The property has always been well maintained and continues to be, like professional landscaping and snow removal and cleaning up. They are good about screening people so I've had great luck with neighbors and feel safe and at home. I love that they do community events and I've really connected with friends because of this program. There is nothing more personal than where you choose to live and how you spend your time. I choose here because I love it and prefer to have it all done for me rather than spend my time doing yard work and home repairs on my weekends. The building itself is quiet and the soundproofing is adequate, I have no problems with noise. The facilities are clean and the pool was consistently clear in the summer. The staff in the leasing office are always friendly! There is more than enough parking. The only time I placed a maintenance request at 9pm it was answered first thing the next morning. The complex is on the pricey side compared to other older complexes in McHenry county but I like how each building only has a few units compared to those other options.

It took 9 months to find this place, and I was losing hope, until I found the facebook marketplace listing for this place. I lived in CL most of my life, moving from town to town, but I had never heard of these apartments until I saw the post. They were quick and responsive to get me in for a tour, and were very up front and honest about how fast the apartments go here, I have had places scheduled 3 days in advance, drove 40+ minutes to go see it, and they tell me they don't have anything to show me. Luckily, Lindy was very nice and showed me the show room and said it wouldn't be much different from the 2 bed 2 bath I was looking for. After the tour and information received, she said I'd have to act fast because it really wouldn't last. I talked to my roommate, and we decided to apply right then and there. We got approved a few days later, and were a bit nervous because we couldn't see the place till we moved in, but it exceeded our expectations. It turned out so much better than any other place we had looked at, we finally had a home. They were also very sweet and gave us a little welcome home package :) Meanwhile, Lindy was so nice during the whole entire process, she said she'd help us find a home, and she truly did. Any questions I've had, she has always happily answered. We get newsletters every month, it's nice being informed, I wasn't aware we needed to change filters every 3 months, in the letter it states that, I emailed them and they replied the next day to schedule maintenance to come out. My dishwasher has also been leaking water, maintenance is here today and fixing it in a timely manner, and being very polite. I appreciate the leasing office and maintenance always being so kind, my roommate and I really enjoy living here so far! i've lived in other complexes who weren't as kind, all I can say is, Thank you!

I came back about 3 days later to drop off soup and some other things . Nothing was plowed , the sidewalks you cannot walk on . There are children from 2 near by schools who walk and I can't believe what I saw. These children , 10-14 years old could not walk with slipping or falling on the sidewalks . Going forward , it's 1-19-2026 and it's freezing cold and dangerous weather . Again nothing has been plowed or shoveled . I'm not exactly what lawsuit the HOA or Management company are looking at . My best advice is to keep it plowed and all can walk to a freaking mail box without slipping and falling . I'm done . I hope someone gets this . I do have pictures but not able to publish without consent since I was just a visitor and noticed the deplorable condition that this sub is in . It's the Parkview Property in Crystal Lake . This management company should be ASHAMED . These are mostly elderly folks and you apparently don't give a S....d to even care .

Northwest Properties Management (Mark Gray) who manages the HOA for Villas of the fields in Naperville repeatedly lied by ghosting and scamming its tenants denying submitted Work orders from vendors outside of the contractor (Chris Edwards (Edwards Installations) ) which NW properties Managements uses for its contractor services. Chris Edward the contractor inflated unnecessary repairs and cost for repairs and would never provide any details about his estimate. In turn, the NW properties managing the HOA (Mark Gray) purposely denied work orders from other outside vendors, without any details as to what was needed for approval to repair the balconies at the Villas of the fields in Naperville. NW properties and Edwards Installations fabricated reasons or never responded denying outside vendors to repair balconies to scam and force their tenants to use (Chris Edwards) Edwards Installations who is a friend of the Manager Mark Gray at Northwest Properties Management. Be aware of the lack of professionalism and unethical practices of this HOA management and its contractors.

My townhouse was gorgeous, and it immediately felt like home. Unfortunately, in July, a car parked in my garage experienced an electrical fire that caused significant damage to my unit, making it temporarily uninhabitable. It was an incredibly stressful situation, but what happened next confirmed that I chose the right place to live. The Waters Edge management team has been absolutely outstanding. They were on-site during the fire, offering support and reassurance to me and my sons when we needed it most. Since then, they've gone above and beyond--arranging temporary housing within the community, helping coordinate furniture, answering countless questions, and guiding me through every step of the process with genuine care and compassion. You don't truly know how good a management team is until something unexpected happens. Waters Edge exceeded every expectation I could have had. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to their residents have been nothing short of incredible. I loved living here before the fire. After seeing how they take care of their residents during a crisis, I appreciate this community even more. HIDDEN FEES, ZERO MANAGEMENT & HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT TEAM. The gate is ALWAYS broken, there is dog…read moresh** all over the property 24/7, many of the residents smoke cigarettes & weed, leaving them on the ground for the dogs to ingest, all with ZERO consequences while the lease contract states it is prohibited. How does this make any sense? And how is this fair to the residents who actually adhere to the lease? This property is the biggest joke. Read on if you need more supporting evidence. Prospective residents - DO NOT MOVE HERE. I lived here for 3+ years, was an exemplary resident, took excellent care of my unit, garage & overall surroundings at this complex, only to be charged hidden and inaccurate fees upon moving out. We were charged for the bedroom carpet replacement (apparently due to pet damages), when our emotional support animals were NEVER in the bedroom. This damage was clearly done with the residents prior -- all of the blinds and trim were completely chewed up from the previous residents' dog. We are clearly paying for the previous residents' pet damages. It is incredibly disturbing that this complex is charging us for carpet replacement for our emotional support dogs that were never in this area - to add, it is illegal to charge for this when it is normal wear and tear. We have yet to be provided a final account statement in PDF version and the complex has refused to provide any communication or direction on what is going on with our security deposit that we made upon move in. Also find this to be extremely concerning as it appears they are trying to withhold it without actually communicating anything to us. Continental Properties Customer Service One word, UNPROFESSIONAL. The woman who is in charge of this customer service line, NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. And it is even more difficult to have her respond to any emails in a timely manner! I reached out 10+ times via phone and email, only for her to relay that she was going on vacation and would return the following week. No urgency, no attention to detail to understand that this would lead to us incurring late fees due to her failing to address our concerns prior to her little vacation. This was so beyond unprofessional, disrespectful, and just disgraceful behavior for what appears to be the SOLE person handling these final statement inquiries. Packages This is probably one of the largest inconveniences of this property. There is a parcel garage and packages constantly get stolen from this garage on the DAILY. I have had over 6+ packages go missing in the last year, that led to extreme frustrations as the complex refused to take any accountability or provide any assistance. I spent countless hours on multiple packages, reaching out to the carrier, all for them to say they dropped it in the correct area. Your neighbors WILL steal your packages. Management So friendly when you move in and when you are a resident. The second you have any type of problem, or you are no longer a resident, you get the silent treatment and completely ignored. They have ZERO desire to provide any support, guidance, or assistance once you're no longer living there. The management team and customer service team has been the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with in my time. BUT, you know the second this review is posted, I will receive some sappy response about how sorry they are that I had a negative experience and how they are committed to ensure residents have a good living experience, blah, blah, blah. I have so much more I could include, but frankly, I don't want to spend hours more of my time on this disgusting and unprofessional community. This move out has caused me severe emotional distress and while I am pregnant, due to the lack of communication and hidden fees being charged by management, as well as the extreme unprofessionalism from their Customer Service team of 1. Future residents - save yourself and your family, find another complex. This place is anything but luxury!!!
