How wrong I was! It's a gorgeous set-up with chandeliers and fabric draped across the ceiling with luxurious silky curtains. It reminded me of a princess's dressing room (and boy does she have good taste!) No two items are the same and they choose only the finest quality vintage outfits, none of that run of the mill 'I'll have to sew that here, and take that up there' nonsense. They not only sell vintage but also designer and upcoming labels which are all mixed together on the rails, hanging lovingly side by side could be a stunning designer dress and a 1920s vintage piece. The price ranges are as varied as the styles with dresses ranging from £20 to around £500 so everyone has the opportunity to buy their little piece of unique clothing! The accessories were amazing, they had headbands, brooches, rings, earrings... all sorts of little gems that would be great as gifts or as a personal treat, now these were the real bargains, all carefully handpicked and oh so cheap. Forget the common Topshop dresses and the outfit clashes and purchase some top quality threads from a boutique that will make you feel like royalty. They had some beautiful prom dress style formal wear, I just need an occasion and I'll be back with my credit card quicker than you can say Gok Wan.

Despite the designer look and really good fashion the prices are great but don't be mistaken - you should not start comparing April Boutique to TK Max. Even in the window is a sign just to inform the casual passer by of payment plans which are available. I don't know about you, but I don't plan on taking out a mortgage for a dress anytime soon! However, this boutique exudes elegance, celebrity chic and high fashion. Even the mannequins glitter with silver mirrors, enticing custom into the shop. When I have been by, it has always seemed empty but if only one customer bought a dress per day, I think they'd make their rent! A shopping experience for the rich, the VIP and the wannabe wealthy. And on top of that you have to spend your life wearing granny bras and over-the-shoulder-bolder-holders. Now that there's a Bravissimo in Liverpool, all that has changed. Say goodbye to your dull grey bosom buddies that could theoretically be used as hammocks. Bravissimo stocks girly, colourful bras that fit all sizes, even the sizes that you didn't dream were physically possible without surgical enhancement. Not only that, they also have a range of clothes and swimwear for the top-heavy lady. I'm not really bothered about the swimwear, as I don't like strap marks so my bikinis usually disappear as long as no one's looking, but the clothes are essential. Available in curvy, really curvy or super curvy, even the sizes don't make you think of yourself as overly big. A must have for all top heavy women, but good for 'normal' sizes too. If you haven't discovered Bravissimo yet, I pity your boyfriends.....

They come in all shapes, sizes and colours so it doesn't matter if you want to look pretty in pink or bold in blue, they have it all. Their prices are normally higher than most standard stores but this is understandable due to their difference. Bravissimo is not your average shop and you will not find any shop similar nearby, so it is a great place to find what you're looking for.

Same sorts of clothes as everywhere else, and a small shoe and bag section, with some additional accessories near the till. For some reason there always seems to be a lot of mums with pushchairs in here, though I can't quite figure out why. I must say, I preferred the old store near Lewis's, while the stock was similar, the shop was larger and brighter, there was more stuff and more space to look; it was a little decrepit, but it wasn't in St John's which I tend to find dark and claustrophobic Now there is no alternative I shop here. The stock is variable with some obligatory tat but an occassional bargain (as with most of these style stores) and the staff are always on hand and very helpful.

All the extras and accessories are available with lots of jewellery and hair pieces all laid out on dressing tables. In all honesty, I do feel The Little Boutique is a little overpriced as the stock, while it may be handmade/designer/boutique/one-off, whatever, it can often appear a little, well, tacky, even dare I say tarty, perhaps that's a little harsh, as I say I like to browse here, and the staff are really genuine always saying hello and allowing you to look around freely.

The men's fashion primarily falls into two categories of modern, urban wear - what with your hoodies and printed, pop-culture t shirts n that - and vintage clothing - old clothes. Within these there is plenty that can be found for all tastes as long as you are veering towards the casual side of things and like more independent, smaller names. The trainers aren't quite as varied as some other retailers but as the store has recently expanded there's no reason to suggest that Resurrection doesn't have its eyes set on dominating the Liverpool fashion scene completely.

The reason I find it weird is because this place gives me the creeps but in an interesting fashion! It is almost Adams family like in nature and I used to love the Adams family! The store has now moved to a bigger location after it had to be closed due to the Paradise Street Project in 2008. It hosts the type of wear that would attract those who are more gothic and emo in style, so it is a great store to have as you won't find a similar store anywhere else.

I still think it's great, they've got some cool vintage shops with wacky names like 'Curious Orange' and a piercing studio upstairs which I'd definitely recommend even if I personally wouldn't get my nose pierced again. Also, I noticed a small Tarot reading stall tucked away amid the labyrinth of mini shops; I don't put any stock in that but it could be a bit of a laugh. So if it's a blast from the past, some 'Cult Vinyl' or luminous nail-varnish and hair-dye you were looking for, you need search no further.

The reason that this place is so memorable is due to its sheer vastness which really is something to behold. There is floor after floor of bargain shopping and no matter what your opinion of Primark is there really is a bargain to be had for all here. This place is always packed and can feel over crowded at times but if you bag a good deal then it is worth all the hassle most definitely. The staff here are okay too although the waiting times can be a little bit extortionate. If you are in Liverpool city centre and don't mind a bit of a wait then check it out you might pick up a little treat for yourself.

When I think of Primark I think of big queues, big crowds, modern stores and cheap clothes but also…read moreclothes on the lower-quality side, mainly down to the price with Primark basically being a clothing version of ALDI. Located on Church Street, it is basically right bang in the heart of the One and the centre of Liverpool so the location here is really good, the store is quite large and is in an old building so is nowhere near as modern on the outside, or even the inside as other Primark stores I have visited including stores in Gateshead, Cardiff, Newcastle and Amsterdam, most of which I have visited in the past and awarded a three-star rating to. A lack of renovation could let the store down more than ever now, following H&M locating into the old BHS unit, with a more modern store as the retailer is similar to Primark so action is needed soon. This branch of Primark in a way reminds me of Southport's store, inside it isn't too impressive or modern - which is a shame and it contradicts what you would expect considering Liverpool is a big city, the second biggest in north-west England. I didn't like this store, not just because of the poor overall feel but it just was really untidy, I lost count of clothes on the floor before even getting to the men's section (the ladies section os on the ground floor), and by the looks of things, it looked like it had been that way for a while and staff were unbothered by it, and not doing anything to change it, making it an unsatisfactory and unpleasant place to shop overall. An untidy, uninspiring store which even lets Primark down, if you compare this to other branches of Primark including those in Gateshead and Amsterdam, which I did like, it looks like a completely different store, mainly down to the overall feel, staff and cleanliness of a store, this isn't a store I can reccomend or justify anything over a one-star rating for on this occasion.
