The owner is just the nicest woman who will take as much time as you need to go over the intricate and delicate pieces with you. Every type of jewelry, metal, stone, and glass. I am not a big jewelry person, but my friend and I were able to find such great pieces that people back home have complimented me on. Zero pressure from her to buy anything, and so much to look at each within little cases and so brightly displayed. You can tell the owner is super passionate about her shop and thrilled to show you how to get the most out of your piece. For instance, I purchased a hat for myself and one for my mom to take home. Knowing that many people are here traveling, she has nifty ways to show you how to pack them appropriately as to not be damaged or squished on the plane home. I have this giant hat that will shield me from the sun, and is able to fold up much to look like a vase. My mothers' is one that can be rolled up moreso, and the head size can be adjusted by a string underneath for our small pin heads (lol). I Came home with some lightly hammered circular drop earrings in rose gold, and a beautiful turquoise and coral ring that is adjustable. Each coming from France, in their little dust pockets. If you are looking for pieces that just are dainty or even elaborate, THIS is a must stop!

It definitely is worth visiting. I had a nice time chatting with the owner. I bought a small piece and she told me about the artist who made it and that he lived in the island made all his ceramics by hand. I was a little bit clumsy and almost broke something in her shop but she was very sweet about it. I am sad stores like this are less around and would highly encourage you to visit, try not to break things like I almost did, neither try their hats and take pictures! Lol. They take pride in their store and collection and well deserve the respect.

Very rude owner has literally chased me out of the shop for taking a photo of my partner in a hat…read morebecause there were no mirrors. NO "no photos" signs around either. Has complained about tourists and shouted at me saying "you tourists think that you can do whatever you want when you leave your country". For taking a photo?!! I suggested changing to a business that isn't actually making money on tourists. If only she knew she actually chased out someone very conscious of tourism impact (actual MSc in Ecotourism graduate). I'm not surprised to see other review warning about a rude owner - absolute disgrace! Anyhow, I strongly recommend to avoid this place! Fortunately other people in Mallorca, especially rural, were extremly friendly!

Enough to keep this shop open, which sells jerseys, scarves, jackets, hats and all sorts of other Barcelona gear. Prices are retail. There are few bargains.

The Royal Palace dates back to the 14th century and it was the official residence of the King and Queen during their stays in Mallorca. There is a museum as well as church that one can visit. The palace itself is huge and beautiful and there a plenty of photo opportunities all around. An interesting thing at entry point of the palace; there are lots of vendors all around selling magnets and other knick knacks. It's most likely because they know this is a big tourist spot for folks going to Palma. Be careful though as it looked like there were a lot of imitation goods like fake branded purses, hats and sunglasses. Best to just shop at one of the storefronts. Overall this a good and pretty tourist stop when in Palma.

Originally an Islamic fort, this mighty construction opposite the cathedral was converted into a…read moreresidence for the Mallorcan monarchs at the end of the 13th century. The King of Spain resides here still, at least symbolically. The royal family is rarely in residence, except for ceremonies. The Romans built a fort here, possibly on the site of a prehistoric settlement. The Governors of Muslim Mallorca altered & expanded the Roman original to build their own fort. Jaume I and his successors modified it to such an extent that little of the alcázar remains. After his death, no king lived here permanently. The first narrow room you enter has a black-and-white Mudéjar ceiling, symbolising the extremes of night and day, darkness and light You then enter a series of three grand rooms. Notice the bricked-in Gothic arches cut off in the middle. Originally these three rooms were double their present height and formed one single great hall added to the original Arab fort and known as the Saló del Tinell (from an Italian word, tinello, meaning 'place where one eats'): this was once a giant banqueting and ceremonial hall. The rooms are graced by period furniture, tapestries and other curios. The following six bare rooms and terrace belonged to the original Arab citadel. In the main courtyard, Patio de Armas, troops would line up for an inspection & parade before heading out into the city. The 11th century lion fountain here is one of the palace's rare Arab remnants. Up the grand Royal Staircase are the royal apartments. Next door is the royal Capella de Sant'Anna, a Gothic chapel whose entrance is a very rare Mallorcan example of late Romanesque in rose & white marble.
