Terrible customer service. I needed a specialized bra. The first salesperson did not know what I meant so she asked for help. The second associate marched over to the rack without a greeting, or a follow me and said that's what we have. No other help or questions. She was rather rude and seemed put out to help me. The First Lady was nice, just not knowledgeable. I asked if they had other sizes and got a solid nope. Won't be back. I'll shop elsewhere or shop online. read more

I love the Soma products, but I will only buy online from now on. After trying on a size that was too small for me (recommended by an employee) she insisted that I try it on again so she could "check" to be sure it did not fit me before getting me the size I asked for. I would have purchased several bras, but felt uncomfortable that an employee needed to "check me" to be sure I was wearing the bra correctly before giving me a different size. It was an odd and uncomfortable experience. I will not visit the store again, which I am sad about because I really liked the products. read more

This review is no reflection on the quality of Soma products. Soma products are great but I will buy online from now on. The primary complaint I have is the fact that NONE of the staff we wearing masks. One girl had hers on her chin the other three ladies working there didn't even have one on their bodies. I get it, we are all sick of this pandemic and wearing masks sucks but ITS THE LAW in New Mexico. And if I have to wear it then the business employees definitely should. It felt like a rebellion of some kind and it made me exceedingly uncomfortable in many different ways. My other complaint is the sales staff can't be bothered to help you. You feel as though you are bothering them when you ask for a price, etc. My three year old was with me when I was in the store and he pulled out a few size cards from the bra drawers. The sales associate marched over and put them back abruptly saying it was not okay. I apologized for the accident and she gave me the cold shoulder. DO NOT LET THEM LIE TO YOU ABOUT THE BRA RETURN POLICY. It is Soma's return policy that if you purchase a bra, you can return it within 60 days washed and worn with or without the receipt and tags as long as you purchased with your account information attached. They lied and tried to say that it was NOT the policy, so I called customer service and they confirmed that it was the policy. I mailed in my bras and got a full refund. Do not let them take advantage of you, and force you to be stuck with bras that dont work. It is the CORPORATE POLICY. Their store manager is defecting from this policy, and do not let them trick you. I worked for the company and know the rules. read more

Need some bras that will last? Try Soma Intimates. The quality of their products are beyond any bras I've found elsewhere. Have had them for 3+ months and they still look and feel like new. When you walk in, the sales associate will ask you if you need help. Being a first time customer I said, yes, "Please help me. I want to try your brand." She showed me the styles and was able to answer my questions about sizing, wearability, how to wash them and how they hold up over time because she had worn Soma for years. She measured me and I began the trying on process and was in love with the product. The sales associates are extremely helpful and not one bit pushy. I can appreciate that to the max! Thank you Soma. I walked out with 3 bras and a lighter pocket book, but it's totally worth every penny. I will fully agree this is not Fredrick's of Hollywood or Victoria's Secret, nor is it meant to be. It's for real women, looking for real support, and real bras you can wear day in and day out without having them fall apart. I did have to take 1 back because of a minor pull in the fabric. Soma is a national brand associated with Chico's and White House Black Market. This location in Albuquerque Uptown is a medium-sized store with a good selection of standard women's intimate, sleeping, and lounging apparel. I go to Albuquerque (100 miles from my house) about once a month and always try to go in this store to see what's new and what's on sale. The saleswomen in the store are friendly and helpful. If you haven't shopped at Soma before, let them know and they will give you the full rundown. I'm a "platinum" member of the company's rewards program, which has recently changed - unfortunately not for the better. I frequently get a catalog in the mail (sign up online) with coupons for $20 off a $100 purchase. The store is arranged well and the saleswomen find sizes, go to the back to check if they're out of something on the floor, and provide very good attention while customers are in the dressing rooms (different sizes, etc.) Soma's merchandise is high quality and their pricing is not cheap but it is fair - especially during sales. read more

i have recently moved to Santa Fe so of course do my major shopping in ABQ because Santa Fe lacks options. anyway, I used to do my shopping at the Soma located in Seal Beach, California. the staff there were always helpful and friendly. so of course when I went to the ABQ location i was expecting the same level of service, boy was i disappointed. twice i visited within 30 days because I had a return. the first visit the staff could barely be bothered to answer my question about back stock. the sales gal was put out that i was interrupting her stocking activity. however, i made my purchase buying more than i needed because i just wanted to leave their negative vibes. the second time i visited 3 weeks later the staff was inexcusably rude and condescending. I wanted to exchange a bra for a different size. said bra was on sale with an additional reduction. so of course i inquired if I would be receiving a refund since the new bra was less expensive. the cashier said no. i asked if she could check bc, duh, i could return the bra for the price i paid, turn around and purchase the same bra at a reduction. the manager, the MANAGER proceeded to snicker and make comments about me to the cashier. i was livid. i returned said bra and left. i will never, NEV-ERRRRR shop there again. i, like others, will shop online. with staff like the gals i encountered Soma better hope they can keep customers happy online. read more

After spending hours being fitted for a bra and still getting one that rode up my back, I decided to return a bra after one use. I had kept the tags and had the receipt. I was not allowed to return the bra because it "had been worn outside." Even though the return policy says nothing about this! The sales woman was very rude to me and she claimed she was a manager but then couldn't even do a simple return. Will not be going back. The bras are too expensive for this type of return policy and to interact with such incompetent staff. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I was there for 2 HOURS getting sized for a bra. By three different women. I got told three different sizes. I ended up, out of guilt of staying there so long, buying two bras as a sale. I wore one for a day and it fit SOOOOOOO wrong. It hurt and was too large in an area. They should have known this, especially since THREE women were "fitting" me. I tried to return it and explained what happened. They only gave me a gift card. They were going to give me a gift card for the price of both bras! Hello!!! I hate your store, I won't return, put it on my card! They ended up giving me the money from the bra I didn't wear. They weren't apologetic. That just wanted more sales. They told me I could buy something in their store for the amount of one bra. They didn't have a nightgown or something for that price other than bras. I hated their bra, obviously I wasn't going to buy another. They didn't get that. They forced me into trying bras. Then when I wanted privacy in the changing room, a woman kept insisting that she see how it fit. I told her no and she kept INSISTING that she MUST see it since I returned a bra for the wrong size. It was the worst customer service of my entire life. I could not BELIEVE their lack of professionalism and their lack of putting their customer first. Now I have a stupid worthless in store credit for the amount of the first bra. They really should have at least refunded me my money.
