Great shop, helpful assistant, plenty of choice. A good find on my holiday visit to Denia. Was a bit more expensive than UK, but different and stylish. Bit more expensive than other store but better quality. read more

It was started by Ignacio Sanz and his son, Mateo, and is tucked away behind the Cathedral on the Calle de la Vieja Juderia, #3. The ceramic statues which are representative of the history of Segovia are positively charming, as is the studio itself. The ceramic creations are true Segovian folkart, which tell the story of Segovia and it's people, and celebrate its unique character. Ignacio and Mateo have distinct artistic styles, but both are great ceramicists, and very nice people. In addition to selling folkart statues, they also make beautiful white & green glaze pottery dishes and crockery. In addition to being a ceramicist, Ignacio is also a writer, poet and playright and involved in many cultural events in Segovia. I highly recommend checking out this studio and finding a treasured memory to take home with you as a keepsake. The prices are very reasonable, and Ignacio & Mateo take great care to pack the ceramics carefully in preparation for air travel. You won't be disappointed!
