My son had orthodics from a previous podiatrist. Why do we need more? Also, he stated there were some exercises my son could do. However, he never showed him the exercises. He did not ask us to bring the orthodics to the second appointment. However, he asked about them. He told me to call the insurance and could not explain why you call the insurance company. I had to give examples of why I would be calling before he stated to call to see if the orthopedics were covered. First clue or third that something wasn't right was when he asked what insurance we had. Lastly, he does not shake hands with patients. He does this fist bump thing which I find very insulting. Anyway my 17yr old asked to get a second opinion. So we will be going somewhere else.. Warning, skip this office. Go somewhere else. We are. He is friendly, and cuts a Dad joke or 2 with the visit. He is knowledgeable and professional at the same time. That praise includes his staff. He is a doctor who returns phone calls even on weekends, He will research solutions for your specific issue before he refers you to another specialist. My legs were blowing up with water retention (lymphoma) , then he recommended a provider for leg compressions. Best advise ever. My swelling is down and my color is returning to almost normal. And Medicare pays for it. He also helped my son with nerve issues, by sending him to a trusted professional, who helped him get a break from the pain. Dr. Zager is the real deal.
