I am blown away by what I've seen from its members in the last decade or so. This year alone, I have been mercilessly harassed by MULTIPLE (4) members of this congregation. I am a public middle school teacher who gave my students book trailers for 65 books in our (board-approved) school library. Because 4 of those books had queer characters, rather than addressing concerns to the actual school board that had approved the books, or talking to me personally, 4 members of this church went INSANE in spreading hate and harassment about me online. The posts and comments made by members of this church were chilling. A friend in the community is the one who finally realized that Grace Church was the common denominator in all of the hate-filled rhetoric. Obviously, there are different interpretations of the Bible -- there are mainline denominations and more conservative ones like Grace, that teach a literal interpretation of certain Bible passages. That's not the issue... the issue is that this seems to have become a breeding ground for contempt in a way that is antithetical to the gospel. I had some great memories of this place as a kid at church camp, but as an adult, I found the teachings to increasingly focus on creating an extreme Us/Them dichotomy that enflames people already leaning towards racism, homophobia, and othering on their own. It has broken my heart to watch this and to experience it firsthand.

Religion and politics can never be separated. We must fight to preserve our culture and traditions in the face of them being threatened with extermination. It is churches like Grace that will fight for and protect our rights as Christian American citizens. This church has a backbone. The courage is admirable and I'm extremely proud to be a part of this congregation. I finally feel like there is a Godly community where we can band together to fight for what is right and Holy during this spiritual warfare. God bless this church. It is a powerhouse that God is working through.

The Bible says wide is the path that leads to destruction and narrow is the way that leads to life. It matters what Church you go to. Go to a lukewarm Church at your own peril. This Pastor clearly points you to the narrow way. Highly recommend it. We go here whenever we visit this city.

Don't get me wrong, element church is great, pastor erik seriously cannot be topped and his love for element goes far. unfortunately, i left this church, even though i used to drive 45 minutes (because of how much i loved it) due to the overwhelming amount of conversation on MONEY! so.. much.. giving! don't get me wrong, giving to the church is incredible. but talks about money would go for at least 30 minutes at element. made the people that couldn't afford to always give feel terrible, and guilty. I love the old element, but when half the sermon became about giving and thousands of dollars of "goals to expand" it felt less like a church and more like a charity.

Its a more traditional worship service (which my husband and I love) and many of its congregants have older children or are emtpy nesters but we LOVE it when we have younger families (and we do have a few) and people bring their grandchildren. We have a great little Sunday school program called Sonshine kids and an amazing choir! We welcome EVERYONE. Come and join us! Services are Sundays at 10am. And on Sun 10/30/22 we'll be having a community wide Trunk or Treat event for fun, free and SAFE trick or treating for the kiddos and prizes for the best decorated car!

There are many religions and beliefs out there and just because someone doesn't believe in your "god" or doesn't believe in god at all doesn't mean there's no point to their life. For the moment I walked in the door the people are so inviting and welcoming. This didn't surprise me as I have known of this church since the early 90's and they have been a strong presence in the STL area and support some great people and organizations. Pastor Greg and Diane Perkins will do a fantastic job as the lead pastors. They will take WCAG Church to new heights and make an even bigger impact in their community and around the world.
