So we pointed to a few things that looked good and took a seat while they warmed it up and brought it over. I chose a stuffed baked bread thing with sesame seeds. It was amazingly delicious and completely not keto. My friend chose a fried chicken breast with some sauteed vegetables. Also delicious. With the beer, we had a super lunch that gave us the energy to continue exploring Palermo. A little bit of trouble with the credit card machine (yeah, no surprise there) and we were able to get past the language barrier just fine with pointing. While we were here, they got a big queue of folks for some sort of "loose meat" sandwich. I'd try that next time. [Review 12826 overall, 141 of 2020.]

It's delicious Sicilian specialties, plus pizza, which - see photos - you order and eat on the street. I was after some Panelle, chickpea fritters, which are on all the "must eat" lists. They had several items with it. I used the google camera translator and found one with mushrooms - funghi. Plus something with mozzarella and eggplant. Everything was so inexpensive - 2 or 3 euros, that I thought they'd be little tastes, like a $16 San Francisco appetizer. Wrong! Each was enough for a meal. Big sandwiches - see photos, 7 euros would easily feed two people. Tasty, authentic and quite a scene. PS On the way out I noticed a big pot of what I thought was a chocolate dessert. Wrong again! Spleen! In the last photo. I'm not partial to spleen, but it was very popular.

Street food and not just frites or potato fries. Passami Ù Coppu has a bunch of different arancine stuffed with a variety of things. Our food tour stopped here and everyone chose different fillings, from ragu to cheese and chicken. I decided to go with the traditional Sicilian, which was stuffed with sardines. Fresh and hot and yes, fishy. But that's what sardines are so I can't say that I didn't get what I wanted. Great street food and later after the tour, we stopped back here and picked up some Sicilian chocolates to bring home as gifts. [Review 12796 overall, 110 of 2020.]

A great place to try Sicilian street food!…read more They have an extensive menu which is all in Italian, with a photo of each option. If you require an English menu, just ask at the pay register. It was a bit hectic getting our choices as the place was packed. But the staff were really friendly and helpful. They also serve alcohol and have a couple seating areas inside and outside. We were a bit out of sorts ordering and grabbing our food, but it happened by chance the owner was there and he was very accommodating to us, getting us a food tray and bowl of dipping sauce. It was delicious food as well. And the Cannoli was awesome! It was flakey and easy to eat, unlike other s we tried.
