I visited several weeks back for a pitstop during a long road trip. It was busy when I was there and I'm glad I stopped. It had been awhile since I've been to a SomeBurros; so I forgot about their "service style". I was the odd lady walking around with a tray trying to figure out where the trashcan was and how to drop off my tray!! I ordered the bean tostada! I love their tostadas and I was excited for the bonus chips/salsa (forgot about that too). Their red salsa is one of my favorites and I definitely smothered my tostada with it! The refried beans at SomeBurros is key - I always opt for the tostada or the kids bean burro. I prefer places like this due to à la carte or kid versions. First time at Someburros for an early lunch with party of four. You order your food and they bring it to your table. I ordered the Borrracho Burrito served with green chili guacamole and sour cream. Your order also comes with chips and salsa. Place was clean, service was great, food was decent and menu had lots of choices. All good here. read more

I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and finally visited while I was shopping at the nearby grocery store. The cashier was quite nice and energetic. The ambience with chill. I ordered a breakfast burrito, and my friend ordered an item which we thought it was OK. it was an authentic Mexican food, but I don't think that was the goal of this place. Not my most favorite place to dine-in but I prefer ordering food online and picking up here for many instances, mainly due to proximity of 1 mile from my home and when we crave for some Mexican food. Not the best Mexican cuisine taste but doesn't fall into lower category as well. Prices are very reasonable and overall recommended for value for the money. Our one attempt to dine-in was not very great. Long queues, late table delivery and you need to ask everything possible as they don't offer from their side. read more

Great service and delicious food! We met some friends here for dinner and were super happy with our first experience at Someburros! I had a machaca beef burrito which was super tender and had so much flavor. My husband had a shredded chicken burrito combo and said the chicken was incredibly flavorful especially when paired with their green tomatillo salsa. The prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes and complimentary chips and salsa while you wait. The restaurant itself was very clean and welcoming. The taco salad was good; fresh ingredients and the salsa that it came with was delicious. The shredded chicken burro combo was just ok. The burro had so much chicken inside. The unassuming stand-alone restaurant serves delicious food on real plates with real flatware. We were very pleased with the quality of Mexican food that we ordered. I had the number one combo - a crispy taco (I ordered ground beef), a cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. My husband had the crudo burrito -- machaca with a tomatillo sauce. We each had a basket of chips with bottles of green and red salsa (spicy and flavorful!). Our lunch was so good!!!!!! Self serve drinks also provide a good selection of choices, including horchata. The restrooms are clean, and the patio is super pleasant and comfortable. We were able to park our RV in the neighboring Fry's. The short walk was actually welcome. This place was on point when they first opened. Everyone was working and busy, quick service, good food. The last few times we tried to order online, the app was closed to online orders or you have to pick a time way out, like 1.5-2 hours later. So we have to go in and order and wait, or go through the drive- through. The food has always been pretty good so we kept coming back, even though we can't order online which is super inconvenient and something would always be missing from the order. Including utensils, despite us asking for them or checking the box online to include utensils. Literally never get them no matter what. One time we brought the food to a park and had no fork to eat rice and beans so we threw them out. This last time we ordered, the online app gave us a time 1.5 hours away, so we went into the store to order. 2 cars in the drive through, 2 customers in the store and 8 teenage girls "running the store," acting like they're at a sleepover party. Total chaos, goofing around... It was ridiculous. Someone obviously turned off the online ordering so they didn't have to deal with customers or work, and could just hang out. Then when we get our food, the tacos are gross- one is broken with food spilling out, one is covered in cilantro all over the outside and had tomatoes in it (we didn't order tomatoes), the other one didn't have cilantro at all... onions were missing from both tacos (we ordered onions). Neither taco had potatoes like we ordered. The whole thing was wrong. The sour cream lid wasn't placed properly and it was ALL over the bag and food. The beans had NO cheese on them, AAANNNDDD no utensils!!! Please hire an ADULT to come and manage this store. It's total chaos!! read more

