    Beer flight

The beer was pretty good and I liked the option that I could do a flight to try different kinds. But the food was so bad. It's really the only reason why I'm giving three stores. We ordered tater tots and the Buffalo dip. Both were super cold and tasted terrible.

Something wicked is our favorite brewery in Hanover (don't tell the others ). They have an awesome variety of beers and guest taps. Their incessant debauchery is ever changing but always a favorite. We finally made it to their Bloody Mary brunch and it did not disappoint! It was an awesome deal and the add on options were on point. They service was excellent and hot damn that burger was delicious!

Stopped in for a Crowler - picked the Dancing Plum Sour. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The place looked clean and was following mask procedures on the inside.

Came here with my boyfriend and beer-loving uncle right before they closed. Definitely a creepy entrance? Almost feels like you're going through the beginning of a haunted house or some weird rollercoaster in Disney. Their bathrooms were clean and parking was easy to find. It's a cool, spacious place. The coolest thing about it is you can download this app and pick songs to play (Jukebox 2016, y'all).

This place is my favorite craft brewery in the hanover area. The location has a lot of potential being downtown near other bars/restaurants.

The food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and they had a huge menu with plenty of food and drink options to choose from. Everything about the experience was impressive, from the quality of the meal to the overall atmosphere. This is definitely a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and a solid local spot to check out. I will absolutely be going back.

I was really disappointed by the new Sign of the Horse location in Hanover. The original space was…read morecozy and welcoming; this new one feels cold, generic, and poorly thought out--honestly more like the Eagles than a place with any personality. And if I wanted that unimaginative vibe, I'd just go to the Eagles. We sat in a booth, but the bar area looked far more inviting--as long as you're facing forward and ignoring the afterthought that is the rest of the seating. The layout just doesn't work. I also didn't see any of the familiar faces from the original location, which was discouraging and made the place feel even less like the Sign of the Horse I remembered. When you walk in, if anyone is at the host stand, they grab a carafe of water from a cooler and lead you to your table... but no glasses. Are customers supposed to pass the carafe around communally? It was awkward and off-putting. The food was fine, but nothing special--and certainly not good enough to make up for the atmosphere. Overall, this move stripped away everything that made the place enjoyable. I won't be back.

We sat upstairs in the brewpub area. We would have preferred a regular table, but it seemed like they really wanted to seat us at a high-top. I didn't feel like pushing back, so we took it. I assumed maybe they were trying to keep the four-top regular tables open, but by the time we left, the high-tops were full and the regular tables were still empty. Maybe there was a reason for it, but it made the seating feel a little odd. For food, I split the meatball appetizer and the tarragon chicken salad sandwich with another person. Both were good. The meatballs were golf-ball sized and served in a small skillet of marinara with two slices of bread. No complaints on taste or quality. The sandwich was also solid and about what I expected from the menu. That said, the pricing felt a little high for what we got. The sandwich was $14 and did not include a side, and the four-meatball appetizer was also $14. Again, the food was good, but it was definitely on the pricier side. I also had the cream ale and the blonde ale. I don't remember the exact prices, but they seemed in line with the styles and I enjoyed both. My biggest complaint was the 3.99% credit card surcharge. That seems steep, especially at a restaurant where lunch can already add up quickly and most people probably aren't carrying enough cash to cover a full meal. To their credit, there was ample signage about the surcharge, so it was not a surprise at checkout. Still, at this price point, adding nearly 4% for using a card left a bad impression. Without the surcharge, this probably would have been a 4-star experience for me. The food and beer were good, and I did not have any real complaint about the quality. But the surcharge, combined with the slightly odd seating experience and higher prices, brings the overall visit down to 3 stars. Overall, I'd consider going back, but the seating experience and credit card surcharge would make me think twice.

I didn't get any drinks, but my friends really enjoyed the beers here. Food was not the best. I personally enjoyed my coconut curry chicken, but my friends weren't impressed with their food, notably the sourdough bread on the sandwiches and the chicken pot pie being particularly unimpressive. If you come, stay clear of the sourdough and pot pie but the beer is good!
