Chill place with good coffee and matcha drinks. The limited pastries they offer are pretty big and delish. I usually stop by when I'm getting my car serviced as it's just a short distance away. It's a relaxing atmosphere and I see some people working on their laptops. The place is spacious with some tables, benches, high table and small bar area. My fave is the Monkey Matcha ($7.50) which has banana cream. It goes so well with matcha. I have gotten the latte with banana cream as well as this is excellent too. The croissants here are huge. I like the matcha one. With good AC, spacious area, light music, excellent matcha n coffee and delish snacks, this is a very cool place to visit n chill or maybe get some work done. read more

Their " pour over" is not actually a pour over. Although their menu specifically says V60 pour over, and I seen their V60 on the counter, it was not used. They used a drip machine that has "pour over features". I called this to the barista's attention but she said they use their pour over machine for their pour overs... The name solid coffee matches the solid drinks sold here. The last time I tried this place, they had different cups and I don't remember it being too great. Decided to give it a try again, and it did not disappoint. The barista was kind enough to recommend his favorites and let me know that the uji tea cream top was similar to a hojicha latte. I tried it and loved it because it had a nice, sweet and nutty flavor. My mom tried the matcha meadow, and we both liked how light the lavender taste was. The lavender did not overpower the matcha. I also really like cafes that do house-made syrups, so this was a plus! While waiting for our drinks, I noticed there was a lot of seating and it seemed pretty quiet. This seems like a good study spot for those that want to focus without the hustle and bustle of a busy cafe. Keep in mind though, I did come on a weekday afternoon. The only downside I would say is that the price is pretty steep for a small cup of matcha/tea-- at $7.50 for a cup that looks smaller than a 16 oz. The flavor is there, but the price for an upsize would be an additional $1.25 equal to around $9 for a cup of coffee/matcha/tea. It was moderately busy at the time with a brief wait before ordering. There were various seating arrangements that were accommodating to smaller and larger groups. My husband and I have been going around to a bunch of coffee shops recently and he has recently purchased an espresso machine, so he needed beans and therefore we came here lol. The service was really, really friendly! We were browsing beans right when we got into the store, and the cashier at the front noticed us doing so and gave us a sample of one of the bag of beans we were staring at! We got to chatting with her a bit about our latest espresso machine purchase and various bean flavors. We picked up a 20oz bag of Shubuta beans because it was the safest options (neither of us are that familiar with different coffee notes/flavorings) which was around $20. We also got a large vanilla bean latte for $7.20 + tax, and a free house brewed coffee with check-in. We really didn't like the house brewed coffee all that much, unfortunately, but I think this is a matter of preference. Neither of us just drink black coffee straight up without milk or a bit of sugar. The vanilla bean latte was solid. It was hot, slightly sweet, but there was a bitterness to it that I didn't love. I thought it was fine, and certainly pricey for what it was. Would still like to come back to try their other coffee or tea lattes in the future, though. I have been a solid customer since 2019. I have loved their coffee and make the drive to come get the best dark chocolate mocha! Today we tried the 4 cheese burrito. It was delicious! The sun dried tomato sauce made this a new staple for our order. I hadn't been here in awhile but I decided to pop in since in was eating next door and was just curious. This place has gone through a transformation since the many moons I've been here! The store is very unassuming on the outside but the ambiance inside is modern and cozy--very aesthetic overall. The menu is pretty large with a large variety of seasonal, signature, and classic coffees alongside a variety of teas. They also have light breakfast items on their menu which sounded delicious as well. I ordered the sencha cold brew (which is a summer seasonal item) and my husband ordered the v60 pour over. It was served surprisingly quick and not overly sweet. - Lox Bagel: You can ask for only 1 side, but for 2 it costs $18, which I found to be a bit pricey. The bagel was not toasted, but the ingredients were high quality and well-seasoned with a nice addition of freshly cracked black pepper. I opted in and order the $5 breakfast sando with a cup of Peppermint mocha latte. Peppermint mocha is sometimes a hit or miss for me. Especially when they use an unpopular brand of syrup, it tastes very artificial. The Barista recommended me to try theirs because he said the make their own mocha syrup. He was right, it was delicious! The coffee was also was very smooth. I will consider by a bag of the coffee bean next time I go. The breakfast to my surprise was above average. The ciabetta bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My friend ordered the Vanilla Bean Latte and the Fancy Ham and cheese sandwich. He said it was delicious as well. Coffee is solid here not trying to be funny at all. They roast delicious coffee beans and serve good quality espresso drinks. I was really bummed when they closed down their location in Bellflower. It was my go to spot on the weeks that I was at the hospital. Today I was excited to try the purple dream ube latte. This is made with ube extract not that fake plasticity stuff. Daniel the barista made the perfect drink for me. I really appreciated him for stopping to make make sure that I was happy with my drink. I wanted it less sweet and he got it spot on.