Ordered 2 red chili burrows, a taco and a green corn tamale. This was a DoorDash delivery. My red chili bureau, the Tortilla was raw, literally raw. The red chili tasted, like it came from a can not homemade? Awful.. the green tour tamale was dry. The ends were almost crispy. Dry, it was horrible. I will never go back again. First time visiting last night. Had one of the combo plates. The taco was good and bland and the tostada shell wasn't fresh and both items had very skimpy ingredients. Except abundance of lettuce. Our other taco combo plate was underwhelming with tacos that were lacking in flavor and skimpy ingredients. The rice, beans, and red salsa were good. This is an order at the counter fast food restaurant but they still force the awkward 15-25% tip screen at you and then stare at you to see if you'll tip them thus aggressive amount for no service attached to it. I've eaten here a couple of times before and thought it was okay, nothing special. Today I went through the drive-thu and ordered the Carne Asada Fundito meal, and at first, it was pretty good--until I took a bite of rice and felt something hard in my mouth. I thought it was just a piece of undercooked rice, but when I took it out, I realized it was actually a fingernail. I was in shock and felt sick to my stomach. I immediately called the restaurant to report what happened. They apologized and issued a refund, but honestly, that doesn't make up for the fact that I chewed on someone else's fingernail. It's beyond disgusting and has left me feeling extremely uneasy. I usually don't leave reviews but I just want to warn others about this. Love that they have tap beer with fresh limes! Shredded beef was a bit too greasy other than that we enjoyed our food. I had heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to try it for sometime. The place was crowded and there was a line so those were two good indicators. I ordered a carne asada burrito and didn't know it would come with beans. I was okay with the beans but there was not enough carne asada. The burrito ingredients from most to least, consisted of tortilla, beans, and carne asada: in that order. The carne asada itself was flavorful but probably will not order this again. I will give this restaurant another try in the future but it's hard not drive a little south to Happy Valley to Mesquite where the portion sizes and carne asada flavor are excellent. read more

We anxiously awaited the opening of this location - Mexican food, margaritas, and drive thrus are a few of my favorite things. We've tried it twice - once drive thru, once eating in - and it was actually fairly underwhelming and expensive. Even without ordering a margarita, the prices at this drive thru/counter service restaurant rival a sit down. If the food was amazing, maybe it would be worth it. The shredded chicken is pretty good, but we didn't care for the shredded beef, the beans, or the salsa. Is it salsa or is it hot sauce? I can't say for sure, it's served as salsa, but tastes like hot sauce. Dipping chips in hot sauce isn't for me. Margaritas are decent - frozen regular or strawberry - might be good to do a drive thru and then hit the pool. Not going to be a regular stop, though. read more

Was zipping over to meet my daughter as her school for lunch . I thought about Chik Fil A but decided Someburros line was shorter and give it a whirl. I ended up grabbing a Carne Asada burrito combo with rice and beans for myself. My daughter prefers Tacos with rice and beans plus churro! Added two horchatas to wash it down. I was pleasantly surprised. The carne was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. The rice wasn't dry at all and the refried beans hit the spot. I'm a stickler for dry carne and rice but these were cooked fresh. My daughter enjoyed her taco and churro! The Horchata was sweet but not too sweet. Overall a good visit, we'll be back! read more

A new location opened up near me decided to give it a try with the husband. They got the order wrong, there is very little meat in tacos and burritos. pico literally consist of less than a tablespoon of tomato and onion in each taco. We've been to this new location twice now. The first time was a mob scene and service was very very slow. I order the someburro bowl and my husband got the taco salad with beef. The bowl was incorrect the first time, then they brought out a correct one without beans and it was so small it looked like a kids plate. They then brought me a 3rd bowl which was now cold and still very small. I gave up. My husband's taco salad was good. 2nd visit I got a taco salad with chicken. The salad was good but the chicken on it tasted more like mushy tuna. I will likely give it another shot because it's close but so far the food is nothing to rave about and the price isn't cheap. read more

This place is awesome! Been going to Someburros in Phoenix for over 35 years. Try the bean and cheese burros and green chile burros.

We love this place. Everything isn't perfect all the time but they do try. The food is always hot and the service is excellent. The manager comes around and check on you. If there's a problem he will make it right immediately. The horchata is The only complaint I have if you call it that is the food takes forever to come out. read more
