Watching Peter work was like watching Michael Jordan at his PRIME!! Every detail, every angle, every crevasse was attended to perfection. Peter moved like 3 men half his age, in their prime with previous gymnast experience! After several hours of being completely and totally IN AWE at watching a master at work (just peaking in as not to disturb his Jedi flow) I wouldn't of been surprised at him doing a back flip of the roof, sticking the landing and King Kong chest pounding when the job was done!! I cannot state enough how INCREDIBLE this company is. Honor, integrity, craftsmanship, attention to detail... this man no doubt is touched by God himself and I am truly grateful our paths intertwined. After moving in, we realized there were some dark areas in the house, mainly in the hallway and guest path, that needed some type of natural light. Peter came over and spent over a hour with my wife and I giving us some options on bringing in some natural light. We loved his ideas and decided to move forward. They came less than a week later, installed 4 Solatubes and an attic fan, and did so with a level of expertise and speed I rarely see in the home improvement world. We had a great experience with Daniel estimating and installing our two new Solatubes. He's is very skilled and a hard worker, and prompt. Flora in the office was great about sending text messages and emails reminding us of our appointments. It was a little over a week from the estimate to the installation being completed. Our living room used to look like everyday was overcast but now it has a lot of natural light, even without the ceiling light fixture turned on. I dont often write reviews but I felt it important to give credit to a team that really went the extra mile helping my problem. I called DR originally to get a quote on a replacement for a solartube I had from another company that i felt was leaking. I was given a date and Carlos came out on time to examine my issues and provide a quote. I explained to Carlos that the main issue I was having was a leak and I felt it was the solartube. I even had a roofer come out who couldn't figure out the leak issue! Carlos thoroughly went around the existing unit and was able to discover that it wasn't necessarily the tube with the issue but the overall install of the inferior product and the decking. Our original house owner had a "handy man" who tended to self repair instead knowing his limits on his expertise, Due to our original owner much many repairs/installed products in our house were done partially and often have problems (leaking roof/completely out code installs), so this situation was familiar and did not surprise me. I had also done research prior to calling and there are a few brands of solartubes that are sold by big box stores that have a range of issues like non-metal flashings, they tend to leak etc. It is no surprise these big box stores will NOT provide contractors to install these inferior tubes due to the problems related to them(this should be a major red flag why you should stick to the high end models and pay independent contractors like DR a little more for less headaches). After identifying the issues Carlos said i needed roof work more than my tube replaced and they could help repair the roof (he was able to immediately identify the poor install/decking issue). Carlos scheduled another tech out who helped him repair the area. I was so impressed that Carlos was more concerned about resolving my actual problem (the leak) rather than making more money installing a new tube. His exact words, "I mean I can put in a better product with better light but your primary problem is a roof problem". Honesty mostly doesnt exist these days so its nice to know they were on my side. They performed some repairs but still had some concerns about the decking and had scheduled me with one more tech to examine the decking to make sure the repair they performed was acceptable. The final visit, Peter, the decking expert came out and offered to repair an additional decking issue for a very reasonable price. After talking things over with peter I decided to get the decking fixed + the new tube for the additional light advantages, the nightlight feature and the additional cover option since we get hail. Peter completed the repair and new install within 2-3 hours and did a great job . Peter even took the time to show me how to replace the batterys in the internal solarnight light that provides a nice light at night. The newer product is vastly superior for light quality and the install was done top notch. The pricing was very reasonable for they time they spent with me to truly understand and solve my problem. Im happy to report after the recent rains in the last 3-4 days no more leak. My wife and I were very satisfied with the install and care provided. We highly recommend Daylight Rangers! read more

We had them come out for a quote early this year, then went to their showroom. We weren't sure if a solartube would give us enough light, and were skeptical until we saw their ones on display. I had an amazing experience with Daylight Rangers/Solatube. I had two installed in my living room which had not even one window. At first the light was so intense I asked them to come back and modifty it and they absolutely did just that. It's really wonderful to walk into a room that was so dark in the daytime and have great natural light. I can have plants now. You get none of the heat transfer you get with a skylight the area is always cool in the summer. I bought the light kit to add on and the dimmer and the electrician totally messed up the tube but Mr Swanson the owner fixed it back good as new. I dealt with Flora from the office and she explained everything and spend so much time making sure I got the look exactly as I wanted it. Everyone was kind and generous with their time... exactly what you hope for when heading out on a new venture. I want more... hallway, kitchen, panty, bathroom..... the staff and employees are great the all of the advice was easy to understand, I wouldn't buy anywhere else. The solatube light did not work out for us. It was not put in the right place, and it was shining light on our ceiling fan, causing a strobe effect which was very annoying. So, we contacted Daylight Rangers after the install, and Peter came out to assess the situation. He agreed to remove the light, patch the ceiling and roof, and not charge us anything. This was very awesome that they would do this. Peter decided to put one of the solar attic fans in the same flashing that the solatube light fit to demo it for me. I was sold. He installed the 1600. Went to Solatube.com because I was interested in having some installed in my house. Their website was promoting a "free installation at participating dealers" offer and did not mention any restrictions or minimum purchase. So I clicked the link, put in my zip code, and this company's details came up as the only result in this area. I went to their website and arranged for an estimate. I was called by them today to confirm the time and I mentioned the promotion. The man I spoke to said he was unaware of it but would honor what the website said. He then called back and backpeddled, saying that he couldn't honor it because they weren't a "participating dealer." I explained to him that Solatube.com's website indicated that they were and that if they were not prepared to honor the deal, I would not be doing business with them. I then hung up on him because he kept interrupting me. Shortly thereafter, I was called by one of the "owners" of the company who attempted to again explain their company's position. She seemed annoyed that I "questioned their integrity" and that the problem was with Solatube, not them. Honestly, I don't really care and as the customer, it's not my problem. It's their problem with Solatube. She kept interrupting me to complain about Solatube and how they were angry at them for implying that they were participating, and whined about how if they honored that promotion they wouldn't make any money. I again cut her off to say that the reason I was interested in having them install the product was due to the promotion and if they were not prepared to honor it, I would not be doing business with them. Honestly, I have had such abysmal customer service in the last 4-5 years or so that I thought that nothing could surprise or rattle me anymore, but this did. I just thought people should know that if they are expecting Daylight Rangers to honor this promotion from Solatube, they should look elsewhere! We had three solatubes installed in our home in Denton two years ago. Two of these have the light fixtures inside and utilized existing holes in the ceiling. The solatubes really do brighten up the areas where they were installed, even on cloudy days. We don't really have to use artificial lighting in those areas during the day anymore. If they were any brighter I'd have to wear sunglasses indoors. We have had zero problems with our solatubes. The office staff were clear about scheduling appointments for a quote, an installation time, and an alternate time if there were bad weather (it was thunderstorm/tornado season). The person providing the quote and the installer showed up on time as expected. The installation price was exactly the quote we received, and the installer took his time to do the job right ("measure thrice, cut once"...our dogs weren't happy that he was here for so long, but they got over it). Additionally, he was super attentive to keeping the house clean and vacuuming up even the dust created. I have recommended Daylight Rangers to my neighbors who have asked about solatubes. read more
