Back then my son was in preschool in kindergarten so he didn't really know what was going on but now he's in third grade and he communicates with us perfectly. While looking through his old yearbook together, we stumbled upon this teacher's picture. He said she was very unkind to him with another kid and him were trying to grab an item. He would always give it to the other kid and yell at him . He said he specifically felt singled up by her that she was nice to everybody except him and it was making him very confused but now that he's older and can understand I told him about racism. I told him there's certain people that think they're they're better than others because of their skin color and they like to abuse, helpless little children, while smiling at their occupation, saying that their Christians, that is absolutely disgusting . SHe would always pull him aside and be mean to him while smiling in our faces. My wife thought she was the nicest one there. But she is a racist just trying to cover herself. Christian Heritage Academy you should do better and you should be ashamed of yourself hiring people like that. We trust you with our kids. And we pay you very well for the services. Please get your act together. We are truly disappointed in you 10 thumbs down for you guys.

My wife and I can tell that the teachers are truly concerned about our childrens' education, BUT most importantly, we can tell our boys are growing in the biblical teaching that is shaping them into who they will become as young men. Even though we live in a suburb that has so called 'great schools', what they are learning at CHA is worth the tuition. Its an investment in our children future that you just can't get in a public school. Hands down, CHA is a 'must visit' school if you are looking for Christian based education.

It's a vibrant growing community that recently welcomed in the community of Temple Chai (Long Grove) who had to sell their synagogue. And they've been welcomed it with open arms with the lower level of the synagogue refitted with items from Temple Chai to make their displaced members feel at home. I recently was able to see their Men's Club run a Men's Seder and it was a splendid event! The Cantor from Temple Chai ran the Passover Seder and Temple Beth-El's Rabbi oversaw the proceedings and joined in on the festivities. They welcomed members and non-members alike and I felt as if I was a member despite just paying for the event and not a current member. There was networking/meet-and-greet prior to the dinner and the reading of the Haggadah. Then during dinner we were able to chat with friends new and old and after, the Men's Club President thanked everyone individually. I personally was moved by this gesture that I'll be joining the Men's Club this summer. Temple Beth-El is a welcoming, warm, lovely community that if you're looking for a place to call home and to fit in, this is the place for you.

Some may attribute dissatisfaction to the fact that this church has "liberal" views. I saw nothing liberal or conservative. I heard nothing liberal or conservative. I would be labeled "progressive" for my political views. Please don't insult liberals by calling what happens at this place such. I'm still in a state of disbelief.

It is a very warm place for all and we enjoy attending High Holiday and Shabbat services, as well as many other events throughout the year. We are very good friends with many of the congregants and are honored to be affiliated with such a terrific group of people. There is a great Torah study group on Saturday mornings. The staff who guide and educate the B'nai mitzvah students are well respected within the temple community and do a tremendous job in educating our young people. There are many adult education opportunities. The Israel committee of the temple organizes amazing congregational trips to Israel every two years and this December is the fourth or fifth one, I believe. I went on the 2013 trip and I am going on this year's trip as well. My first trip was packed with sights, experiences, and activities that I will never forget and I can't wait to be part of this year's. I am very happy to be part of the Jewish community at Temple Chai.

The situation was visible to teachers and staff, yet we as parents were never informed about what was happening. Instead of protecting a child who was clearly struggling, the school allowed the behavior to continue and left him to cope with it on his own. What is most concerning is that while our son suffered the consequences of this bullying, the students involved continued to receive recognition and rewards, with no visible accountability for their actions. A school's first responsibility is to provide a safe and supportive environment for its students. In our experience, this school failed to meet that responsibility.

Even though we are not Greek, we've found the most welcoming and inclusive community here--about 20% of the students aren't Greek, and yet everyone is embraced as family. One of the things I've appreciated most, especially when my children were younger, is how naturally they formed relationships with older students. It's a unique environment where kids of all ages interact, and there's a strong culture of mutual respect and kindness across grade levels. Our children take Greek every day and have become impressively fluent--it's amazing to see how confident they are speaking a new language! The class sizes are small, which allows for personalized attention, and the teachers and administrators are truly exceptional--nurturing, dedicated, and highly focused on each child's growth. It's a close-knit community that really supports both students and families. There are plenty of opportunities for involvement, from after-school activities and enriching field trips to school-wide efforts that teach the importance of giving back.
