After getting three estimates, I selected Sologic Solar to replace my SolarEdge inverter that had failed. One of the reasons I chose them was my conversation with the owner, Blake. They also had the best price and were available the soonest to replace the inverter. He seemed genuinely interested in helping solve the problem and did not try to upsell additional panels or equipment. Since the original installer of my system is no longer in business, I also needed to transfer the system monitoring to a new company. Blake helped move the monitoring over to Sologic Solar so the system can be properly monitored going forward to ensure it's performing at its best and to identify any future issues. I found Blake to be very honest and trustworthy throughout the process. I also had them wash my solar panels to help improve performance. We kept receiving an Error message on our solar inverter which we inherited from the previous owners of our home. The company that installed the panels is no longer in business, so we put out a message into the Yelp universe to find a team to help with repair/review of our issue. Blake was the first to respond. He was friendly, professional, and to the point. He was able to make out within 2 days and was extremely communicative the entire time. He helped to resolve the issue - he inspected our inverter, went up to the roof and inspected all of our panels. He was able to connect and clean up the wiring on the roof, which immediately fixed the issue. He also gave us a few tips to help reset the inverter in a pinch. He was extremely informative when answering all of my questions both via Yelp, text, and in person. In addition, he helped us fix our garbage disposal the same day (a man of all talents!) which we had been trying to remedy, but hadn't been able to fix ourselves. We would refer him to any of our friends. He is a rare find - honest, professional, extremely friendly, and genuinely wants to help. It's hard to find people who are willing to help you help yourselves - Blake is one of those people. We had a nasty pigeon problem under our solar panels. I sent out a request via Yelp and got 4 or 5 replies. Let me give you the synopsis of each: 1. Bidder one: Let's have a long phone call to discuss other solar options on your 3 year old panels - NO I just want pigeon netting. Oh we'll get you a quote in about 48 hours...if we don't forget about you. 2. Bidder two: I sent you an email to discuss. 3. Bidder three and four: Oh wow, this is just a lot. We need to set up a time to come talk about setting up a time to actually create a quote and then another appointment to execute the work...we are so so busy. [Translation: We want to see your net worth so we can up-charge the quote and see if you're serious in about 2 weeks] 4. Bidder Five: Sologic - After leaving a message, Blake called me back in 5 minutes and we discussed the situation over the phone using Google Maps. He gave me an accurate price estimate based on reasonable assumptions. He even gave me a date to come do the work - THIS is what I was looking for! Blake kept me updated on the date for service, weather permitting and he showed up. All without time consuming meetings and drudgery. He simply came and fixed the issue for a fair price. Additionally, he cleaned the solar panels. They showed up ready to go to work, communicated every step of the way (6+ hours), and their vehicles did not leak oil all over my driveway (a bonus). About panel cleaning: Yes I've had it done before, but everyone who comes to clean the gutters or the windows wants a shot at cleaning the panels. Sologic in my opinion is worthy of the fees because they know solar systems and most importantly they use a 3-stage water purifier in their work (no spots or scratchy hard water deposits). The panels look amazing! After two days, the pigeon netting has made a major difference. This should have been installed by the original (now out of business) solar installer. Do yourself a favor and hire an expert like Blake who knows solar systems and uses professional equipment. The $50 or $100 you save using a non-expert operating a soapy RV brush and blasting debris down the side of your house is not worth it! read more

Just had Blake come out and wash our windows. They look fantastic! He is easy to work with and is accommodating to my schedule. He even alerted me about an issue with one of my windows that I was unaware of. Would definitely use him again. Although I loved the work that was performed, be wary of the pricing. The quote I received was $10 per window/slider. It actually turned out to be $10 per window pane. So a standard window that had one stationary window and one that slides counted as 2 windows. So it was actually $20 per standard window/slider Also, as a side note. I actually called him for a Solar System problem. Blake seemed knowledgeable and on top of things when he sold us a roofing and solar package. He told us it would all get done in a matter of months. Well, we are almost at month 5 and it's a disaster. Be aware he contracts with LA Solar, which is a horrible company to deal with -- almost seems like scammers since they take your money and don't do anything. Sologic Solar/Cobalt is apparently the middle man/salesman. So Blake was promising us things for a company he doesn't even work FOR, it's a company he works WITH. When we paid our deposit, we were surprised to have to pay to LA Solar rather than to Sologic/Cobalt. After 3 months of zero communication and zero progress, we decided to cancel. All Blake could do was push the people at LA Solar to respond to us because they don't respond to us directly. It's been a month since we've asked to cancel and we've just been in a back and forth with Blake and LA Solar with no progress in getting our tens of thousands of dollars back. Couple of weird things happened in the middle of our project: when we asked to cancel, Blake's Cobalt email started bouncing. We looked up Cobalt's website and it was gone. We had to look him up through different avenues to find out his new Sologic email and contact since he didn't provide it during the switch. Another weird thing is how he made us pay LA Solar and now we have to chase them for our refund, rather than Sologic paying us our deposit back and dealing with LA Solar themselves. So now, we have to chase a company we didn't ask to work with. This is a PSA that although Blake seems nice to work with, it looks like he has no power over the actual work and product delivery or installation. If you go with Sologic Solar, you won't be working with them directly. read more

It was a pleasure working with Blake and his company (formerly Cobalt) from beginning to end. It was refreshing to work with someone totally engaged with the process. He is completely knowledgable about every facet of solar systems, from design considerations, the PGE process for approval and the engineering considerations for a challenging installation. Blake was always at the ready and able to reach out to every department to get the right answers and solutions. I did not find this level of service in other companies.
