The branch is well stocked with most of the main ELC lines of toys and is especially well stocked in the traditional classic wooden toys. However, as always bigger stores and online will always give you the benefit of the full range. However it's always nice to see the toys in the flesh and be able to handle them before buying or ordering online.

I went in searching for a small toy to give to a new-born relative. Upon entering, I couldn't believe how scary and overwhelming this place is! True, if you're a kid, this place is a flashing, brightly-coloured, magical dream. But for a normal adult, it's almost a bit too much. There are toys from floor to ceiling everywhere you look, massive models of famous Disney characters and huge Lego models. Wow. So many toys though. This place really does what it says on the tin.

The store is a nice decent size, not too big to be overwhelming but large enough to have a lot of stock without being cramped. the only downside is if you phone them, they have a very strange holding system that either cuts you off or plunges you into unknown depths of silence for an indeterminable amount of time!

They don't technically deliver but i don't drive and have two small children and wanted to order some large outdoor toys. I had 'issues' with toys r us and their protocols so rang Conways up and they took the order over the phone and for a very modest fee they arranged for an area manager to deliver as a one off for us. now THAT is what I call good old fashioned customer service. The selection of toys is immense, the staff are approachable and helpful and remain so whether you buy or just browse. I highly recommend this toyshop.

Staff are helpful and generally quite knowledgeable, and there's the opportunity to try out many of the toys. You can make 3 figures for a fiver, which makes a very unique and fun gift! I was making mini versions of my family to give to my dad for his birthday. So he can always have us near! I loved every minute of my visit to the Lego store (and it was probably heading towards the 70 minute mark too!) Even though towards the end I was getting a bit frustrated that they had a limited choice for female outfits and loads of stuff for the men. Shocking sexism Lego, sort it out! ;) It was great to see all the young kids running about the shop getting really excited about all the amazing Lego kits; it's so brightly coloured and the staff are VERY enthusiastic and helpful even if you're a big kid. So if you're like me and you grew up annoying your parents by littering the front room with Lego then you've definitely got to visit the Lego store.
