Let me mention the positives first, and please stay with me for an important message about the lack…read moreof cleanliness. Our family had two rooms here for a family trip. Beautiful rooms with a water closet and sink, and another room with a sink and whirlpool bath/shower. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion included. Krups machine that makes coffee and tea is available. Blow dryer. No steamer or iron. Beautiful courtyard! Pool was lovely! The hotel seemed centrally located, near many restaurants and a mall. Our kids' room was ready, but ours was not at regular check-in time. They gave my husband a 25 Euro credit. Nice of them. Our college kids had a room with 2 twins next to our room, which had two twins pushed together. No problem for us. No one slept well on the beds except me. Certainly not the Marriott Bonvoy experience we are used to. We were disappointed that the breakfast buffet only included one person per room. Seems like it should be all or none. Poor value. Here comes the worst...my daughter and I each used the whirlpool bath in our rooms on the last night. We compared notes after because neither of us could believe what we were seeing! When the water drained, there was filth, actual filth remaining in the tub! In her tub and in mine. Oh, the horror! The absolute disgust! My entitled Americanism! The next morning I showed the picture to the woman at the front desk. She wondered why I didn't call housekeeping. I tried to explain that she was missing the point. I bathed in that gunk. She explained that when multiple guests use the tub, grime can get caught in the jets. I just stopped listening at that point.
Do better, Marriott Bonvoy.
And people, be forewarned: I'm going to share the picture.
